No wonder the menards lot is full, this store is truly worthless in so many ways. Never can get timely help, never get a straight forward answer. How about checking the lowes app for why the only thing the employees know how to do is greet a customer? Regret it everytime I come here.

Horrible experience. They sent the wrong materials and the installers barely spoke any English. Their own estimate never said anything about soft subfloor on the stairway landing, but then it was an issue when they got there and said I needed to put in myself. They sent out wrong plywood for the job. The non speaking English installers sat in my kitchen watching you tube videos for a hour while doing nothing. Let's see if they get my refund right. Lowes really let me down. I absolutely don't recommend. Would give no stars if I could. Oh, and the installers were suppose to tell me an half an hour before they arrived at my house, guess what, no call or text.

Edit: Lowes is screwing me out of the delivery fee of 79.00 now because they sent the wrong materials. One of the installers showed up in flip flops too. I forgot to mention that in my initial review. Avoid lowes like the plague. Not very professional at all.

Loren did an absolutely wonderful job helping me find the paint that I needed was very patient with me offered me multiple different options was very intelligent when it came to where things were what I needed and it was a great experience

I won’t even give any Lowe’s any star because I bought John Deere lawn mower and I mowed the lawn first time with lawnmower and deck belt broke down, went to exchange the belt and they told me it’s wear n tear, how it can be wear in tear when someone use tractor first time and customer service told me this tractor probably got defective belt and still refuses to exchange the belt so they told me I have to pay for it and when I start asking questions they totally ignore me . It seems that Lowe’s cheat with customer selling defective product .

This place is so awesome!! My wife and I needed a shop-vac at the very last minute, and we made it to Lowe's about 10 minutes before close, and just so happened to walk in during an employee meeting with management. Well as it's been awhile since I needed anything from here, I couldn't quite remember where they were. Knowing the clock was ticking til the doors would be locked, I approached the meeting in hopes a helpful employee could tell me an aisle number and I could rush off and leave them to their meeting in peace. Sure enough, a younger looking employee spotted my approach, recognized my need for help, and eagerly walked over to help. After he informed me where to go, another, somewhat older, employee over heard our interaction and immediately noticed his co-worker had accidentally misinformed me and quickly stepped in to remedy the situation and very politely correct the misinformed employee, while simultaneously showing my wife and I the correct aisle, and even walked me there quickly, just to ensure that I made it to the right aisle without any further delay, before returning to his meeting. I was very hurried that night and cannot recall the date of this interaction, nor the names of the very diligent employees who noticed the need for assistance, and quickly stepped up to the job to get it done! I hope they received recognition for doing what is so often lacking in this world, and actually caring about the customer and their needs, while simultaneously being an awesome team member and making sure his co worker knew his mistake, and quietly telling him how to correct it! These guys efforts are A++ but the older gentleman's service was absolutely perfect and he deserves employee of the month, not to mention a raise or 3! He's their greatest asset and hope to see him there again! I will purposely look for him EVERY time I need assistance in the future!

Want to say to Davion and Sam. Excellent service. Very professional and polite. I tried to give you 10s on the survey. The survey only lets you go up to 7s. Shame on Lowe’s for changing the survey so the guys cannot get the ten you truly deserve. The five star rating goes out to Davion and Sam!

ATTENTION -- LOWE'S REGIONAL:
I am calling to speak with a regional manager as soon as I finish here to escalate my laudatory review. I run a company in Eau Claire, MI during the day and work full-time in South Bend, IN during evening hours. Last night, I had to leave early when our community was struck by severe weather resulting in a power outage to acquire generator equipment. Leaving South Bend at 9:20 PM, I would have not made the 45 minute drive with enough time to make the purchase needed. Already in route, I called to speak with the Store Manager (Ben) to explain my emergency and he offered to keep a team behind to make sure that we got what we needed to weather the storm. I wasn't aware of the time zone difference until I called and thankfully made it at about the same time that I left South Bend. However, the Store Manager still kept a crew behind to make sure I got the help that I needed (appropriate cords, crossover kit, etc). I am very grateful that Ben was thoughtful enough to keep a small team behind for about half an hour past close. I bought the largest generator in the store and it took three men to fight it into the back of my truck. I would not have been able to load the unit by myself. I didn't even have our Lowe's card on hand. The Michigan City team was able to leverage technology to pull my card up on my mobile device and use that barcode to complete a purchase that I certainly did not want to put on another credit card (about 2k). Ben, thank you for making an exception to help us keep our children warm. Billy, Abby, and Kay, your expertise was greatly appreciated during the purchase and your ability to find a way to verify our account and open a pathway for purchase without card in hand was impressive. It is always a pleasure to see masters of their craft in action! Ben and Billy, it would have taken an act of God to get that generator into the back of my truck without your help, especially without damaging the unit or my truck. The wind was so severe that when I gassed up my truck after leaving, about 100 gift cards blew off of a display rack when I opened the store at the adjacent Speedway gas station. Thank you for the VIP help. It is a great pleasure doing business with Lowe's.

