The Home Depot - Kohler, WI

Local customer here. I’ve consistently had positive experiences at this Home Depot location—until today. Unfortunately, my interaction with an employee named Trish was disappointing and concerning. I asked for assistance with a heavy item stored high on a shelf, and while I understood she was assisting other customers and we would need to wait, her demeanor throughout the exchange was noticeably irritated and unwelcoming.

When she was finally able to help, she appeared visibly frustrated that I even requested the item. My family, who was with me, also observed her muttering under her breath—just out of earshot—and becoming increasingly agitated as she blocked off the area and radioed for help. While it became clear the store may have been short-staffed that Sunday morning, that doesn’t excuse the dismissive and unprofessional behavior we experienced.

We came in to purchase a single item valued over $500, expecting the level of customer service we’ve previously received. Unfortunately, we felt more like a burden than valued customers. I urge Home Depot to better support and train employees in managing stress and maintaining professionalism—especially when interacting directly with customers. This experience was disheartening and frankly, unacceptable.

Fantastic place to shop for finding what I need for projects around the house. We had our carpet put in and by purchasing from Home Depot the installation was free and they did an amazing job! Definitely recommending them to friends/family.

The lady at the self check-out made it so uncomfortable for my wife and I. She asked if we needed help. My wife said no, thank you. The lady at the check-out hovered over us, practically reaching into my cart. I was going to ask her if she wanted to scan the stuff for us because she was practically on top of us. I don't know. It was weird. We shop there all the time. In a way, it made me feel like she thought we were dishonest customers or something. Like she thought we were going steal.

I like this Home Depot it's very clean stock seems to be in order and arranged properly. We'll go again

I went to the Kohler Home Depot today and everyone who helped was awesome, but there are two men that went above and beyond for me. Not sure if both of them worked in electrical (Ron and Joe or John?) sorry I did not write it down. They both helped me find a switch I was missing. However you don’t sell it. This is our second bathroom exhaust fan with blue tooth we purchased at the Home Depot. We couldn’t remember if we bought the switch online or how we got it? As I gave up on looking I went to check out and then they came over by me and told me it comes inside the box and the reason they know this is that they opened a box and it was in there. They gave me that one they pulled out of the box. Thank you for your help and for not making me buy a whole new exhaust fan. We appreciate that!

These folks absolutely suck!
They are happy to take your money but couldn’t give two shits about customer service.
Made an order for a refrigerator and range. Paid extra for delivery and installation.
Our refrigerator died a week prior, and it’s a challenge to live without a fridge, but we found what we wanted at Home Depot. With installation and the models we wanted it was worth a weeks wait.
So we thought.
The morning we were to get the order my wife got this text:

Good morning - This is RAS Logistics.
We are contracted by Home Depot to make their deliveries.
Unfortunately we were just informed that due to truck capacity your order was not able to fit on the truck & will not be delivered today. Due to the busy sale season we have rescheduled for the soonest possible day Saturday (30th)

This would be ANOTHER week!
Found what we wanted at LOWES
Order cancelled

So…bite me RAS
AND Hone Depot
We have a LOWES 40 miles to the north.
The bypass is worth it

If you can build it they have it most likely if not you know the other stores an should have gone there already otherwise shut up an shop they have the stuff just buy it already

Friendly staff, however I did have a window appointment with them to come to my house and they never showed up or called. Just no showed.

STILL no tap-to-pay options like ApplePay or SamsungPay. This is a typical Home Depot whose layout design could be improved as they haven't changed it in decades. Can feel like a dollar store with poor lighting and towers of cheap products everywhere you turn. Some items like electrical cabling are now behind lock and key. They do stock some Viega ProPress fittings. Not the place to look for small hardware items, go to an Ace instead. And the only option is self-checkout, physical CCs only.

I typically can find what I need or find an associate more than eager to help me find what I need. They can cut your lumber to size when needed, and I've used that feature for shelves and other projects in the past.

We're in here often enough to know the people that work there by name. We have never left there without what we are looking for or advice on where to find it. All of the staff that work on the sales floor are very knowledgeable in their area and we appreciate it! Cashiers are great, the store's always clean, and we will keep coming back for more! Great job!

I love home depot, but yesterday I had to open 3 bathtubs in the store to find one not damaged

Recently my wife and I bought a electric stove from kohler home depot they said they had to install and deliver so we agreed stove came on time it was delivered by three guys they installed it and left said they had 14 more deliveries that day we are in middle of kitchen remodel so when I went to move stove I discovered there wasn't a strain relief installed on 220 wire in back of stove and its very likely without it could cause a short or worse when wire gets cut by sharp edge of metal .I called home depot they said they would send me one to install myself but I haven't heard from them I would encourage people that bought stoves to check thier stoves for it.

The Home Depot is a one-stop shop for all your DIY needs. They've got everything from hammers to nails, and everything in between. No matter what project you're tackling, they're sure to have the supplies you need. Plus, their staff is always helpful and knowledgeable, even if you're a complete novice. Just be careful not to get lost in the aisles – it's easy to spend hours browsing (and filling your cart) at Home Depot! They truly are a lifesaver for any homeowner who's handy or just wants to be.

Shout out to Bryan E. for going above and beyond today. He helped me get a lawnmower out of the store and into a vehicle. This was no easy task. My dad’s truck was in the shop and will be for the next several weeks and the grass was too long to wait so off to the Depot I went. Somehow I convinced myself the box the mower came in would surely fit in the back seat of my 2019 Toyota Camry. It probably would have if it weren’t for a thing called doors and the fact that they don’t open at a 90 degree angle. The only other option was the loaner car my dad was given while his truck was in the shop, a 1997 ford focus. After some pushing, pulling, prayers and likely some magic Bryan got the box into the back of the focus and my grass is now ready for no mow may….just a few days late. Couldn’t have done it without Bryan.

Above and beyond customer service!
We recently purchased flooring, and a new washing machine. Both are installed by Home Depot and we couldn't be happier!
Always plenty to find here, and such great deals!
