Marie, the laziest employee on Earth, not only refused to help me but also refused to call to get help. She sent me to the wrong aisle and said someone down there would help me when there were NO EMPLOYEES anywhere except at registers and I told her that. Why employ someone that obviously doesn't care about customers, her job, getting the correct answer, helping a disabled customer. Marie, go elsewhere!!!! Store manager, why allow this????? I guess I'm going to home depot. F- for Marie and her crappy attitude. You should be ashamed of the quality of customer service.

Guy was such a great help tonight at the store. Came and helped me right away, did a little magic show for my kids (who can’t stop talking about ‘The Magician’.

Thankful for Lowe’s and their team as I’ve remodeled my home… and for team members like Guy who go above and beyond.

We decided to go to lowes for our new carpet instead of the cheaper option at Home Depot. BIG MISTAKE. After hours in the store they assured us the carpet we picked was “life proof” which we decided we need based on how many kids and pets we need. The carpet is supposed to have a blue backing on it to save the pad and subfloor under from wetness. Basically the same color as the one we lived at Home Depot. They guarantee the carpet will have the blue backing because of the picture of the dog on it. They show up-carpet doesn’t have the blue backing. We are calling they are saying no it’s the right carpet it will work. I told my husband go out and pour water on it and see if it leaks through. Guess what- IT DID. So I call back I told them this is the wrong carpet and now they’re in a panic because they already ripped out our carpet. They said they have to put the carpet in and that they will fix their mistake. That was in August. We disputed the transaction several times because we just paid double for a carpet we didn’t even want and Lowe’s told the bank “they are working on it with us.” NO THEY ARENT. They aren’t working with us. We still have this stupid carpet we DONT want. They haven’t fixed their mistake. I will NEVER shop at Lowe’s again and I will NEVER recommend them. Since this altercation we have only done our shopping at Home Depot where we are treated fairly. I even sent the bank Lowe’s internal notes where they state over and over THEY MESSED UP.

I found a meter for $6.48. turns out it was a $35.00 meter in the wrong spot. But it was behind those little red pegs that are supposed to lock the packages on the racks pegs.

I am writing to share my experience at this Lowe's location, particularly regarding the management under Meredith (Store Manager), Antonio (Pro Assistant Store Manager), and Bob (Pro Department Supervisor). Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to highlight the issues surrounding management practices and employee morale.

Firstly, Meredith's management style is concerning. She consistently overworks her employees, pushing them for perfection while providing inadequate time, tools, and support. Rather than fostering a positive working environment, she often resorts to public reprimands, yelling at employees in front of their peers instead of addressing concerns privately. This not only creates a hostile work atmosphere but also erodes morale. Meredith frequently uses dismissive phrases like "drinking the Lowe's Kool-Aid" and refers to employees as "replaceable," making it clear that loyalty and effort are undervalued. This approach makes Lowe's feel like an exclusive club, one where acceptance seems contingent on “kissing her ring.”

Antonio, on the other hand, overlooks the accomplishments of his team. He rarely acknowledges the hard work of employees, instead focusing on what could have been done better, often making them feel like they are the butt of a joke. This lack of appreciation leads to feelings of inadequacy and discouragement, especially after a successful busy day.

Bob adds to the challenges by consistently overloading staff with work and expressing frustration when something is missed. While it is crucial to set high standards, a more supportive approach would benefit both the employees and the customers. When assistance is requested, all three managers encourage staff to seek help, yet their responses often make employees feel belittled and unsupported, ultimately impacting customer service.

In summary, the management team of Meredith, Antonio, and Bob creates an unproductive and demoralizing environment that affects both employee well-being and customer satisfaction. I hope that steps are taken to address these management issues for the benefit of all employees and the overall success of the store.

Came there to return an item. A lady at the return desk talking on the phone with some friend, having fun and looking at me. After something like 5 minutes conversation with a friend she says “I’ll be right back”, and disappears to never come back. After the line became huge some other person comes to the station.
Will never set foot to this store.

I promise I will never make another major purchase from Lowe's.

I recently purchased a $4,300 front door and installation from the Longview Lowe's.

It took months to get the door made and installed. Their attempt at making it a smooth process actually made it incredibly annoying. I received call after call updating me on the status of the door and the installation. A dozen calls in the middle of my work day from a call center giving me the status up the door and the installation, the same info I'd gotten the week before and the week before that...

Once the door arrived it was the wrong door. It was close to what I'd ordered but for $4,300 and all those phone calls you'd think they could have gotten it right. The kid that installed the door gave me the option to refuse the door but I'd waited so long, I just wanted it done. He suggested he'd note the issue with the door and that someone from Lowe's would be reaching out. It's been about a month but to date I've not received any communications from Lowe's.

They pulled a permit with the county to install the door which cost me a couple hundred bucks. The county inspector was flabbergasted at why they had done so, according to him "nobody pulls a permit to install a door".

The fellow that came out to sell me the door was pleasant and seemed to know his stuff, the guy who installed the door was professional and did a great job.

