Went to the store and ordered 32 bags of gravel to be delivered to my home. However, the delivery was moved to a different date and while their app says it is out for delivery, it never did. No calls, no email, no messages. I will try to avoid shopping at this Lowes and look for other local alternatives

THIS STORE IS A JOKE!!!!
We've been coming here for years and the staff is HORRIBLE. Gloria at customer service was the most unpleasant person I've ever dealt with.
No one speaks English and no one knows where anything is.

Lowe's management should not allow pick up options at this store - they never have it ready or know what your order is - it should not be a service they offer its it's not a service they can provide. Period.

No one around to help.
I went to ask a guy at the Pro Desk where a product was and he literally did not look up.
I said something and he said "Sorry, I'm signing off for the evening". Unbelievable.
Shelves are a mess, I hate going in there, always a waste of my fime.

This is the least helpful store. Only had 4 pieces of pressure treated lumber when online it stated they had more than enough for our project. They had longer 16’ boards and we figured we could have them cut down for our 1 1/2 hr drive home. Had to purchase 1st, cart it up to the register and then cart back to the saw— only to be informed they cannot cut “that type of wood” with the saw. Don’t waste your time.

If you're looking to be treated poorly, this is your location.

After three separate visits to speak with someone in the Cabinets department, I was finally connected with an employee I was told could help me. I was the only customer in both Appliances and Cabinets at the time, I wasn't taking her away from any other customers.

When we sat down to begin planning the cabinets for my rental property, I mentioned I was interested in pre-built, non-custom cabinets. The employee immediately responded with an eye roll and a comment that I should be going with custom cabinets. That was the first of about ten eye rolls during our brief 7-minute conversation, along with a general attitude of annoyance and condescension.

It became very clear that she wasn’t going to help me, so I got up and left—frustrated and disappointed.

Lowe’s has signs posted asking customers to treat employees with respect. But I have to ask: why is it acceptable for your employees to treat your customers with such disrespect?

This experience was disheartening. I hope Lowe’s leadership takes this as an opportunity to reflect on the customer experience they’re allowing in their stores.

Stopped in to get some materials, and to my surprise, hardly anyone spoke English, wanted me to talk into there phone to translate, didn't happen, found a person to talk to after bout 10 min, so all was good.

Terrible store. No one knows where anything is. Stuff is "in stock" but buried on a pallet outside under snow. Best one, came to pick up online order and item was not it stock even though it said it was ready. Walked with employee to item area and he claimed it wasn't there, even though I was looking at a dozen of the item. A few competent employees but mostly garbage employees or management. Only one person that can run a forklift and they won't be on shift until tomorrow? Really? Done with this store after how much time and money I've spent here remodeling my home over the years. Rather just drive to Avon now.

The absolute worst establishment. For the third time they have sent a delivery and refused to install. Customer service is an absolute joke and hung up on me and refused to even attempt to make things right. Too bad this Lowe’s monopolized the mountains. I will pay more money and shop elsewhere. This is coming from a gold member.

Over the top impressive service from Allan B! I called the store with questions and was put in touch with Allan. He was extremely knowledgeable! I drove 2 hours to get to the store to pick up items. Allan helped me with all my store needs. Lowe’s is lucky to have such an exceptional employee.

I looked for five minutes, then waited for five minutes, then asked for help from a neighboring department. Fifteen minutes later a nancy-boy came over to help. They said, "don't be shy.". I told him/her I needed yellow outdoor paint, he/she said "you need yellow paint for outdoors? I can't do that.". Is this the worst Lowe's in the world?

