The store seems to always be busy. I am grateful for their veteran discount program and the veteran parking spaces. Returns are easy to process, but fortunately I've only had to do a couple in the past several years. You can usually find what you need.

Terrible Experience with Lowe’s Fence Installation and Customer Service

I’m extremely disappointed with Lowe’s fence installation service. After spending a significant amount of money, I encountered serious issues with the quality of the work. I reported the problems right away, but Lowe’s has been completely unhelpful.

Despite multiple calls and emails, they refused to send anyone out to inspect or fix the problem. Each time, I was either passed around or given empty promises that “someone would follow up” — no one ever did.

It’s unacceptable that a company of this size doesn’t stand behind their work or make any effort to resolve customer complaints. I expected better. I will never use Lowe’s for installation services again, and I suggest others think twice before trusting them with your home projects.

Purchased (15 days ago) a pressure washer and alot of accessories for it didn't get to try the pressure washer out until today because where i live we have had so much rain and thunderstorms I wasn't able to be on the jobsite . I filled it up with gas and oil started it up and it doesn't have any pressure. I called lowes about an exchange and they said they couldn't because it's past 48 hours . So I wont be shopping at Lowes anymore.

Lowe’s is normally very helpful. But only if you come in person. I tried calling them to reschedule a delivery. The phone rang at least 20 times before somebody picked up. Talk to me then put me back on hold then I heard people click in and put me back on hold and the phone rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and no answer. Do not try their phone customer service. It will not help you!

I needed some loose pieces of stainless steel hardware so I marked the codes, quantities, and (fortunately) the prices of the three different items on the bag. Since there are NO cashiers at Lowe's anymore I had to wait for a single associate to assist others with their checkout problems after I scanned all my items with barcodes.

The associate tried to enter the first code but got a "not recognized" message so he had to search for each type of item and then scroll down the long list to find the correct one. In some cases, the description was correct but the price was wrong so it had to be adjusted. Each of these transaction entries required him to scan his ID about three times so it took more than 5 minutes to enter the three items.

From now on, I will shop at Home Depot instead because they still had a cashier the last time I was there.

Purchased a washer and was told could pick it up at 6 a m and someone would help load it . Upon showing receipt waited about 20 no one came with washer loaded so went and loaded it myself. Then waited for another period of time was told had to sign paperwork but then was told your good to go no signature needed. Because of that delay was stuck at a railroad crossing for over a half and hour where no train came through so and early morning advantage seemed like a Disney commercial. Those awesome Lowes commercials where they show enthusiastic people ready to help you. Where were they. Oh that's write waiting for their next paycheck to do the next fake commercial.

Idk what happened to Lowes!!!??? The most unfriendly, un organized, un willing to help all around the WORST customer service! You wait FOREVER for anyone to take a call or to be waited on or helped. I now go to home depot! If there were something below 1 star, I'd put it.

They are absolutely terrible, nobody volunteers help, if you ask for help, they act like you placed a burden upon them, they are unprofessional to speak the least. I ordered online for a pickup, they brought me a half destroyed product, to which I took back inside and asked for new, the bin was full of unsalable product (busted up), took another 30 minutes to get a fork lift there so I could get good product. This store sucks and it has been terrible for at least 20 years, the only reason I go there is to get something I can't find anywhere else, it's a train wreck, the employees suck, the management sucks, be glad people need your products, cause the whole place sucks! I hate this place and so does the community, I thought Lowe's was committed to their customers, they're only committed to sales!

Jeremy in appliances is incredibly unprofessional!!! Took 40 mins on hold just for him to answer- had to have pro-desk ring him twice. Not only did he not even bother to answer and let me know he was with another customer but repeatedly hung up the phone with no communication. 40 minutes!!!! Unacceptable.

Most unhelpful employees I have ever seen. After trying to flag down 5 or 6 employees to help me buy a water softener, finally found one who told me “get a cart” and disappeared, an elderly customer attempted to help me but I ended up leaving over $1000 worth of items lying there and will not be back to this location.

Worst Lowes I've ever shopped at. Poorly managed, under staffed, disorganized, and absolutely filthy. The GM should be fired.

It's a Saturday in Spring. The store is buzzing with shoppers. One cashier working the Pro Desk. One cashier working the self checkout. Lines backed up 10+ deep at both.

Why bother having a dozen+ registers, when no one is ever working them?

Left my cart and went to HD. Equally busy, but efficiently operating. In and out in 10 minutes.

I went to the Lowe's in Harrisonburg VA on Sunday, needing a piece of OSB for my dogs kennels. I found TYREE! He was very helpful in getting me exactly what I needed. He and Julius (training) measured & cut the board perfectly!! I am very grateful for Lowe's having guys like them for our customer service! Great experience.
Thanks to them both!!

We brought a refrigerator at Lowe's in Harrisonburg and could not ask for better service. Tyler Wolke was wonderful. He made the process quick and answer all our questions. We had it delivered which only took 1 days and the delivery guy Flores Aguilar was very careful and polite. Very satisfied with everything.

I continue to be impressed with Ben and Jake in Paint area. We had a big order for paint for Suarez Painting and they were very helpful and worked great as a team! They are knowledgeable and very willing to help find what you need.

