Came in to get some lumber for a project. Needed a 4x4 cut in half. 8 foot wouldn't fit in my vehicle. Then was told by a worker that they can't cut anything thicker than 2 inches. Makes zero sense to me. So getting all my project lumber somewhere else.

Called store at what is suppose to be the less busiest time of the day to hear the telephone recording repeatedly for about 10 minutes. Then when I finally spoke with someone, and tried to get connected to the Appliance Dept, no one answered. After a while, the person who attempted to transfer the call asked if I wanted to leave a call back number. To which I replied, " All I need to know is when does the sale go off this week". She said she does not know. How do your employees not know the sale dates at your store? Telephone representative service is horrible.

I brought 20 bags of red mulch the lady at the register said we have plenty ok I'm waiting around 20mins for someone to come out so I could load finally the guy comes out and says all we have is black mulch and he radios the girl at the register and she says oh I forgot so I spent a total of 45mins for nothing and now have to wait 48hrs before they return my money

Bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher. 2023. My dishwasher pump went out. They offered an extended warranty. But....Whirlpool has a terrible extended warranty.
DOMESTIC GENERAL COMPANY.
That provider does not have anyone in the Martinsville area that honors their extended warranty. I have been trying to find a resolution for over a week. So I canceled and got a refund for the warranty. Took 10 days to find out this was a thing after purchasing the warranty.

The store is clean and well-maintained, and they usually have what I need in stock. However, I can’t give a full five-star rating because it’s often difficult to find help when needed. When I do find someone, they sometimes lack the knowledge to assist effectively.

I bought A Christmas ornament storage box on December 26. The storage container was too small and the item was returned four days later with the receipt. Store manager told me that the item needed to be returned prior to the holiday. I informed him and showed him the receipt that it was bought on the 26th. He said that “I cannot override the system”.

I contacted Lowe’s corporate customer service. They said that’s not true And that the local store manager has the ability to “override the system”. The store Manager chose not to go above and beyond to service a regular customer over a $14 item. Very poor customer service from the store manager.

Stores (brick & mortar) complain that people buy online (Amazon) instead of patronizing their businesses. Like in Lowe's case, it's a self-inflicted wound.
I go to Lowe's to buy hardware. But with each visit, there is less and less hardware and more non-hardware stuff like Carhart clothing. I don't go to Lowe's to buy clothes, I go to Lowe's to buy hardware.
Plus, they no longer staff cash registers but have only self-checkout.
They are really reaching up to touch bottom. Hardware store used to be the happy place for a lot of people. Not so anymore. Thanks for nothing Lowe's...

This location has to be the worst Lowes store that we've ever been to!!! Came in around 3 p.m and my husband wanted to purchase some Kobalt tools. Told the worker upfront and she called someone to assist us and after 30-40 minutes of waiting, we left. Came back and tried again and after waiting another 10 minutes we left and won't be back to this location!!!! The most horrible service we've ever experienced and there were workers standing and just talking. Management has no control over this location!!! We will not be back. Mayodan location is awesome. This location needs an entirely new crew to help customers!!!

The manager at this location should be removed. Couldn't even take the time to come talk to a customer but decided to be very condescending over a mistake his people made on a price of an item . After his associate asked him to come by and speak with me he still refused to get his lazy self out his office . This isn't the first time I've had issues with this location but I guarantee as a contractor it will be my last.

Purchased a hot water heater on Aug 3 2024, upon purchasing, asked the cashier, Jade, what was the return policy, she replied, if it doesn't work, bring it back to the store. Returned the next day due to a malfunctioning unit, the manager Joe, replied, that I'd have to call the 1-800 number.
I was very displeased, with the dishonesty of the staff. Don't know, if they're trained that way, or raised that way. Disseetful, dishonest, and fraudulent. As a consumer, I works too hard to play cat and mouse. Greatly appreciated if people learn to be honest! If you don't know, don't say you know.

Will be filing a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau about this.

Spent a few thousand in materials. Go to return some leftover material SIX days later. Incompetent staff messed up the return, and instead of returning the money back to my card, she gave my husband a gift card that only he could use with his ID. Even though I am the one who spent MY money, only he can use the gift card. When I go back in to ask for them to cancel the gift card and to either reimburse the original card or give me cash back, I'm told they can't do that and when asked to speak to the manager, I was told he wouldn't do anything. Was told to just call corporate to see if they could do something, but there was no guarantee they could. Being pissed is an understatement

Went to Lowe's a month ago and purchased flooring for my home, had good service and support. Went back yesterday to purchase more flooring and the guy had problems locating the flooring and left message for his manager to follow-up on it and call me today, no call, so I have called 3 times today no answer on flooring kept passing me off to someone else, so after work I went by the store, man in flooring was helping someone, ask me what I needed and I would have gladly waited when he finished helping the person he was with, but told me to go to customer service so I did and they couldn't help, so very disappointed on this trip, I actually got the feeling, they didn't care if they helped me or not guess I'll go on line and see if it can find it myself. Can't say much for customer service this trip, been a waste of my time.

No one to help. Have to find item yourself. Then have to use one of them self checkout machines to pay. Go in Home Depot and about every employee at least speaks to you and most offer to help you find items you came for. SORRY Lowes but Home Depot out shines you.

DO NOT! AND I REPEAT! DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCES from this store. YOU WILL GET NOTHING but SHEER AGGRAVATION! I purchased a washer/dryer in Oct. '22. AND a dishwwasher in March '24. They screwed up on the delivery TWO TIMES! Also I purchased a dryer in NC in Jan. 21. And they screwed up on that as well. DO YOURSELF a BIG FAVOR and BUY ELSEWHERE!!!! I'd NEVER recommend this store to ANYONE!

Those guys know that Lowe's can be our second home sometimes or at least we wish that it was LOL our lives here in Martinsville is always had great service and and shelves are always full with up-to-date items and as well as to order items wonderful flooring department and tool section very organized I can't forget the lawn and garden every time I go I always wind up coming back for some sort of plants or to do projects

Went to Lowe's to get a barrel for my roses that I got myself for mother's day only to find the garden center locked up as tight as a drum and no one has the key to the door except for one person. There was wind and rain and the lightening didn't even touch the ground it was cloudy to cloudy. There was no reason for the inside door to be closed and the lady at the desk didn't know if it would open back up. There were 6 people wanting to get in the garden center. I drove 25 miles to get a certain pot, it looks like a barrel is frost and freeze resistant. There are workers standing all around who should be trained to run the garden center. I could have gotten my barrel taken it back thru the store and paid for it. I'm sure I won't go to that store in Martinsville again. They said it was policy.

LOVE....LOVE THIS STORE...I HATE MALLS AND SHOPPING...I COULD SPEND ALL DAY IN THIS STORE...THE EMPLOYEES ARE EXTRAORDINARY!!! i have a super old HUGE house and saved $200.00 of of the VALSPAR MEMORIAL DAY SALE!! Thanks to CHRIS for hauling the paint to my truck-he is awesome and poor HAILEY CANNOY had to mix and carry all 6 of the 5 gallons --SHE IS THE BEST IN THE PAINT DEPARTMENT!!! YAY!! LOWES IS THE BEST FOR HELPING SENIORS. I'M GOING TO POST THE BEFORE AND AFTER I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT LOWE'S MARTINSVILLE VIRGINIA THEY ARE LIFESAVERS!!
