I just came home from Lowes in Wytheville after making a special trip (30 miles round trip) to buy pea gravel. I purchased 15 bags and waited for an hour with no one coming to load it for me. I tried to do it myself, but it was just too heavy for me. I asked for a refund at customer service and was told the loader was at lunch. Only one person can load in that store? And why didn’t the sales associate tell me that? I’m taking my business to Home Depot from now on. I wasted a trip and a couple of hours on the attempt, but won’t go back.

Staff was extremely helpful, even had some customers help out due to some issues. Staff was very understanding, knowledgeable where and what I needed, didn't try to upsell me on more expensive items did show them but wasn't pushing them stuck to what I was asking for immediately plus ordered what I needed that was out of stock that day. Thank you to all the staff here to help out a individual like me and be able to feel as I am not being pushed, persuaded to purchase something I don't need, and having almost always items I need in stock.

We have had a great experience with Lowe's. Since our hotel is under renovation, we visit almost every day. Matt, Jay, Nathan, and Steve provide exceptional customer service. These guys always work hard, and I've seen them for a long time—they've always treated me well. They are the best employees at Lowe's.

This is a great store . Several good department specialist in the store as well. As far as their corporate decisions on in stock merchandise puzzles me at times and the mark-up on merchandise is a little on the higher side still yet . It's a very needed store for wytheville. We shop here often if we drive that direction.

Lowe's in wytheville is ok, For quick common needs. If you want a better selection go to the Galax store. They seem to have better service also.

Ok for the most part.. Some things are a little more pricey than others. There's a few friendly employees willing to help normally. However they don't always give u a chance to link the order to your phone or email. Nor do they want to scan ur Member ID and the lumber end never has any carts to use for big items like plywood or 2x's because the employees are always using them!!!

OK, I suppose, if you don't need help in any way. While there are a couple of notable exceptions, the staff is largely in need of being allowed to collect unemployment benefits. Went there to spend around $3,000 on plywood, roofing and other goods and had to wait an hour for someone to come help us. The help consisted of hauling a pallet of shingles to just outside the door and giving us a price on a pallet of plywood. I am debating whether it's better to drive an extra half hour to 45 minutes to go to a different Lowe's or a Home Depot.

Everything was great but this review is especially for Cheyenne in pick ups/customer service. I ended up locking my keys and phone in my car and she immediately called a local locksmith and I just really appreciate how nice and helpful she was during that stressful situation. Thank you

I ran in for a couple of items and found them quickly. The restroom is nice and clean. I browsed through the garden shop to look at bedding plants. I got healthy squash and zucchini plants that are thriving at home now. Parking was easy. Checkout was self-service and quick and easy.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