As a veteran my discount getting the door at Lowe's saved me $20.00...

Again, NEVER AGAIN.

I usually get great service here, everyone is really great. My only problem is a rude worker named Brenda who doesn't seem to know much about what she's doing.

Paid $700 for a new Toro battery powered recycler mower. Get home, open it, and the bag has grass in it, the inside of box, and mower has grass all over it, and stuck under it, obviously it's been used and then returned. They sold me a used mower for full retail price.

Yeah so I called the number below. Got a generic robo answering machine, wait time 15 minutes to talk to a rep. Whatever, not worth more of my time. I returned the mower and they refunded me, made me go find another identical mower, find someone to unlock the shelf, load it up, and then go buy it again. Could not just do a quick trade, could not bring another one up for me. Such a royal pain in the you know what. Never again.

Be aware that Lowe's 90-day return policy is not 3 months! I have been building my home and moving in, so the time got away from me. I had purchase ceiling medallions to go with the ceiling fans that I purchased at Lowes. They did not fit due to how close the fan mounts are to the ceiling peak. As mentioned before, time got away from me since it has been a very busy time, so I didn't get around to returning the medallions until right at the 3-month mark. The return was refused since a couple of those months had 31 days in them, so the 3-month mark was a couple of days past 90 days. While the clerk was very nice, the system would not allow her to even start the return since it was just past 90-days. I take responsibility for missing the return period but want to warn others that 90-days is not 3-months according to the Lowes' computer system.

RE: Response from the owner - I called the number given and spoke with someone on 3/3/2025. They were very nice, but since it is now past not only the 90-days but also the 3-months, they said all they could do was to submit feedback regarding the return policy. They were unable to allow me to return the items.

I was not able to warranty my craftsman torque wrench because they didn't have the exact same one. My torque wrench was bought from sears less then 10 years ago and they refused to give me the updated equivalent. So I'll have to go threw craftsmens website. Which is what I will do from now on. I will not be shopping at Lowe's anymore.

Found out while in check out with full cart my Lowe's card had been CANCELLED!
I was told it was due to periodic credit checks & I have too many "open accounts" , yes & I was approved for Lowes, made a large purchase, then kept it paid off to ZERO BALANCE until I needed something,,,then when I do,THIS is what I'm told?
UNACCEPTABLE customer service!!! Embarrassing shopping trip! Needless to say, I'll just give ALL of my home repair job shopping needs to HOME DEPOT !!! ( Along with friends & family!).

Ordered 5 windows on Nov 22nd gave us a Dec 7th delivery date. Which then switched to Dec 24th, January 7th and now switched to the 14th of January. Money has been taken out and put back into my checking account 10 times. My husband gets emails saying that there are no funds available. So needless to say he will be calling after work and canceling our order. This is unacceptable. And when asked why they take it out and put it back so many times he couldn't get a answer. No more shopping at Lowe's for us.

On Nov. 9th 2024 I purchased a double oven from Lowes.
They have a 3rd party, CRST, do their installations. During the last month in a half I learned the installers only come to the Longview area on Tue. and Sat. On top of the install and haul away, Lowes also called me on Nov. 12th and told me they needed to charge an extra on $45 to have the 3rd party installer come out to do measurements on top of what I paid for installation and haul away.
The 3rd party, CRST, measurement employee was supposed to come on Nov. 19th and ended up cancelling at the last minute. He ended up coming a week latter on the 26th. He was supposed to check to see if the old double oven arrangement was going to work for the new unit. He failed to let us know that the junction box needed to be moved to the upper part of our cabinet so the new unit could be installed. We did not know this so when the installers came on Saturday, Nov. 30th, the installers told me they could not install the new double oven. They left the new unit in our garage and told us to call and they or another CRST team would be back in a few days after the junction box relocation to finish up the installation.
I found an amazing electrician with CTM out of Woodland, WA to come and expedite the junction box relocation; they were able to do this on Dec. 4th. The next morning I called CRST/Lowes and they both said it would be Dec. 21st before they could come and install the new oven. Both Lowes and CRST were not able to change the install date. Since our junction box to our old oven was moved and the old oven was sitting in the middle of our kitchen floor (since we were told by the CRST installer it would only take a few days to come back) we now had no working oven since the junction box was relocated for the new oven, and a safety hazard with the old oven in the middle of our kitchen floor. Not to mention that the new oven was left in our garage and in the way there. We were without an oven from Dec, 4th to Dec. 13th, (9days).
We had company coming to celebrate an early Christmas on Dec. 14-15 with my granddaughter. Due to the safety hazard I desperately had many phone calls to Lowes and CRST; there was no way that they were going to install before Dec. 21st, not in time for our company. Due to the safety hazard, we ended up finding a local business to install the new oven and haul the old oven away on Dec. 13, right before our company came. Part of the promotion when we purchased the double ovens from Lowes was FREE installation; if we used their installer. Well, since all of the hick ups on Lowes 3rd party installer part, that did not happen. We now were stuck with paying the new installer and forgoing the free installation. Lowes was not sympathetic at all and when I called their Corporate installation employee, Danea, on 12/20/2024 she was SO rude; I would hope the corporate office listens to the recorded conversation so they can prevent her from being so rude to anyone else; very poor customer service; bad for Lowes.
From now on I think I will check with the local Manchester's Appliance store first. I almost told Lowes to come get the new oven since they could not install before Dec. 21st, since I had checked prices, Manchester's ended up being less then the sale price of Lowes. I decided to hold out and think Lowes/CRST would be able to come before our company would arrive.
I learned my lesson, to check with the mom and pop stores in town before going big box. Manchester's said they install within a few days of having the appliance on hand. Hope this is helpful to anyone who is looking for appliances; check Manchester's in Longview, WA before buying at Lowes, especially since Lowes only use CRST to do installations.

