I will say the product they sell is great, it's the execution that is deplorable.
Here's my account of what happened to us...
On June 11, 2024, two young men came to our home to sell us the tile. We told them we needed it completed by August 22.
We waited 20 days, no call. I called the project manager. He apologized and said he would check and get back to me that afternoon. He never called back. I called him the next morning and he said he wanted to come out and see the roof himself. Said he would be here at 11am. He said not to worry, I will put my best crew on it. I told him I need at least 1 English speaking person here at all times. He assured me there would be and he would be here. That was July 9th.
The order didn't get placed until the next week, making our installation date, August the 7th. He told me not to sign any paperwork until the job is done.
The project manager said he would come by August the 6th to show us the tile. They showed up on August 7th at 7am.
The issue was the tile. He claims he ordered the "Santa Fe" tile, but the tile he brought looked nothing like the photo. He said, they showed you photos? They weren't suppose to show you photos, they should have had the actual tiles. I took the tile back to my spouse and said this is not what we ordered, what do you want to do?
Our time frame was to be done by August 22nd. The project manager said it would take another 10 days to get the tile sent to us, if it actually arrived on time, so we agreed to take the tile, but not happy about it at all.
The project manager said he would be there most of the day. I saw him all of 20 minutes. And the manager of the company was there half the day. leaving only one who spoke English.
Frustrated and angry, I typed a negative review. I no sooner placed that review than the project manager was at my door. I have never seen such urgency. He brought 6 tiles, all in red tones, which were not what we thought we were getting. Realizing the job was not complete, I took down the review.
He told me that he would be by tomorrow so they could complete the job.
On day 2 of the installation, only Jorge was here. Halfway through the 2nd day, he came down and asked me to sign off on the job, that he had to leave and there was no one else who spoke English here. I told him what the project manager told me and refused to sign.
At the end of the job, they asked me to sign off on the job. I did, but I notated that I was signing under duress as I did not know for sure if the job was complete.
I called the project manager and he said he would be by Wednesday the 14th to install that piece and paint the object that needed painting. I said Ok.
Wednesday rolls around and I am not saying a thing before 5pm as I want to give the project manager a chance to be good at his word. No surprise, no call, no show.
I got a call saying he would be there Friday to finish up. I said Ok, please see that you do. He did. But as he left, he told my spouse, I hope he will write a good review.
I told my spouse, I cannot in good conscience write a good review.
Three days later, I notice I received a response from Erie Home stating they would like me to call them
I did call them. The man I spoke with asked me to tell him what happened and I did. He said he would forward everything I relayed to him to the Regional Managers and the Project Manager. He said the Regional Managers would be in contact with me after September 17th, my first full day home from vacation to discuss options. I am assuming they may be contacting me this coming week, being thoughtful in giving me time to adjust from vacation.
Trust me, I will keep you posted. In the meantime, take the first paragraph of this review to heart.
I had to edit my review because it was too lengthy.