This has to be the worst lowes ive ever had to deal with and im done with it. I can give endless issues but ill just stick with a few. Needed some spray on bed liner. Go to where the store locater says it it. None finally find an employee they say its been moved to lawn and garden. After searching for it in there I finally found it the cans were all damaged and even rusted from being in the elements. Ok no big deal just waisted a bunch of time before going to ace. I went to get some more kolbolt tools in the cage. Went to the cashier 3 times to try to get someone to open it for the tools. Nobody must have been working in that department because after 45 minutes I finally gave up left and went to murdocks and got what I needed in a diffrent brand that I guess I should be using in the first place but I wanted to stick with kolbolt. The one time I actually did find an accosiate in tools I was getting some loose sockets for a emergency kit he stood over me kept asking me what I was looking for and followed me to the checkout like I wasn't going to pay for something. Today I went on 2 separate occasions for work because online said they had the item we needed to only find out they don't. The second trip I must have hit the help button 5 cycles to get help in the lawn equipment. Even with the loud speaker going off no one would help employee after employee walked buy and even a manager went right on buy paying more attention to the female workers than the customers. When I finally went to customer service to ask for a managers help even though he heard I needed help he just went an hid in the office . Even though the only helpful lady at the customer service desk went in and asked him 3 times to help he finally sent someone to talk to me while being nice had no clue about how to help find the item that was supose to be in stock or even try to get something that would compair. So yet again I headed off to the other stores and this time they steered me into a better option. This store makes me to never step in a lowes ever.

This Lowe’s has particularly talented sales prevention crew members.

Just experienced a Lowe’s associate trying to frustrate us with his slowness and with what he told us so he could get out getting what we needed down from top stock. First, he looked all over the aisle to see if he didn’t have to get top stock down. Second, he wandered all over the store to find aisle-blocking barriers when there were three available within 15 feet in the center aisle. Third, he did the same with finding a lift. Finally, as he was getting on the lift, he told us that what we needed wasn’t in his normal department.

Sorry, Dude. We, Lowe’s customers, need what we need. And it’s your job to get it for us when we cannot get it ourselves. It should have taken you 10 minutes, maximum, to get the product down. The 30 minutes it took you and all the antics you pulled were ridiculous. Unfortunately, for you, one of us is a retired 30-year retail executive. Your tactics won’t work on us.

A miserable experience. I went in to this low grade store with a list of building supplies and half the items that were shown on the website could not be found. I also encountered rude stockers. I'll make the drive to Home Depot in Golden next time. A truly disgusting experience

Lowes lack of communication for both deliveries and repairs is incredibly poor. 3 days in a row... 2 days with deliveries and 1 day for a repair. Each day we were promised a call 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to them arriving at the condo. 3 days in a row, I received a call when they are standing at the condo, threatening to leave if I don't get there immediately. 3 days in a row their inability to communicated as promised through the rest of my days off because I had to rush to meet the Lowes people. COMMUNICATE!!!

Anne was an exceptional customer service representative . I came in frantic with a list of items I needed and she without hesitation helped me gather all my items and went above and beyond. The Lowe’s store in Silverthorne is typical for a Lowes in general but the staff tends to be dominated by foreign nationals that sometimes have difficulty communicating with customers. All too often I’ve found myself having to wander through the store in an effort to find a person to help with locating a product or answering a question. Warning, the App leaves much to be desired when it comes to item location…it’s often wrong. I shouldn’t complain though, our selection of Big Box Home Improvement stores is limited to one and this is it. It could be much worse but it’s certainly better than nothing!

I will admit that sometimes Lowe's isn't the easiest place to deal with if I need to help and I'm short on time. But, over the last 9 years recently it has improved. I appreciate the one on one with Joe. If I am short on time I make time if Joe is working. He is a breath of fresh air in this high altitude.

My wife and I have had an absolutely terrible experience with Lowe's home appliance delivering/installing a stove. The stove was dropped at our house, but not installed due to the tech's unfamiliarity with how to turn off a gas valve. They told us we needed a plumber, so we called a plumber (very expensive), who explained that the installers did not seem to know to simply twist the valve shut (see photo of valve below). Most frustratingly, we were promised multiple times reimbursement for our expenses. When we followed up after nothing happened, we were told to resubmit our old e-mail ("to get it to top of queue"). But to date over a month later and after over 30(!) phone calls no reimbursement for install fees have been provided.

A follow-up (4/5/2025):
We were told after this review that we will be reimbursed, but that it will take an additional month to get it through "corporate", because we cannot come to the store in person (as we are out of the area until August). We do not understand why it can't simply be refunded on the credit card we used for the initial purchase. We called the number listed in the response, and were basically told by the person who did eventually answer that they couldn't confirm that we were being reimbursed or "edit" anything on the ticket.

