I recently visited your Galax store, admittedly unsure of exactly what I needed and clearly looking a bit lost. Before I even had a chance to ask for help, I was approached by a genuinely kind and professional gentleman named Brian. From the very beginning, his approach was not at all pushy or sales-driven—it was clear he simply wanted to help. He had that rare ability to read the situation and offer assistance in the most thoughtful, sincere way.

Without hesitation, Brian stepped in with a warm demeanor, sharp knowledge, and a clear passion for helping others. Despite being new to this location—he mentioned he had recently transferred from another Lowe’s—it felt like he had been working at this store his entire career. He knew exactly what I needed, asked all the right questions, and offered expert advice without making me feel rushed or overwhelmed.

This was, hands down, the best customer service experience I’ve ever had at a Lowe’s. Usually, it’s a challenge just to find someone available to assist, let alone someone who treats you like it’s a privilege to help. Brian went above and beyond in every way. His professionalism, kindness, and expertise are what I would call top-tier—this is the gold standard of customer service.

I believe Brian may have been a store manager—and if he’s not, he absolutely should be. He carries himself with the kind of leadership, knowledge, and care that inspires trust and elevates the entire customer experience. This is someone who not only sets the standard but raises it.

Lowe’s needs more people like Brian. He wasn’t just helpful—he was exceptional. He should be recognized and, frankly, he should be the one training others. His level of customer care and enthusiasm can’t be taught—it’s just who he is. You can tell he loves what he does and genuinely enjoys making a difference in people’s day.

Thank you, Brian, for turning what could have been a stressful visit into a fantastic one. I’ll absolutely be going out of my way to shop at the Galax store from now on because of this experience.

Well, I placed an order online and went in to pick all of it up from the pro deck.
Now with it being so early in the morning before 8 am the pro desk person was not in just the checkout person, when I spoke with them they acted like they did not understand what I was picking up.
They told me I had to go to customer service now when I get to customer service. The person at the desk said why did they send you back down here? When you ordered it from the pro desk it's up there, she nicely called✨️ someone and asked them to meet me at the poor desk area for a pickup, and guess what it was the same person.
Now, that's what I call bad customer service i just laughed out loud and smiled.

Had parts missing from windows purchased at Lowes and installed by myself. Talked with Travis Taylor and he was able to find replacement parts and made my issues disappear.
Kudos to a real professional problem solver with a very pleasant demeanor. This type of employee...really exists...still. Thanks for what you do!!

I don't do business at this store anymore because I can't get checked out and I don't check my self out because I don't work there give me a 10 percent discount and I will check my self out and the only reason why I was there I give someone a ride that day

Lady was very rude to my parents , when they tried to pay, she was yelling which buttons to press and she got aggravated. She puts her back toward them when they showed up,…I don’t know if she’s having a bad day but don’t take it out on other people. This is not the first time, I’ve been informed for this kind of behavior.

Stopped here in passing 10/24/24 to peruse fall flowers for my terrace. I was greeted by a wonderful gentleman named Kimry. He was polite, super helpful and a great conversationalist! He informed me Lowe's was having a sale on flowers, so I stocked up! After check-out, he personally helped me take my purchases to my car. Stop by, and you won't be disappointed. Especially if you head to the gardening department and meet Kimry! If management is reading this, he deserves a raise! Interacting with him was such a a pleasant experience, and he is really superb at his job!

Been doing a lot of business with them, and I was registering for PRO, they found a card with my email attached to it, and just needed to be updated to PRO! Here I thought my card had been shut down, because I received a notice from Lowe's back in Michigan! AMAZING!

Placed an online order for lumber 2x4s and other stuff was a good size order. It was expensive and prices inflated on such bad lumber. The quality was horrific the 1 out of ever 3 where warped so bad you can use them. Some were split so bad and in multiple spots. Some were even twisted. The osb was all chipped up. The tempers were bent so bad. Delivery was 4 days past the delivery date. I will not order from Lowe’s again now we have to load back up all the bad lumber and take it back. Just to turn around and go to another store and buy more lumber. The staff is nice but the quality and price is not.

I went to get 3 12’ 2x10s. I didn’t realize how heavy one of them would be. As I was standing there contemplating how I would get them from the rack onto my cart, a very nice and helpful Lowe’s employee appeared and asked if he could assist me. He loaded the boards, rolled the cart to the front and then loaded them on my truck. He even helped tie them down and attach a flag to the end of one board. I was so appreciative of his volunteering to help me. Galax Lowe’s has some awesome employees!
