Erie Home - Norfolk, VA

This company installed my roof, I hired Erie roofing over a month ago, the delivery truck left a huge dent in my brick laid driveway! They have said it's not their problem and I needed to take it up with the delivery company! I did not hire the delivery company! I can't even get anybody to call me back! This is not how a veteran of this country or anyone for that matter should be treated!

I had my roof replaced with the fiberglass 30 year warranty (saved 469 a year my home insurance) quickly scheduled after I approved the work. The workers came the day before to check out the job and were very professional while working cleaned up any debris. And the next day 2 people came to do a walk around. I definitely recommend this company!

While I was gone my wife received a salesman from Erie at our door and they came back for an appointment three days later.

They arrived and I figure they would be here about 30 minutes to measure and quote. Long story short, an hour and a half into them being at our house I told them I would make no decisions that day so I could research their product, their competitor’s product, and evaluate if we wished to stay.

THEY WOULDN’T LEAVE AND STAYED 4 HOURS!

My wife and I literally packed up their stuff while they were prying for our financial information despite me saying I would pay cash!!!

They stayed for an HOUR after we packed their stuff and proceeded to do house work and tend to our toddler who had been upset for the last 2 hours because we couldn’t take her out to play.

Their financial numbers on the cost for a local contractor were over double quotes I had already received while they tried to tell me these guys weren’t professionals and informed me of one of their installs that they installed the entire roof upside down.

Unless you want to be ripped off spending $3000/100 Sq. ft for roofing for your house, avoid these guys AT ALL COSTS!!!

Great job and all in one day; they arrived on time, clean service and installation of the roof. I highly recommend this very professional group of roof builders Erie Home!

Workers were polite . They did their job in a timely manner. My roof is gorgeous. Everyone kept me informed about what was happening.

I contacted Erie roofing because I needed an estimate, my roof had been leaking for awhile and I didnt know. The two representatives ( sales people) were really friendly and social . Erie seems to have a good product that is going to protect my home for another 20-30-50 years .

The install crew also did a good job. I was impressed that the Forman ( guy in charge ) spoke both English and Spanish , he watched the crew and asked them questions if needed. My house is 70+ years old so the roof material is 1x5 not ply wood . A good portion needed to be replaced . I’m grateful and impressed with the attention to detail. With the repairs and with the clean up . I’m confident that Erie roof will protect my vintage beach mom for years to come .

R.J. was very savvy with his presentation and the product sold itself but there is a lot to it. He was polite and engaging, did a good job.

Sales rep was courteous and not pushy. The installment team was on time and did a very efficient job. It took a couple of hours on a second day to finish the task but they again arrived on time. They cleaned up after themselves on each day and did a good job each time. If the materials hold up as well as advertised it will well worth the money. I would have given them 5 stars but I am not as pleased with the bank they use for financing their roofs. Definitely not customer friendly.

I have been watching Erie Roofing Company for about 10 years, looking at reviews, and finished homes. When it finally came time to get a new roof, I called them up to come out and give me their sales pitch. Their products literally sell themselves. RJ was the sales rep who came out to do a complete attic inspection, take pictures of damaged areas, and then let us know what he found. He gave us a very thorough review, and after showing us all of the options signed us up for a fiberglass reinforced roof. The next week, I received a call for installation, and Chris set us up for a Friday installation. The team showed up between 07:30 and 08:30 am and began taking off the old roof. They had the old roof cleared off and were replacing bad sections of plywood by 09:45. They also replaced the roof on my shed, which I asked for from RJ. They finished the job a little after 5:00 pm and had the yard and roof areas cleaned up except for a few nails here and there that I found over the next few days. 3400 square feet of roofing done in one day to include replacing almost 5 -4' x 8' sheets of plywood on the roof of my home. 30-year warranty, company with excellent rating on the BBB, and another happy customer! RJ was great! Very nice and patient! Even let our dog drool all over him! He was very knowledgable about all products and covered all options with us. He gave a great presentation ans answered all of our questions.

RJ was top of the line as far as I’m concerned. I would have thought he ran the company. He knew everything there was to know about the difference in all the products. He explained everything very thoroughly, answered all the questions very precisely. He was very patient. I asked a lot of questions about everything. He was very professional. Very courteous, honest and sincere. We really, really liked him. We just had some final decisions to make about which way we wanted to make the final purchase.

