I got a brush guard, level kit, and side flanges on my Toyota Tundra. DoeDee did great work from start to finish. He got me the best deal for my money and made knowledgeable recommendations. They went above and beyond and even got some scratched off the side and installed a tag on the front bumper for me. I can tell this is a business who's priority is people and not only money.

Super super super helpful folks. Roadside emergency on I-81 ended here, five hours from home. Family could not have treated us better. Expert advice, professional work, and just a really good feeling about what might have been a terrible experience. I cannot rate Deodo and his staff high enough. Truck Outfitters of Tri Cities represents their industry and their area VERY well. And we had a car, not a truck!

They put a class 3 Hitch on my Jeep, nice heavy duty hitch. They also put in oversized bolts, to make it stronger...and works as it's supposed to. However, they forgot to replace a very large grommet that the wiring goes through, to keep fumes from entering inside the vehicle. No biggie, I repaired that issue with minimal effort. I still recommend them to do any specialty job on any and all my equipment.
Update: went back to get Jeep parts replaced that was defective, they replaced and exchanged part because it was still under warranty, however, they still done the same thing with the grommet and put it in upside down this time. Now fumes from the exhaust comes right into the vehicle and this is a $38,000 car. I can pull the back pocket out of my vehicle where The grommet is and and see the exhaust pipe and smell the fumes coming into this vehicle. This vehicle has never been worked on in any way shape form or fashion and was in perfect shape.

I bought a camper shell from these guys. I drove quite a ways for the deal they offered and was not disappointed. The shell was excellent and for a great price. The very clear, detailed description in the ad for the shell helped make sure it fit my truck perfectly. They couldn’t have been friendlier or more professional. Helped install the shell and got me on my way in no time.

It has taken me a while to finally give a review. I will state my experience and let you decide. First, I would give them 5 stars for upfront sales up front customer service. They worked me in quickly I thought the price was reasonable. For that this is not a one star review. After getting my vehicle back I started getting a service code on my dash. I looked it up and asked several mechanics on a couple forums and they all said if I just had front suspension work, have them check to make sure certain bolts and nuts were tight. I called this company and explained the problem and what the mechanics on the forums recommended. I spoke with the usual front desk personnel. I was met with direct push back. The person I spoke with told me there was nothing that could be wrong with their work. He said he understood how I could think that it was something caused by the work that they had just completed, but it was not. He then told me I needed to take it to a service provider who would assess the service code and fix the problem. It was clear they would not back their work, not even to at the minimal make sure a couple nuts and bolts were tight. I scheduled my truck with a service provider. Long story short there were multiple loose bolts / nuts. It almost damaged one of the tie rod ends that this company had replaced with the amount of play due to the loose parts. The loose parts were attached to the drag link / bar that this company replaced. Yes, had it come loose I could have been in an accident. The other nut /bolt that was loose did cause damage to a part that they had replaced. My bill to fix was over $700. Did I bring it back to this company's attention? No. They made it clear it wasn't their problem. So they may have made a sale, but they lost a customer.

I waited for several weeks before posting this review in the hopes that something might change..

I was referred to Truck Outfitters by a friend of mine, as I was trying to sell a Jeep. I drove the vehicle to their shop, spoke with them, and we came to terms on a price that was more than fair for them. I took less money in the hopes that this would show a good faith gesture for future business, which was 100% my mistake. I then spoke with Doedee (not sure about the spelling) about the possibility of them replacing a door switch on my vehicle. He said that they would do it and that the part would be ordered within the next 2-3 days from a local dealership in Abingdon. I had high hopes that I would work with these folks to get my door fixed before I got a quote about getting a lift or a leveling kit installed on my vehicle. So, the wait began. I called and checked in with them twice and was told that the part had not arrived. I finally called the local dealership myself and was informed that the part had never been ordered. I was then told that they could order the part and have it for me the next day.

No one from Truck Outfitters has ever reached out to me about the part. This happened around the first half of June.

They either lied or they have very poor communication within their ranks. I am glad that others have had good results from them because I will never give them my business or refer anyone to them for work.

I seen the shop while out messing around and stopped in to look. They were very nice and extremely helpful in my purchase of window shades. Also installed them quickly at no charge. Will definitely give them more business in the future.

Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