This one experience deserves 5 stars. I am a local and generally feel frustrated shopping here. It can be disorganized and very hard to find help- except in paint department. I hesitantly went in to look for carpeting since the “ flooring “ place nearby was closed . Brian and his assistant TJ ( I think ) were in the department. Brian was knowledgeable and quick to explain the process of selecting, measurements, installation and provided excellent tips on carpet quality and looking online to choose actual color etc - I did this and much easier than trolling the floor. His associate who was learning was attentive and followed along inserting ideas and comments politely . I certainly did not walk-in expecting to get this set up for a quick turnaround and to work with someone who was both efficient and smart made the whole experience positive and I left for the first time feeling the store had provided the service people the community deserves.

Absolutely horrific experience. Bought a 1500 dollar samsung refrigerator March of this year. It totally broke down a week ago and ive had to speak with 11 people and no less than 5 hours on the phone with no resolution on either fixing it or an exchange. If you buy from these people dont expect ANY help if the product goes bad.

I’ve had nothing but great service from this store! I finally remodeled my 70’s kitchen in a mountain condo. I’ve never done this before, and while I had a contractor to do some of the work, I had Lowe’s install the cabinets and countertops which I purchased thru the store.
Ben did most of the work helping me design the cabinets using KraftMaid cabinets, he worked his butt off. Many CAD drawings were done, lots of back and forth. Elin did a great job stepping in when he was sick. The installation contractors were so professional, always showing up on time with plenty of manpower.
We did have some problems, of course, but Lowe’s stood behind their products, the store manager , Jerry did step in to make sure we were happy.
We are almost done, but did have a miscommunication about a pickup of some cabinets, and I went in to ask about it, I was introduced to Marlon, and we worked thru the problem. He was so helpful and a pleasure to work with.
I purchased almost everything for the kitchen at this store. Cabinets, appliances, backsplash.
I really felt like Lowe’s was a great partner for this project!

No one here wants to help you and if you're lucky enough to stop someone most of them don't speak English and the ones that do have no freaking clue where anything is. They don't know how to do their jobs however they do make great paychecks for not knowing how to do their jobs!

Worst organized store I have ever been to. Online will say something is in stock when it is lost on upper shelves because it is so poorly organized. No one who works there seems to know where anything is and you can generally forget about getting help. Even when you find someone to help, they either don’t know where what you are looking for is or they need to get someone else and then mysteriously just disappear. And if someone calls overhead to get someone to meet you in a department, you can forget about it, you will be waiting until the end of eternity until a random employee happens to wander aimlessly by and then they will disappear to find someone else once again. Lowe’s is generally a good store but this one is terrible. It is only successful because there isn’t much choice in Summit County.

Horrible experience. Brent was the only good person to deal with in the store. He put all the correct info on the ticket but the delivery/install people are illiterate or otherwise stupid and didn't call, nor return calls, nor texts. The manager Randy was rude and unhelpful. Will not purchase here again.

I have been waiting for a month for a delivery of OSB. I have not gotten the supplies I paid for and when I call to cancel the order and to get a refund I get placed on hold for the nonexistent delivery team. If this is how you treat a commercial account holder, Id hate to see the average Joe.

We ordered roofing materials to be delivered by this Lowe’s a month ago, they said it would be ready by November 5th. That day they told us it would not be delivered because they didn’t have it yet. We have called every other day for the last two weeks to find out when this would be delivered. They have alternated between telling us that “it would be delivered in the next day or so” to “it hasn’t shown up yet.” The last few times that we called we have asked for a manager and have been put on hold until the phone system just hung up. We have repeatedly been told we would get a call back with a status for our order and no one has called back. Tonight when my wife finally got a hold of a manager and was understandably exasperated, she was told the order hadn’t arrived after all (even though we were told it had arrived last week at their facility) and that she should call back in the morning. We have contractors on hold and are losing money every day. We are just asking for communication and that seems impossible for this location. If they stood by their word and actually called customers back and got to the root of the problem, this would be a different review. Individually, the staff members are all polite, but incredibly unhelpful.

I ordered kitchen cabinets from Lowe’s on Labor Day 2023 with the intention of hosting Thanksgiving dinner in my new kitchen this year (2024) but after wrong measurements, damaged cabinets and discontinued appliances this project is STILL not done and it appears I will have to cancel Thanksgiving with my family this year.

SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHES, DO NOT ORDER KITCHEN CABINETS FROM LOWE’s!!

Not a single person in the store knows anything about anything, had to ask for assistance 3 times in pluming before someone came and nothing against him but he also didn’t have much knowledge. Please do better with product selection and helping to encourage sales associates to care about learning what they sell the whole vibe was nobody wants to work there or likes the job and I don’t blame them tells me there’s issues with management. Being up in high dollar country people probably always need things and having associates who clearly don’t enjoy comming to work or have any knowledge in the departments they are in including paint, was rough

Okay well this store is terrible has been terrible I bought a six tool combo kit in the Craftsman series open it up seen that there was no batteries so I tried to call the store to no avail of an answer I ended up having to call the toll-free regional number they said that I could return to the store and they would provide me with batteries got a hold of the store they said no they will not provide me with batteries without bringing the whole tool kit and living 60 mi away their refusal to solve the issue without having to drive 60 miles first with no compensation is ridiculous we live in the mountains it's not easy just to hop in a vehicle and drive 60 miles when you don't have a license either way not happy with this whole transaction just paying for it at the store was a fiasco and now I have to return back to it because somebody forgot 2 pack batteries in the combo pack ridiculous!

I have worked in retail and customer service positions for many years. I have never experienced such a horrible customer service experience as I did a few days ago. My husband and I went in to get a exterior door for our home. We drove 1.5 hours as it is sadly our only option. Many employees walking around or chatting but most a sided eye contact. We had some questions and when we finally found someone..he couldn't wait to tell us he didn't know anything about doors and said "What, do I look like a door person" but never offered to get someone to help us. I guess hecthought he was funny, not. He pointed us to someone and walked away. Next e.ployee we talked to ambivalenly said he "might" be able to help us. He told us to go by the door we wanted and he would get a cart to help. 15 min later, he was nowhere in sight. Must have been his break time. We finally managed to wrestle the door on the cart and got it to the checkout where a grumpy cashier checked us without saying more than three words to us. When we asked if someone could help us get the door into our truck. She pointed to a guy sta ding by doors. He saw all this and just stood there...no hello or anything friendly at all. Just barked an order to my husband to bring the truck around. I don't know the moral a d attitudes are soooo bad at this store, but someone should address it.

Mi estrella es por esta mujer llamada Stella o algo asi.. mi familia y familiares hasta conocidos están fastidiados de ella, se frustran que cada vez que van o les toca pagar con ella al final les dice que le den 5 estrellas y hasta les pide el celular para llenarlo ella y darse ella misma las 5 estrellas y cuando van de prisa salen hasta molestos por que es muy fastidiosa esa mujer. No saben como Hebitarla por que desde que ve a alguien les habla para atenderlos y les dice que rápido que ella lo va llenar y darse sus 5 estrellas y tiene meses y meses haciéndolo. Eso es robar o ganar haciendo trampa por que lo único es causar frustración a los que van a pagar.
Por que insiste que ella lo llena y te pide el celular.
Por respeto no le dicen nada pero deberían decirle algo por que sus estrellas son por que ella misma se las da.

Absolute worst Lowe’s. Every time I come here I have to chase people down for any type of help and when I get it, it’s rarely useful. Spent 45 minutes in the store today trying to buy a piece of plywood and have it cut and walked out because no one would help me.

I was taking care of a project at work and had three pieces of wood that we didn’t use so I took them back waiting in line and the lady that does the return was super rude and telling me that They don’t do returns without receipts. Understandably rules are in place that’s fine but it’s the way that you relay that message to your customers is what matters especially from a big business like yourself. I wish there Was a Home Depot people would realize how much Lowes isn’t a good business. That’s here in the mountains because I’ve been to Lowe’s all around and people are helpful and people are nice and people talk with Respect. I try my hardest not to come here, but sometimes you kinda have to and then You’re like oh yeah that’s the reason why I don’t come here.

Avoid Allen in appliances! Went in to discuss a bad experience with an appliance delivery. He only served to escalate my already frustrated feelings. Zero customer service skills. However, Brent stepped in and helped fix the issue. I left a satisfied buyer. Moral of the story for management: fire Allen and give Brent a raise!