My house looks great with my new Erie Home roof. All the workers were friendly and curious. They spread tarps all over to catch all the old roofing debris. If you need new shingles for your roof I highly recommend Erie. My house is 80 years old and they replaced some of the damaged wood. They actually cleaned out my gutters too. The clean up was exceptional. Needless to say my wife and I are well please with their work.

My new roof is excellent! The installers were courteous, professional, and neat. They cleaned up all of the old shingles and nails, etc. The install went very quick because of having an adequate size crew with good experience. The salesman was personable and informative, all my questions were answered and there were no surprises on the install day.

Update:
We had our insurance company look at our roof after it was completed by Erie home and were told that we were severely overcharged. We had only half our roof completed and although it was done in a very timely manner I am now left feeling taken advantage of. We were told that our roof was considered an emergency repair and our insurance inspector said that was also not the case. The size of our roof was also incorrect as we were told that we had a larger than normal roof; our inspector stated that our roof is pretty standard. Now weeks after the installation we are receiving mail from our loan company saying that we are to start paying in November instead of January when we were initially told our bills would start. On top of that, there’s interest added since the date of installation. For a company that claims to care for their customers it seems to clearly be the opposite. All you care about is money. I really wanted to love this company and did until I was shown that they clearly took advantage of my family.

Highly recommend Erie Home for any of your roofing needs! We had our roof looked at on Wednesday and it was replaced by Saturday. The sales rep was very helpful in helping us make our decision on what to do and the installers were great. Very pleased with the look of our new roof!

The responsible and courteous roofing technicians from Erie were a pleasure to work with more often than not having contractors on and around your property can be a Tedious nightmare this was not the case with Erie. They showed up. They accomplished everything that they were supposed to flawlessly installed. My new roof, cleaned up and cleared out, leaving no signs that they had been present. Very pleased very thankful and would highly recommend for your next roofing installation

Great product and the Team that was here did an awesome job in one day. After it was done they went around the area with magnetic rollers to make certain no nails were left behind and no leftover trash. Consider using Erie if you're roof needs replaced.

Erie was a great team to work with! They were in contact promptly from the quote stage to completion of our new roof! And our end result is beautiful and we couldn’t be any happier! They completed all tasks as advertised and did the job very quickly! Granted, we have a smaller house, but the crew was finished within about 11 hours! I cannot give an accurate rating on the service for putting up a roof. I can say that the gentleman from the Norfolk office came on time to do our estimate. He was a very good sales person. He was extremely thorough at looking on top of the roof and in the attic. He showed us the previous patchwork and what wood panels were weathered and needed replacing. He was friendly and extremely passionate about his company's work. We were given a rough estimate while he waited for the offices quote. When we were given the price we knew it was out of budget and did tell him we don't think we can go with them. He got the quote and it was very out of budget and higher than the 3 other roofers we had spoken to. I feel bad that he wasted his time with us. Their product and service does seem to be top tier. I just can't pay 24k on a roof right now or have a monthly $300 payment. Maybe in the future. I applaud him for his passionate sales pitch and confidence. I feel bad I was a bit abrasive at the end and needed him to go because it was not within our means for this time and I needed to get dinner taken care of for my 2 year old.

Very professional competent and I love the Atlantic Blue color with the multicolor bricks on my house.
They did it in a day and even but skylights on a dreary room complementary so I an enjoying my new 50 + year old house . They cleaned up very well afterward . Very happy with the work and would recommend erie roof

Sales rep was very through on explaining the metal and asphalt options. Worked with me on the dates to do the job as I travel for work and have tight windows to be home. When the team arrived for the job they were very professional and cleared were their equipment will be placed. The roof was completed in the time provided. The project lead was very attentive of any of my concerns as I was on travel when it finished as was viewing it through pictures. They even delayed signing the final documents to fit into my schedule to be available at home. Once home the roof looks great and people are amazed its metal. This was a phenomenal service.

The work to remove an old roof and replace it with new shingles, was scheduled for two days. However, the roofing team did an exceptional job, and completed the work in one day. Overall, a well deserved 5 star rating!

