I want to thank Jerry a manager at the Christiansburg store on two major items I ordered online. Unfortunately they both came in damaged. Jerry is very understanding, professional and wasted no time in resolving my pickup and return back to the Lowe’s store. His quick actions and respect towards customers makes Lowe’s a truly great store with proven professionalism.

I had a great experience at my local Lowe’s store especially with the appliance specialist who helped me choose everything I needed for my new home. Unfortunately, the delivery experience was a complete nightmare, and it ruined what should have been a smooth transition into my new house.

Lowe’s used TOP DOLLARS TRUCKING LLC as their third-party delivery service, and I would strongly caution others about using them. They delivered my appliances the day after I closed on my brand-new home, and their handling of the delivery was careless and unacceptable.

They scratched up my walls and scuffed my baseboards while forcing the fridge into place.
While carrying the washer upstairs, they dropped it causing a pipe to burst and flooding my laundry room.
When I filed a damage claim, I waited weeks only to be told it was denied. They blamed Samsung for the burst pipe, completely deflecting responsibility.
This kind of finger-pointing is incredibly frustrating, especially when the damage clearly happened during delivery. TOP DOLLAR TRUCKING LLC showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability.
I highly recommend Lowe’s re-evaluate their partnership with this company. If you're considering a large appliance delivery from Lowe’s, make sure you know who is doing the delivery or be prepared to deal with unnecessary damage and stress.

After spending 3 hours in Lowe’s getting materials for a client project, over $5k spent in materials and all we asked for was an extra hand in loading all the materials. Waited for 30 minutes before my husband & I decided to do it all ourselves because we’re on a time schedule. No one ever shows up until we’re almost finished. 2 young boys pull up to get a few pieces of plywood and 2 employees basically trip over their on feet to help them out. Employee in the picture sees us and turns his back on us. Even though they had already finished loading their order, he could’ve helped us but I guess decided we wasn’t worth his time. Guess we’ll have to start taking our business to Home Depot from now on.

Thanks for making me feel bad for waiting to ask a question, not telling me something necessary for the product, and avoiding me by serving the next guy when you knew I was one aisle over bc I told you, so you wouldnt have to do one extra step to serve me. Slick, I guess, I walked out!

Today there was a family who had a dog in the store that was not a service dog,I complained to a couple employees about it and they seemed like they didn’t care about my complaint, I even asked if there was a store manager that I could talk to about it and they told me that they didn’t know where the store manager was,not very professional at all,if I could give them zero stars I would

Sabrina at the paint counter is extremely kind and helpful! She made sure we got the right type of paint for our deck.
This Lowe’s in general is well stocked and always has friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This Lowe's store always seems to be struggling with staffing when I go. For my most recent purchase, no one was available to unlock the items I was hoping to buy. After walking across two departments, I found a stocker who unlocked the item, but the promotional items were not in stock. This resulted in a 35-minute wait at the service desk, where only one person was working. It was only about 7:30 pm when I was there, and yet the entire time, I only saw a total of 4 employees.
This is not the first time I have had issues like this at the Christiansburg Lowe's store.

ATTENTION GARDNERS: Lowe's is selling single vegetable plants for $4.98. Crow's Nest off Price's Fork in Blacksburg has a 4-cell packet of a wide variety of vegetable seedlings for $2.99! Don't let these big box stores exploit you because they know tariffs have more people planting gardens. Do yourself and a locally owned business some good and buy your plants at Crow's Nest. You'll be glad you did.

The lady with long nails at the paint counter today saved my worthless life (or at the very least saved me from hours of extra work and probably 45 trips to the hardware store). Thanks to her this wobbly vanity I found on the side of the road no longer looks like it was painted by a teenage girl in her goth phase which is more than I ever dreamed I could accomplish today.

She was a great help, saved me some money, gave very practical advice for this kind of project and I really appreciate it.

Typical Lowes Hardware. Sure! Lowe's is a great place for home improvement needs. The store is well-organized, and they usually have a good selection of tools, hardware, and building materials. The prices are reasonable, and they often have sales that make projects more affordable.

The only reason for four stars instead of five is that finding staff for assistance can sometimes be hit or miss, especially in busier sections like lumber or plumbing. However, when you do find someone, they are usually helpful and knowledgeable.

Overall, it's a reliable store with a good selection, and I’ll definitely be back for future projects!

For less than $2k I was able to totally renovate my mother's bathroom and the staff will help you find anything you need. They'll even call other stores to hold things.

1) Customer service is usually pretty good! Friendly, helpful people

2) Women’s bathroom toilet seat all screwed up. Truly sorry people can’t seem to keep things nice in society, but also - you’re Lowe’s. Fix it ??

I wanted to leave a review regarding the wonderful customer service experience I had yesterday. I had my baby with me at Lowe’s looking for Christmas decor for my porch. I had my baby in her stroller because she didn’t want to be in the buggy and cried when I put her in it. Two male (I wish I knew their names) employees offered to help me find what I was looking for and went above and beyond to do so! They noticed I couldn’t push the cart and the stroller both so one of them took the time to push it around for me, help me at checkout, AND push it to my car. I felt so grateful for the help. They have no idea how much it truly meant to me and I hope they see this and get rewarded for their job well done!

I needed a new fridge, went to Lowes, and a very well-spoken person "helped" me. He had me sign up for a Lowes credit card, and talked about a 6 month option for paying off the charge without interest. Then he offered me a discount for no particular reason, I should have woken up then. Now it turns out that because I accepted the discount, I will be charged 30% APR on my purchase, and there will be no 6 month, no interest deal. This is simple deceit. SHAME on you, Lowe's credit card!

A Lowe's employee (Bertha) went above and beyond her duties to assist us in buying outdoor blinds today. She is a true asset to your company. Please express our sincere appreciation to this awesome young lady.

Went to buy paint and I rang the service button for someone to come mix my color. I waited for 30 minutes and no one came to help me and several employees just walked by and ignored me. I will be taking my business to Home Depot from now on.

Customer service is severely lacking in most departments. I've gone exclusively to Home Depot since I was a kid and worked there about a year ago.

But I've sadly got a Craftsman Lifetime Warranty on my toolbox, so I'm forced to come here.

The customer service that has been on shift while I was there for warranty work was okay. A tall lean black guy was very adamant to help me find an adapter I was looking for. Even went down with me to tools to look for it. Very talkative. I got the feeling he enjoys his job.

But majority of the time, I just have to look for it myself or give up and go somewhere else. The Them/They that's in hardware from time to time is very nice. Can't recall their name for the life of me.

Had what I needed, just the app needs to be a little clearer about fashion lighting and regular aisle numbers. All Lowe's have poor directions to find the items. Same bin numbers can be in multiple places. More specific directions needed to find the bin.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