Came to this Lowe’s to rent a carpet cleaner. I fill out paper work for the machine and was sent on my way. I’ve never rented a carpet cleaner before. When I came back with the machine the next day, they said it wasn’t clean. It wasn’t absolutely filthy, but it had a little bit of dirt on it for sure. The reason I am giving this star rating and review, is because Denise told me that “we tell everyone to bring it back clean”. I’m sure Denise tells everyone to bring it back clean. But the associate who helped me the day before (whoever “Head Cashier” is) gave me zero instructions on how to operate, or in what condition to return the machine. She did not ask if I had ever rented or used a carpet cleaner before. What’s worse, is when I said that no one told me anything when I left with it, the employees look at each other like they don’t believe me. I think there should be a standard protocol for employees to go over certain information before rentals leave the store. It cost me $111 to rent for 24 hours including deposit. I did not get any of my money back even though I don’t think that’s entirely fair to me. I’ve worked in retail and customer service jobs my whole life. I know how it feels to be in their position when I and/or my team screwed up. I have been in situations in my own work, where if a customer makes a big enough fuss about it in front of a manager, they will give you what you want. I’m just not that type of customer and I did not make a fuss about it. Maybe I should have.
Overall, I did not have a good experience at this Lowe’s.

Since the Silverthorne location is the closest location to our home it’s imperative that we first check that the items we need are in stock before making the hour and a half drive to the store.
All we needed for this trip were packing supplies, in particular medium size standard duty boxes.
Arriving at the store we quickly learned that the location for what we needed was empty even though when we checked online it said approximately 1,100 units were in stock. I inquired at the customer service desk and was curtly told that if they weren’t at the location they were out of stock. I pressed the customer service representative as to why the website indicated over 1,000 were in stock. He finally relented, looked it up on his computer and agreed. We went to the location and sure enough up in the overhead was a pallet full of what we needed. He indicated that he would have to get them down……. No kidding!
We told home we needed to get some lunch and would be back in about 45 minutes. He replied that he’d get right on it.
Approximately an hour later we returned to the store and the location was still empty. We returned to customer service and requested a manager. Michael eventually came out and we explained the situation and asked if he could help. He said he could. We waited while they secured a lift, blocked the aisle and got our boxes down. We thanked Michael and proceeded to self checkout as no registers we occupied. While trying to checkout we had trouble with the scanner. All this while being observed by a Lowe’s employee who stood 6 feet away playing on his phone. We finally asked if he could help. He put his phone away and took three steps over to help us and eventually we completed the transaction and left the store.
Why must this be so hard?????
Is this the level of service we can now expect in Lowe’s stores???

Updated 5/20/2025 - Kind of hard to look at the pressure treated decking I came shopping for when there 20-25 full pallets stacked in front of them !
It is hit or miss here. Today was a miss. The shelves, especially anywhere that there are parts like electrical or plumbing, are not stocked well. Quantity on hand will show they have plenty of the parts but no one can find them. Today I went in for a dryer vent cleaning kit. Online they had 6 in stock. On the employee's handheld devices they showed 7. I had five different people looking and they couldn't be found. This is not unusual here. Then I tried to get some paint mixed... but there was no one working in paint on a Friday afternoon so no paint mixing. The service desk said that the paint person had left and there was no one else to do it.

Staffing sucks! The labor pool up here is "shallow", to say the least...so my expectations were low.

Corp has done their best to cut people out of the equation, but when the app says you have 12, I can't find anyone to help, and I order it online...it's not available. Wow!

Tried to call the store...guess what...nobody answered! Literally, the phone rang for 3 minutes before I gave up.

This is the place to go after you exhaust all other local and online options. It's very difficultt to find any help. Many items are out of stock, and the aisles are crammed with pallets, making it a navigational nightmare when using a shopping cart. If you order ahead for in-store pickup, expect a long wait at customer service even after you're lucky enough to get someone willing to complete your order. If you find something in the store that doesn't ring up right, you're more likely to get a shrug from the cashier than to see them pick up the intercom to get it resolved quickly. There are a couple of helpful staff, maybe you'll find one.