I did an in-store pick-up order. I meant to get parking lot pickup, and while I was trying to change it. A young man named Kelvin called me because he started to worry because I was taking a long time to get to the inside pickup window. The store detected my phone and knew I was there. It sent him a message to check on me.
This guy was really providing top-notch service like I have not seen in a long time. He had the cart loaded and pushed it out to my car for me, then loaded everything in the back of my jeep.

I've been in and out this store probably like 20 times these past few weeks to say the least, doing projects like French drain, gutters, electrical and a whole new roof.
The staff has been more than wonderful. Shantel even helped me get signed up for rewards, helped me save a bunch and got the right person who knew what materials to get for each specific job that I needed done.
Thank you again so much I appreciate the hard work your staff put In helping to accomplish my goals and save my house ❤️

I used to be a very loyal Lowes customer. Visited this one and found that now its all gone self-checkout. My incentive to pay more to have the luxury of a cashier is now gone. As much as it sucks I think Id rather put up with the way home depot treats their customers before I continue to self-checkout.

Horrible service have been there multiple times to buy dewalt tools they say are in stock and it’s always the same store oh well someone must have walked off with them. I always ask how as they are locked up and no one can answer me so I waste my time driving across town. I will never step foot in another Lowe’s again I will gladly take my business elsewhere

My only complaint is, and has been, when I go into a hardware store I kind of expect the employees to be more knowledgeable not less, and it's difficult to even explain what I need let alone get usable input.

Sophia in major appliances is very demeaning and talked to me like I was a child. Originally she was very helpful while helping me dispute a problem with Samsung that took me 1 1/2 months to resolve. She helped with the last few phone calls and gave me misinformation each time. When I asked her a question for clarification, she yelled at me. When I expressed that I am just done arguing and I was feeling defeated she proceeded to tell me that she was the one that did everything and she wasn’t sure why I would feel that way. After this conversation she was no longer helpful and was short and rude every time I called to ask about getting a new dryer. I will unfortunately not do business with Lowe’s in the future.

My dad went to Lowe’s in Longview and wanted 40 pavers. No one helped him! He’s 80 years old and not one store employee helped him load them all up! He carried them one by one until his back gave out. He was told sorry, everyone is busy. We used to go there all the time, but I’m going to stick with Home Depot. They’d never let an old man struggle with that

We went to the paint department of Lowe’s Longview Washington today. We were helped by an Employee named Tannika. She went out of Her way to help us with a color match that had no code. It turned out perfect. She was a perfect example of how people like to be treated when shopping.
Thank you Tannika.

Look!! The place needs more people - period!! Oft times, one cannot locate someone, and it's usually the person coming or going to break that one sees, and the conversation starts out:"I know this isn't your department BUT.." What is wrong with the phone system? Disconnected repeatedly? Why isn't this fixed?

We purchased a new washer. It went great with the lady that worked out the purchase with us. Unfortunately when we went up front to pay and pick up the washer the cashier had issues with ringing the % off the 1st employee said that my husband would get by applying for the "Lowe's " credit card. So when we get home and really get to check out our receipt booya... was a little bit less than we had been told by the time that we were home we were both beat from going store to store... Honestly Lowe's is a great store.. At least you can purchase the advertised appliance in the store and not have to either buy a cheap made washer because that's the only one that they have on the premises. It wait a week for the one you want and maybe it gets to the store.. Yes ... Lowe's is Great.

Went to return a box of trex blind fasteners (box said universal) when I did a trex installation. I discovered that these fasteners only fit slotted trex. I wished to get store credit and found out lowe's does not do store credit on some merchandise, and they sent me away to get a lowe's statement since I had no receipt. I returned the next day with the statement and was told at that time that the credit vendor will be handling my refund after I gave them back the merchandise. I canceled my credit card immediately.

So Lowe's needs another 1 star for their price matching policy's. We bought a new dishwasher, $599, 2 weeks ago. Lowes put that same dishwasher on sale for $549 but refuses to honor the $50 price match difference because it has been longer than 48 hours, and they only a match for 48 hours. Seriously Lowes, we will never purchase an appliance from you again.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