I would give zero stars if possible. Went in to get 6’ pvc but they only had 5’ or 10’, so I asked for assistance in cutting the 10’ and was told they don’t have tools. It’s a home improvement store! They just don’t want to help and acted like I interrupted their day by daring to ask for assistance. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

Assistant manager here was extremely rude. She should in no way be in charge of the customer service. However the other employees were great. Me and my partner came here to get some tools with a 50 dollar gift card he was gifted in august. my partner scratched the pin number off the card and the actual numbers came off of the card. the employees tried to help, but when they couldn’t figure it out they called up the assistant manager. she grabbed the card, went where we could no longer see her.. and was “figuring it out” she came back about 30 seconds after and said “there’s no money on the card” which is a LIE. she clearly didn’t even try to figure it out, or she just assumed we were somehow scamming them out of their money. she immediately walked away without letting us say anything. she was no help, and on top of that she was extremely rude. do not buy their gift cards for someone this holiday, this isn’t the first time i’ve heard of lowe’s gift cards pin numbers coming off.

I went to Ace first, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Walked about for 20-30 minutes. There were sales associates all through the store, only 3 customers. No one came to help. I went to Lowes. I wasn't there a good 5 minutes when Avery ( very knowledgeable) asked if I needed assistance. He didn't just point he took me to the location of what I was looking for. I'm working on several projects, and every time I needed help, there was Avery to assist me. I was very impressed with his knowledge and willingness to help. You don't see this anymore. It seems like people try to avoid helping. Give this young man a raise a bonus and a pat on the back. You have gained a new customer

Needed paint for our deck. Avery in the paint department was friendly and ask if I needed help. He was very knowledgeable about the paint he suggested. As I always have questions. Lowe's needs to know he did an excellent job. I will always look for Avery when I need paint again.

Had to go into local store to complete purchase . Trying to buy fridge for second home in FL and online would not process. Wasted 3 hrs. Even tried to purchase by phone in FL location - said he couldn't take a CC payment unless it was a Lowe's card. If I could have purchased elsewhere, I would have.

OVERVIEW: Of the 3 large Home Centers in the region, I have to rank Lowe's as #3 of my favorites.
POSITIVES: BEST place to buy Appliances, Yard Equipment, & plants.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Good option for floor covering, some paint products, some tools, garden center supplies. Lumber is generally good quality, stored inside, however more expensive. Offers limited cutting for sheet lumber (although competent assistance for that is limited). 5% discount linked to credit cards. Special Buys offered are attractive.
THE NEGATIVES: Prices overall are higher than the other 2 Home Centers. Assistance is lacking and seem poorly trained, especially at the new self service check outs. The bank associated with Lowe's Credit Cards has extremely poor customer service.
Bottom line, I want to like shopping at Lowe's, but it's hard to make that choice when the home center located next door has much better pricing and customer service, the 2 biggest weaknesses of shopping at Lowe's.

Have to say this is the worst store I've ever been to talked to 4 different people just trying to get help with something, even asked for the store manager who never showed up after 37 minutes ended up going Home Depot and spending the $7391.46, that's was going to spend at Lowe's.

First off they have terrible terrible customer service. We had to physically go to the store to get something resolved because our calls kept getting cut . People in the cabinet department rarely answer their calls when your call gets transferred. Secondly we decided to buy cabinets and counter tops with Lowes. Spent almost $4000 on countertops only. And the sad part is the countertops we received look nothing like the display they currently have in the store. Our counter tops came with two big black stains that don’t even match the design. They look like a child poured ink on our countertop. We asked why the countertops look nothing like the ones the have displayed in the store and if they will do anything about it. One month later we get a response saying there is not much they can do. And that was after me asking several times when they can resolve it. I regret not going to Menards for our kitchen project because lowes has been a disappointment. I’m disappointed that we spent so much money on countertops that look pathetic and there is nothing they can do to help us . I will never recommend this Michigan city lowes location to anyone. Our granite countertops look messy and pathetic when they are supposed to look new I could have been happier buying a cheaper set somewhere else. I could go on. Really disappointed and the manager herself has not been helpful.

I went to Lowe’s today on 6/5/24 and I was looking to get paint. Picked out my colors and then waited for someone to help me. After 7 minutes I went to a lady at self checkout who was very nice and asked if she can call someone to help me in the paint department she said yes and called someone on the intercom. 5 minutes goes by she calls again. 8 minutes go by and she looks over sees me waiting still and calls again. Now there’s someone else waiting to she calls again. 3 time and still no one comes. I go to customer service and said is no one here able to mix paint??? Someone’s been called 3 times! It’s now been 25 minutes of me waiting. So lady at customer service comes and does it. No one apologized for the inconvenience or anything. Very disappointed and will be going to Menards next time.

Absolutely horrible service, waited 15 minutes to get a nail gun. Associate was not very friendly neither was the cashier. Learn to be helpful and maybe smile. Very aggravated, spent $300.00 and regret going there. Glad that we didn't buy the flooring today which was around $850.00. I probably won't be back.
