Ordered a grill to be assembled and delivered. Date was changed for delivery. The second date was ok except for delivery time. I contacted store and was told they use a separate delivery company. Was not able to contact them by phone. If you offer delivery then it should be Lowe's delivering order.

I’ve never felt so disrespected in a store as I did at Lowe’s in Mount Vernon. While I was shopping for supplies for my projects, I noticed someone blatantly following me around. It was obvious they had some secret shopper or security shadowing me like I was a thief. It was extremely uncomfortable and honestly infuriating.
I was already frustrated trying to find what I needed, and having someone stalk me down every aisle completely ruined my focus. Instead of offering help, they chose to treat me like a criminal. Because of that, I put everything back and walked out. Lowe’s just lost a loyal customer for good.
I will never shop at Lowe’s again after this experience. I’ll be taking my money to local small businesses that actually appreciate their customers and don’t make them feel like garbage while shopping. Treating honest people this way is pathetic.

It's a box store like any other. Some people are helpful, some aren't. Sometimes things are in stock, sometimes they're not even when the app says they are. It's not really any different than any other store these days. This store really struggles with projects. I've done two projects with this store in the past three years and both went really poorly. The first was a fence a couple years ago. We agreed on a contract, I paid and was told I'd be contacted when materials arrived to setup install. After two months of waiting I called and found out the materials had been sitting at the store for a few weeks and apparently "they" forgot to call me. It took several calls to several departments to get it all sorted out. One department said materials had been delivered another said they were at the store. We just did a patio sliding door replacement and it went poorly as well. The door arrived at the store and I received a call to schedule delivery. I was to get a call the night before delivery giving me a delivery window. I was also supposed to get a call 30 mins before arrival to let me know they were on their way. I reviewed this multiple times when scheduling the delivery since I was planning on leaving work to meet the delivery team. I didn't get any call the night before. I got a call 15 mins before arrival, with no voicemail left, and a call when they were at my door. I told them I would be there in 20 mins and they told me their max wait time was 15 mins. They left and I called the project phone number to figure what was next since install was scheduled the next day. It took quite a while and multiple phone calls to try to figure anything out. Lowe's couldn't contact the delivery driver or figure out where the door or truck were. While trying to sort this out the installer called and asked if I had received the door and if not he could pick it up. I told him the delivery got screwed up and he said just to make sure it was the store the next morning and he would grab it. I called Lowe's and told them just to make sure the door was at the store in the morning and the installer would pick it up. They assured me it would be at the store ready for the installer the next morning. The installer called the next morning from the store to ask if I had the door because the store didn't have the door and showed it was out for delivery. The installer worked with the store and I called Lowe's project management. No one could figure out where the door was. The installer finally had to move on to the next job on his schedule that day, but was incredibly helpful. Lowe's called me back at the end of the day saying they thought the door was on a third party truck somewhere. I told them to hit the pause button on any further activity and just notify me when the door was physically back at the store. Lowe's contacted me a day later and said the door was at the store and when would I like to setup delivery. I told them there was no way I was letting them try to deliver the door again and the installer could just pick up on installation. I had to reschedule installation and earliest availability was five weeks later. A couple weeks before the second install, Lowe's contacted me to schedule delivery of the door. I told them again they were not delivering the door because the first time was a fiasco. The install went well and the installers did a great job and my wife said they were awesome. When I got home I noticed there was no screen door. When I called Lowe's they blamed the installer. Wow. This store can't handle projects. The installers on both projects were absolutely awesome. They actively tried to find solutions and overcome the hurdles Lowe's constantly threw in front of them.

So Mt. Vernon lowes does not give military discounts on appliances, lumber, and many other things in there store. I just ordered a dryer yesterday. It was supposed to be delivered today between 230 and 630pm. The only thing that was delivered was a power cord. And the delivery drivers rutted the heck out of my yard. So I called Lowes to let them know and they transfered me 3 times for a total of 27 minutes. Then they told me that I took it home with me yesterday. That would be impossible because there were none in stock. They basicly called me a liar on the phone and said that they need to do a higher level review. I still don't have my dryer. This will be the last time I do business with Lowe's. I wish I didn't have to leave this review but the manager and two others questioned my integrity.

Over the last couple of years I have seen this Lowe's deteriorate. Insufficient amount of employees, dirty store, unqualified employees/management.

First I will say everyone is quite friendly. You can tell the employees that know what they are doing because they are quite knowledgeable, but that does not happen often.

Yesterday I went in to buy 14, 2x10x10 treated lumber. After I found it I had to weave in and out of all the material and trash that was in the way. I had to load them by myself because I could not find anyone to help. In my time of loading them I heard 3 bells for assistance ring that seamed like they where never answered. Once I got my lumber loaded I again had to weave to the checkout line. As I was finished checking out and about to head out the door to the loading lane, management called for an afternoon meeting at the paint desk. This left no one there to help load the heavy lumber, again there was no one to help.

Over the last couple years this has become a more than common occurrence. I know Lowe's wants to go to more online ordering but I think they need to rethink that.

I typically find what I'm looking for every trip. Sometimes I find more than what I actually went for. The staff is usually helpful. As the years have passed, the knowledge of the staff has decreased. It used to be you couldn't go 5 minutes without someone asking if you needed help. Sometimes now it is difficult to find someone when you do need help, and too often they are not certain about the answers. This is why the 4 stars instead of 5. I would still highly recommend Lowes to anyone.

