We called Francis Electrical because we needed to replace a few outlets and a breaker in our panel (after one outlet burned up from a high-draw appliance). John was prompt in answering our call and scheduling us. He explained what the repair necessitated and why. He finished the work quickly. And his pricing was reasonable. He's very good and I'd be confident in hiring John for any electrical project.

Highly recommend. John came out to install 2 whole house surge protectors in our electrical panels and new dryer and washing machine outlets. We were very happy with the work. John Francis, the owner of this business, come to my house to fix and inspect my electrical box and plug outlets in a bedroom. He is very professional, is very busy, but said he could fit me in, but he was several weeks to almost a month out. He called back, came on time, (texted he was on his way), and came with all of the supplies he needed for the jobs! He fixed all of the problems!

It turned out I had an issue that could have caused a fire! (I just noticed the lights flash or dim in a bedroom and was concerned.) He is very knowledgeable, showed me the problems, and fixed them! He is very friendly and I will definitely call him back to do a complete inspection of my entire house when some other jobs are completed. ( Right now, in the middle of painting and some things are in the way.)

I recommend John Francis and his Company to anyone who needs electrical work done! He does residential and commercial work, is licensed in several states in the area, and of course has the all the necessary insurance etc. I usually do not write reviews online but am happy to write this one. Many other contractors I have had for other jobs in my home do not do most of things I have mentioned, let alone all of the things I mentioned, which makes him the most professional contractor I have had in a long time! Excellent service!! Called for a ballast replacement and Francis Electrical informed me about ballast longevity and LED alternatives. I sent a photo of my current lighting, and John was able to provide quick, quality service.

In late-winter, early-spring; a freak tornado (climate change is tragically alive and well) tore out the powerlines, ripped a hole in our roof and downed massive trees on our property. Huge Pines, and Oaks, that were well over 75 years old, fell upon and into our home, wrecking havoc.

This meant no power during well below-freezing (20F/ -6.6C) weather. The hole in our roof exacerbated the dangers we already faced due to absence of heating, during frigid life-endangering-temperatures.

In an egregiously-life-threaning situation (we are an immunocompromised family replete with myriad working animals as well as rescue animals with special needs); Francis Electric came immediately to our aid. He came to our aid, not only efficiently and expertly, but with compassion and competency. If only more businesses were like this one ...

Francis Electric(John), extended his work hours to ensure he reached us as quickly as he was able to, and installed the necessary electrical component that was deemed requisite (by the power company). We were told by the power company (indemnified by idiotic laws that serve only to protect and prioritize corporations over people) that they would not even schedule an appointment to come and reinstate our power lines until this component had been installed by a private electrician. Francis Electric/John, arrived and expertly completed the required installation, explaining what he was doing along the way.

We had an electrical fire where Fire Department had to come out. Thank God it was isolated. REC had to turn our power off till we could have an Electrician come out. I called and got an immediate reply. Thankfully, John came quickly and fixed what needed to be fixed and we were able to have our power restored. I called this morning because I was having an issue with a kitchen outlet for my stove. John answered and he said he was finishing up some work and can stop by to check it out. Francis electrical service is a great local business. it’s a small world. It turned out John’s daughter and my daughter go to school together and are actually very good friend and we’re neighbors close by. we upgraded our water heater when it broke to a tankless unit which requires massive power upgrades. We had him run new wiring and breakers from our panel to our new water heater. he did a great job left very little mess. Did the job in one day everything works and he’s a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend him.

I called Francis Electrical on a Sunday afternoon fully expecting to get a voicemail so I could leave a message for Monday but John actually answered the phone. Wow, highly recommend this company! I had an urgent electrical issue over the weekend and they were able to show up Sunday night (even after traveling back from a long trip) and repair it on the spot. They even helped explain the issues with my system's setup in layman's terms, which no previous electrician had done for me and thus the system kept experiencing overload problems. Will definitely work with again!

John from Francis Electrical Service did an excellent job. He answered the phone call on the first ring. I called March 28th, and he was out there to give me a quote the very next day. He come out today April 7th to put in two outlets for an ice cream machine. It only took him two hours start to finish. He made sure that it worked before he left. He was very professional and respectful (called me Ma'am), he communicated with me about his arrival time- all around a very nice gentleman!

As a part of having my basement finished, the team at Francis Electrical Service LLC came out to tackle every element of the electric install. Wall outlets, wall switches, ceiling lights, and all the other bits and bobs. They were accommodating and helpful during initial planning and got the job done quickly. Everything looks great! When I called Francis Electrical Service, I got a real human being on the phone, the owner! He was able to get one of his men to come out the same day! Christmas Eve 2022, which also happens to be the coldest its been in the area for years (Shenandoah County). My power goes out. Come to find my main breaker fried up. I give this guy a call and he asks me to send pictures of my box to see what he can do. As it happens they dont make mains for that brand anymore. This is Xmas weekend so I think im out of luck but he then calls me back and says he found something that might work and even though its xmas eve (Its also a Saturday), he comes right over and rigs it up so I can have power until he can come and install a new box for me on Monday. Monday he and his crew show up bright and early and get to work. They were quick, friendly and professional. He even comes out the next day after installation to make sure everything is good to go. Honestly he went the extra mile for us and legit saved Xmas. You wont find many contractors willing to come out on weekends let alone Xmas weekend. If i could give Francis Electrical more than 5 stars i would. Any electrical jobs i have from here on ill be calling him. He made a customer for life via this job.

A recent storm knocked out my rental property power by pulling the electrical wiring mast out of the roof. I reached out to Mr. Francis around 3pm and he set up a crew to come out first thing in the morning. He gave me honest estimates by looking at the pictures I sent over. We had an emergency situation with our camper wiring. He came within 10 minutes of our call and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. So extremely thankful! Very courteous and understanding that we needed this done before the next week because of the freezing temperatures. He was also very cheap for the price. Can't thank him enough for his time!

Called at 9am on a Monday as half our lights went out and no breakers were tripped. A guy was at our house within 2 hours and fixed our whole issue in 20 minutes. Reasonably priced, professional, and informative. Definitely will call again!

My experience with Francis Electrical Service was exceptional from the first. John answered the telephone! I had been looking for an electrician to replace a ceiling fixture for a while, and came across many that just did not respond, or when responding did not follow up. Believe John’s 5 Star rating. His service is professional, and courteous and the pricing is fair. He encountered a problem with the fixture that I’d purchased. It was missing parts, but he went above and beyond by going out to Lowe’s to source what was needed. The fixture is installed and I am so grateful.
