The staff at Home Depot is very helpful and friendly. The store has competetive pricing, it's well stocked, and the aisles are well marked, making it easy to find what you are looking for.

We were in need of a new fridge mid June
Short on time, we phoned the Bellingham Home Depot Appliance Department and spoke with Sam Catracchia.
Sam gave us the Very Best customer service that could be imagined.
We purchased the appliance sight unseen, he handled the purchase over the phone brilliantly, even with computer glitches & tec issues. Arranged for the delivery and disposal of the old unit.
Highly recomend this efficient and personable fellow.
Home Depot could not wish for a better representative.
Thank you Sam

Carpet review- My husband and I purchased carpet from the Bellingham Home Depot. They have a policy of having you pay up front which is a bad policy, because they subcontract with a business out of Oregon called Romanoff. Romanoff apparently has scheduling problems and does not honor appointments. My experience was they cancelled my appointment the day before my installation and could not come out until the following week. Well, I work from home and this really inconvenienced me. Having paid up front I had no recourse but to wait and be displaced from my home work office for a week. This was very challenging and inconvenient. Calling Home Depot for assistance is a waste of time because they already had my full payment and passed the buck to their subcontractor Romanoff who was useless as well. They offered nothing to accommodate me for my inconvenience. I won’t spend my money here again on carpet installation and would not recommend Home Depot/Romanoff for carpet installation.

Seems like it’d always hard to get the help you need, but today especially. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come cut wood & no one ever showed up. The associate that called for someone to help was unbothered & replied “hopefully someone will come” and left it at that instead of seeing it through that we got some assistance. Wound up leaving my entire cart & went to Lowe’s instead of spending money where they don’t give a damn

Matt G helped me. He was very friendly, initially a different employee was trying to help in plumbing... Matt took initiative and came to help as it didn't seem that the other guy knew what I was looking for. His customer service was amazing and worked with my shenanigans, glad to see there are still a few out there. Thanks Matt!!!

Tonight, around 8 pm, Adam and Sarah went out of their way and personally checked out 107 pavers and made sure every one of them were perfect. Thanks, my wife really appreciated that.

Bellingham Home Depot is awful!!! The store manager is argumentative and has no customer service skills. I purchased bagged bark and then it went on sale. I went in to get the sale price for my order and the manager said to due so I would need to go home, scoop up all the bark I already spread, put it back in the bags and then bring it in and he would then credit me back the for the discounted price. I laughed and he said, no I'm serious... LOL you just lost my future business, Home Depot!!!!!!

Judy Ebenal really helped us a lot. She went out of her way even after we left the store to find us some roller shades for our custom window. Not only did she find exactly what we were looking for, but she saved us a lot of money too by looking at the shades that were on sale. The quote we got at another business was 4 times more the cost. Thank you Judy!

Store is very clean & organized. Friendly & helpful staff. I had to ask for help finding a patio screen door & an employee from a different department lead me directly where I needed to look. Another employee gave me advice on which screen would be best for my needs. Check out was super easy & the staff was great

Una experiencia de compra excepcional

Me gustaría compartir mi experiencia reciente en The Home Depot. La tienda ofrece una amplia variedad de productos para mejorar el hogar y el jardín, desde materiales de construcción hasta herramientas. Los precios son competitivos y la calidad de los productos es excelente.

Dehlores was super helpful in the garden center there. She let me know which plants were best for my patio as it is partially shady. I appreciated she took around 20 minutes out of her day just for my situation, and they don’t get tipped there. A good review was the least I could do. Thanks!

Make sure you talk to someone in the actual department. Customer service doesn't know anything. I called ahead to see of they could cut trim board for me since I had my car, not my truck, and she said yes. Go out of my way to get there, finally find someone to help, and he tells me the saw is down. Just lazy people.

I had a wonderful experience at the Home Depot in Bellingham last night. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces and a warm atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I found everything I needed. I was particularly impressed by how helpful the employees were. I highly recommend stopping by this Home Depot. The Friday night team truly exemplifies excellent customer service!!!!

Edit: just went to Lowe’s after going to Home Depot and had an amazing experience with the man working in the doors department. They are always so helpful. Not planning on ever coming back to this Home Depot as this was the last straw for us.

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I both have had very bad (or just subpar) experiences here every single time we come. We have come here literally hundreds of times (unfortunately) and spent thousands of dollars here. Nobody will offer help, they will literally watch as you struggle with something and then walk away. I’m sure it is a management issue, but I have truly never had so many poor customer service experiences in a row ever.

The most recent bad experience was with who I believe is the manager of the door sales department. My boyfriend has now had 2-3 experiences with an older guy who sits at the desk in the door department. Both times he gave zero insight and was negative, not even looking up from his desk (I watched the interaction). My boyfriend politely thanked him and honestly his whole demeanor and attitude was just insufferable. I don’t typically review businesses this negatively because I know people have bad days but when our experiences are this bad almost every single time (and twice with this individual now), I am going to review them. Even though I have bad days at my very stressful job, I am still kind and helpful to people. I expect the same of others.

I always chose Home Depot over Lowe’s. Staff is always so much more professional and knowledgeable. But I’m getting very uncomfortable shopping in this store due to safety concerns. Big dogs in narrow aisles. This rainy weekend there was a man walking his GS in the store. He wasn’t shopping, he was just walking his huge pet. Does Home Depot value his costumers safety and comfort to shop? Doesn’t seem like it. Didn’t Home Depot already experience dog attack where a person’s face was bit? Are you waiting to loose some of your customers and face a law suit? How about people who are afraid of dogs? How about people who have allergies? Why would you want employees to pick up dog shit and wipe piss? And what kind of a person brings his pet to be walked in the store?

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike from the electrical department at Home Depot, and I can't say enough good things about him! Mike truly goes above and beyond to help his customers. From the moment I asked for assistance, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I had everything I needed. He took the time to explain all my options, answered all my questions, and made sure I left feeling confident about my Nema 14-50 project. It’s clear that Mike is dedicated to providing his best to customers, and he made what could have been a stressful day at the Depot much easier. Thank you, Mike, for your exceptional service!

Great deals and the staff are really friendly considering they risk there life to stop people from robbing them constantly. They are always willing to help find a product even though every time I ask they are already in the middle of doing another task. Very fortunate to have staff of this caliber.

Brenden was very helpful in the lighting department. We had asked another employee but he took us to 3 different spots before we found what we had shown him we were looking for.

Me and my grandmother came in for insulation board, and an employee, Forest, was more than helpful! Their customer service was outstanding, helped us cut the board and load it into our cart. They were a great conversationalist and funny too! Brightened up both of our days! Hope to see good people like them kept on staff:)

5 stars for Brenden in the electrical department at the Bellingham Washington Home Depot.
We needed a few electrical parts, and what we needed was locked up. I went to get help and Brenden who works in the electrical department came to help us. Not only did he unlock the door but he looked in our basket and saw that we had the wrong kind of cover for the type of duplex we were putting in for an outdoor project.
He walked us through everything and then actually walked us to another department where we had to purchase something else, then he scanned all our merchandise for us at the self-checkout! It's been an extremely long time since we received that kind of service from any big box store. Kudos to Brenden!

We purchased blinds and were waiting for someone to cut them. Someone came by and was very nice and cut one set but then he took a phone call and we were kept waiting for at least 15 minutes while he was talking to someone on the phone needing Home Depot help. Nathan came by and was very gracious and helped us immediately. He was very friendly and t turns out was the manager. Highly recommend him!

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