We opened a Lowe’s Rewards account this summer in order to purchase a Pella Door at a lower rate. Since then we’ve been contacted by their account company, Synchrony, numerous times to verify our identity by video face recognition and a copy of our drivers licenses . The process is time consuming and difficult to record properly. And apparently they do not maintain that information. We have been requested yet again to go through this process this week. We have spent numerous hours and phone conversations with very little explanation from them as to why they keep requesting this! To make the matter worse, they use a foreign help desk which often makes communication frustrating and difficult. We will be paying off our balance and closing our account with them. We have no problems with our other credit accounts that we maintain. The hassle is not worth the bother!

Horrible customer service, as we’re looking at a product on the shelfs and visibly needed help a worker completely ignored us until we had to ask twice!! Not only that as we’re checking out the lady who stands by the self checkout gave us a nasty attitude!!! We needed to remove some items and had a price check and the worker just looked like she didnt even wanted to be there. When we left I tried to say bye have a good day (I’m literally 5 feet away) and she completely ignored us too!! I had to say it twice and louder! Didn’t even look in our direction when we left. Horrible horrible customer service do better.

Had to order a saw cause they were out of stock then said what day would you like to pick it up and I’m like that’s not how shipping works but Tuesday I guess. Tuesdays here and I call and they have no idea when it’s showing up. Well Lowe’s just like everything else in America is on the collapse. Not to mention not a single worker there knows what the hell is going on. So no tool and no info. I mean shit I can track my post office mail these days. Lowe’s has better tools but I will be sticking to Menards and Home Depot from here on out. All prime corporations from the 2000’s are failing. Buy your headstone now and maybe they can put you up beside Sears and leave you with some dignity!!

Not going back to this Lowe's. Straight lies come out of your mouths. From online orders to in-store purchases.
I am not sure if your employees are not allowed to say "I don't know, let me find the correct answer". What I received was run around. Two separate employees telling something completely different to the same question.
The financial report says Lowe's is in trouble, has to be the human factor.

This is a review that is to thank Ashley at Lowes (Store#1765). I would definitely give Ashley a 10+star ( if I could) for all that she has done to help with purchasing a washer. Ashley is an extremely professional Lady. She is highly knowledgeable, deeply caring and dedicateds her time for her customers with no hesitation. She goes above and beyond!!! Because of Ashley I would never shop anywhere else for anything. Lowe's is extremely fortunate to have her as part of their team. Thank you Ashley for always making me feel so special! You are a great asset for Lowes and a amazing asset for your customers that you help with such care!

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY ONLINE FROM THIS STORE!!!! Lowe's uses a 3rd party to deliveries. If they steal, damage or lose your products, it will stay in "Out for Delivery" status indefinitely. Lowe's will not cancel the order or refund your money. I have been working for days to get a $266 order cancelled. The 3rd party delivery picked it up and Lowe's has no idea who, when or where it went. I have spoke to the store and customer care for hours on the phone and they are denying me cancellation and will NOT refund my money. They have told me I have to wait, wait some more and then wait 24 hours more. Customer Care will not resolve anything, it's all kicked back to the store. SO, avoid this store as they may steal and hold your money!
***Update on 6/14- I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. And a Lowe’s ‘Case Worker’ called me today to tell me they were going to look at it and get back with me, get this, IN A FEW MORE DAYS. I told them I do not want Lowe’s calling me anymore. He threatened me saying, “if I don’t take his call, he will close the case.”
***Update 6/17- received another called from Monte. He told me I have to drive to the store and pick up cash, even though the purchase was online and with a credit card. He said if I didn’t do it, I wouldn’t get my refund. This is clearly unreasonable. So, I’ve now had to file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General. Next step, file a small claims suit.

My aunt bought a toro lawn mower and the throttle cables melted it was good price. But we were trying to call you guys on the phone at customer service and were rude putting us on hold had no help what so ever we waited for 30 minutes and I got pictures of them being melted

I will not shop where I'm told I have to do your job at self check out. Do surveys see how many people feel the same as I feel. If you can pay someone to stand there and make sure no one is stealing them you can pay a damn cashier to check people out.

Bri back in appliances was very helpful with our choice of dehumidifier. JR volunteered to help me load 12 bags of sackcrete into my truck even though he had clocked out for the day. He saw me loading as he was walking to his car to leave for the day.
Both good people at a great Lowes in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. 6/15/2024, another great visit today. This time in the paint department.

I normally like Lowe's a lot but their paint machine is broken with no ETA on it so now I have to drive 40 miles to get this done.
Also, sometimes hard to find employees to ask questions. When I do find them, however, they're very nice.
Called to ask if they can mix paint at another store and get it delivered here. Nope. They'll just wait for a guy to come fix the thing. ‍♀️ Wonderful. So, basically their solution is go drive to another store miles away. Delightful.

It's always a good experience at this Lowe's! I don't care for checking myself out though. If a store makes you do self checkout, they should take a small percentage off your total price. We don't get paid to work there!

Great employees. Always kind and ready to help when you can actually find one. Not their fault tho. They have no cashiers that I have seen, for many months. Frequently their self checkouts do not work. They really make it hard to do business here. Meanwhile, the people stocking the shelves - and there are quite a few - know nothing, cannot help you, literally come from Missouri, and are paid to stay in a hotel. This deployment of resources is absolutely ludicrous and also deprives the local community of more jobs and better service. What are you people thinking? You suck. I’m going to Menards. please go out of business and make room for someone who actually cares about this marketplace.

I've always loved this store. However, I visited twice in a one week time period. And both times I asked, can someone help load this lumber into the cart... then to my truck. I stood waiting both times almost 20 minutes!!! As long as you're willing to manhandle all your lumber single handedly... I suggest Menards for the time being...
