This place is horrible. Bought a microwave and it didn’t fit and was defective. Went to return less then 2 hrs due to it not fitting and would not accept return. They said don’t allow returns on as is merchandise unless it was defective or damaged. Then said even if it was the system will not allow them to return it. No one said anything to us when we purchased the microwave and there is nothing on the receipt that states this. This place is extremely shady and I can understand why people shop at Home Depot instead.
The Customer Service at Marysville's Lowe's Home improvement could use some improvement itself. The "Returns" desk attendant refused to help me with a defective part on the grounds that my item was purchased at a different Lowe's store. The Lowe's website says..."If you’re not completely satisfied with your Lowe’s purchase, simply return the merchandise to ANY Lowe’s store in the US... Most new, unused merchandise can be refunded or exchanged with receipt within 90 days of the original purchase date..." I had a receipt that was within the specified number of days. My contractor was shocked because he routinely returns or exchanges items or parts at different stores without any issues. I don't know if this behavior reflects poor knowledge about policies and procedures or just a plain unwillingness to provide service to the customer but, whatever it is, it should be genuinely addressed by the store's management.