2 days, roof and gutter system. Removal and install. Roof has a roof vent cap and they moved my existing vent fan to the best position for heat removal. I've already noticed a difference in the middle of the day with cool my upstairs. It's 20degs cooler and the AC is running none stop.

We had such an easy experience with Erie Home Roofing, from the purchasing terms, shingle selections down to the installation, it was simply a breeze. We are so happy we chose to go with a company that is friendly, easy to work with and has the best warranty available for roofs in the country!

I was very pleased with the work performed. It gave my house a good face lift. And very pleased with the cleanliness after, they made sure they were thorough in picking up all the small debris.

Outstanding service and quality work. Tony, the Sales Rep was knowledgeable and worked to make the financing process seamless. The install crew showed up 30 minutes early to knock out the prep work then they finished the removal and install in 1 day!

Overall very pleased with the experience. We weren't anticipating getting a new roof, however a gentleman stopped by as they were doing work in the area. We typically don't talk to door to door people, however the guy that came but was very cool and pleasant and he offered a free inspection of the roof. Since it was free we went ahead and scheduled it. The team that inspected the roof are also the sales team, and they were great. Due to their estimating software taking quite a long time to come back, they were at our house for around 2 hours. I genuinely felt bad for them as the appointment was at 7 and they were stuck there until about 9 PM. They were professional and knowledgeable about all of the roofing procedures from manufacturing to installation, and we decided to go ahead with the new roof, as per their inspection, ours was on it's last legs. The installation was surprisingly fast. They started around 7 AM and we're done by 2:30 PM. The roof came out perfect. It looks amazing, and the crew did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. The only minor drawback to the whole process is that the warranty paperwork wasn't available the day of installation as another team member had it, and they never dropped it off. Not a huge deal as they are emailing everything to us. All in all the experience was good, and installation was quick. The warranty is a big part of why we chose Erie, so while we hopefully never need to use it, I'm hoping they stand behind the roof as much as they claim, should any issues arise.

Had a fella come to my door this evening at almost 8pm. We usually do not answer to solicitors but we had children playing in the room and saw through our ring camera and didn't want the gentleman wasting his time in the heat. I did not like how he tucked himself into the door instead of standing back by the steps. He did hop back when he heard the door unlatch. We told him we were not interested in any servicesand to have a good evening and he seemed to have an attitude and told us we didn't even know what he wanted and we repeated that we we uninterested in any services right now. He mentioned something about the roof being damaged and we wished him a good evening and closed the door and watched him spit at our steps. If we were interested in roofing repairs we would seek it out. Google is a wonderful thing after all. Hopefully this gentleman gets some coaching on respectful behaviors at potential customers homes as this dosnt leave a good first impression for homeowners.

I was pleased with the way they came in and removed our roof and that they put down drop cloths to catch everything. They also did a great job cleaning up after they were finished the job. Everyone was very polite and respectful.The foreman was able to answer all our questions and seemed to be a funny guy. The roof looked great.

Antonio did a thorough job inspecting my roof and showing me where the leaks were in my attic. He did a fantastic job educating me on Erie's roofing systems and other products out there. My roof was installed with in a week and a half, they only took half a day. The roofers also did a great job cleaning up the yard and making sure nothing was left behind. Everyone that I interacted with went above and beyond what was expected of them. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Erie Homes did a fantastic job educating us about our warned out roof. They helped us understand and were able to show us the water damage we were sustaining during every rain storm. Making the decision to invest in the Erie products was a no-brainer!

Erie co. Did an excellent job with a very challenging roof/house configuration. Lots of tall trees surrounding the roof and a deck awning. They completely removed the old roof, replaced bad sheathing and installed a high quality water and weather proof under layment and high quality fiberglass shingles. This was all completed in two days with a very large hard working team

Erie Home installed a new roof to our residence that raised the bar in the neighborhood. Installers were professional and well trained at their skill. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality roof. Make sure they roll a magnetic sweeper through the work area when complete. There may be some loose nails in the grass that may not have been seen.

We were in need of a new roof. Seen the Erie sale rep. on Friday before Holiday. They got the roof completed on Wednesday. They were very professional and roof looks great. Repaired the damaged wood and painted vents to match.