Yesterday I went to Lowe's to purchase appliances. I worked with Jeremy in the appliance center and he was fantastic! Hard to believe he has been with Lowe's for a mere five months. His knowledge about products, genuine interest in helping customers is impressive. After completing my appliance purchase, I was roaming an isle, bumped into him and he asked if I was looking for something particular and directed me to the proper location.
I often skip Lowe's because it's a tad out of my way. Never again. Their service is exceptional, on all fronts! Thank you!

Terrible customer service. Drove 1 hour from Waynesboro store to Harrisonburg to pickup insulation. Realized when we got there it was a $50 price difference and we were buying 10 bags. 2 different employees denied price matching it even though it is the same exact product, just at a different store. A price difference of $72 up to $125 is big when you need 10 bags. The manager never came up to the front to even discuss this with us. Just kept denying to price match because they can’t price match “different locations”. We thought Lowe’s is Lowe’s. We would understand a small price difference but that’s insane. They will definitely be hearing from us again for further help with this matter.

Always have good luck at Lowe's Harrisonburg. They seem to have a good pulse on the product selection for this area, so I nearly always find what I need. I also like that the app, while not perfect, will often lead us to the item we want, or at least get us close.

The employees are always impressive, which also means credit is due, to the hiring and training teams. I worked a lot of years managing retail, and there's an art to ensuring customers you care, and are there to assist, without seeming pushy. This location's employees seem to hit the mark every single time. If I'm just walking around, clearly browsing, I seldom am approached, as it should be. But, when I (or my wife) stop at an area, and are closely inspecting items, an employee often then approaches and offers assistance.

When we do have questions, employees seem knowledgeable an personable. If we tell them we're just looking, they do not continue to pry, but are more than willing to assist, should a question come up later. The few times we've needed to exchange an item, this was handled quickly and efficiently as well.

Because of the combination of selection and service, we nearly always choose this Lowe's for our DIY needs.

An ill fated snowblower purchase. When you order a new snowblower and choose free assembly what could go wrong? In my case they assembled it with parts missing, refused to provide the parts, refused a return, and refused a credit. Same story with their online customer service people.

I’ll give them credit - they seem to have cobbled together parts from some other model to make it look good enough to me at pickup but when you try to use it- then comes reality - you can toss some snow- but only right in front of what you’re trying to clear.

Don’t buy anything here and have it assembled, and beware returns as they do not stand behind their sales even when they clearly did not deliver what I ordered.

Went in Friday night 12-27-2024 at 6pm .. I purchased a dishwasher GE Model GDP670SYVFS. Item # 5474575 .. spoke to a young Latino man for the transaction. Was nice but had very little product knowledge of any kind. My wife and I made purchase and the young man told us the soonest he could have delivery and installation would be today 12-29-2024. We agreed. Now today comes and we are being informed by Lowe’s staff that we have to schedule our own installation. What did I pay ( 250.00 ) and schedule for if I have to do it myself. Had the staff advised us we would have to do it ourselves we would have done things differently. Called Lowe’s to try and sort this out but just keep being put on hold and the lady in appliances isn’t very helpful and will not get me to a manager to speak with. Still waiting on management to call back. Communication is very poor at this location. I have recently purchased a stove and hot water heater from Lowe’s and never had to schedule my own installation and delivery. Will not purchase anything from this location again. Never had this issue with the Woodstock store …

1-3-2024. No response from a manager yet ….

It's Lowe's, we all know what Lowe's is.
The 1 star is for how incompetent and rude the staff is. Would definitely recommend going to Home Depot unless you've exhausted all options.

Every morning you have to wait over 20-30minutes to get through a line and when the aisle is blocked you loose more time. To get a refund you have to speak to 5 managers before you get any help, the Spanish speaking lady checking out on the pro side is horrible and slow. I spent more time getting materials and getting a refund than at the actual job site. I went to Home Depot and I was in and out in less than 15min. Don’t recommend Harrisonburg Lowe’s.

Me and my hubby were shopping for the tile and little built in shelves and such to finish our upstairs shower. We both had some questions and I believe the gentleman that helped us was Jared Basye. He was really great! He answered all our questions and helped us find the products we needed. 10/10 service!

We like Lowes because the employees are always glad to assist with finding items or helping to decide what might be the best item for our needs. The men I in paint are especially helpful. Jake was the only one in paint today, and he was amazing! I know some folks were upset about the longer wait, but I watched him running around. Big kudos to him. Always friendly and helpful.

Customer service is very poor at this Lowes location as well. Unable to find someone to help you, and when you do they tell you to just buy the item online. I was at this location and was looking for a push mower spark plug. Online inventory showed many were in stock, but none were on the shelves. Asked for help as an employee was walking by, and they didn't offer to help. I got the great response of, "If its not on the shelf we don't have it". I then informed them that online the item showed in stock in store, and I asked if the item was located in the back, and just hadn't been placed on the shelf. I was then informed to just buy the spark plug online then. Traveled quite the distance, to find a spark plug for this particular mower, and I left the store frustrated and with nothing. I ended up going to Auto Zone who had employees there that wanted to help, and was able to help. Next time I need a spark plug I will just go there.

I recently did an online order Sunday which offered "same day delivery", on Wednesday I still hadn't received my order. Their reasoning was they had a 3rd party contracted for deliveries and they had no way of contacting this person to find out why there was a delay. If you do online ordering and want it delivered be cautious. I ended up cancelling my order and went to Home Depot

2. How long does roof replacement take?

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
