My mother came into the store this Saturday July 26th. She is a woman in Lowe’s. Common sense tells you a woman in Lowe’s probably doesn’t know much about what the items are OR WHERE THEY ARE. Most typical women don’t know much about it. Anyways, she would stop near the type of item she needed, (ex: a pole saw) so she’s looking at all the different ones etc. Also, looked at many others things she needed for her home. During all of this she was constantly being followed by a male employee and then chased down by a woman multiple times that seemed to be a manager. The manager asked how she planned to pay for the items before she was even ready to check out. Why the hell is that your business? She will pay when she’s done shopping. She has a Lowe’s credit card and shops with Lowe’s frequently. She also does very well for herself. The HARASSMENT is ridiculous. You can’t just assume someone is shoplifting. There is no time limit on how long you can shop around. She had summer outfit on and you can’t exactly fit a damn pole saw inside of your shirt now can you??? Do some work instead of chasing people around and making assumptions. She ended up going to her car and crying because of the way she was treated in this store. Maybe consider a customer service class for the employees at this location!

Best ever experience at the Franklin, VA location! Went in on 05/11/25 to get several large 2'x2' porcelain pavers to finish a project. On first encounter, Tequwan didn't hesitate to assist and immediately went to get help and Benjamin came with the forklift. They pulled out the pallet, and helped go through the stacks of pavers, one by one, to make sure they were not damaged. They were very professional, provided lighthearted conversation, and worked really well together as a team to get the job done efficiently. We have previously purchased these pavers at other Lowe's locations in Hampton, Newport News 0420, and W. Chesapeake and did not receive this level of service; we struggled a bit by ourselves. I hope Tequwan and Benjamin can be recognized with an incentive, raise, or bonus for a job well done!

Disappointing Experience at Lowe's Franklin
I visited Lowe's in Franklin, VA, yesterday to explore doors. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. Two staff members were engaged in conversation and didn't offer assistance, leaving me feeling neglected and disrespected. I perceived their behavior as discriminatory, and it felt like I wasn't welcome due to my skin color. The fact that I had to approach them for help added to my frustration. Sadly, this experience has led me to decide not to shop at this Lowe's location again.

Had to wait for an hour and a half for lowes to figure out my order for topsoil, mulch . They do not coordinate there efforts to load your vehicle with your order. Bad back and 65 years old. I guess our time is not as important as theirs. It's not rocket science.

I came in today on 06/28/24. I was roaming and couldn't find what I was looking for. I ran into NYKEY and what a blessing. He assisted way more than an average employee. He went above and beyond to help me. He helped so gracefully with willingness and pleasure. I've never experienced service like he gave me EVER!!!! I was checking out with an overload of heavy mulch. PARRISH offered to help me which was beyond amazing he was patient and extremely helpful as he assisted me at checkout.I let him know i was already offered help by NYKEY. NylYKEY happened to be walking past me and said I will gladly load that in your car if you let me. I have never met someone so amazing at their job. He definitely deserves to be recognized and compensated for this. Great job young man. You are phenomenal!!!!

I purchased a washing machine at this location on 05/18/24. It took close to 2 hours to get in and out. I picked one out immediately, the employee checks stock then proceeds to go to the back to make sure its there and comes back 20 mins later and says that it is not in stock. So I picked another model.......This happened on all 4 of the models I picked. Finally they showed me something they did have in stock that wasn't a floor model for $200 more and I took that one.
This is where the complaint begins. I checked MYREWARDS today and noticed that the purchase had not been included yet. I went to the store to get a receipt reprinted from MAY 18th! and the only response I received was, its not showing up. I showed the person waiting on me my phone with the transaction from the lowes website and my response was still, It is not showing anywhere in the computer.
If something as simple as not being able to pull a receipt up from a month ago had not been such a horrible process, I probably would not even have mentioned that I spent a good part of a Saturday trying to purchase an appliance.
Again all I needed was a reprinted receipt so I could manually enter my purchase for my rewards and could not get that. What happens if my appliance fails within the warranty period and I can't provide that info??
I am in no way complaining about the employees who attempted to help me. I am complaining about the store as a business. Good managers inform, train, and put processes in place to simplify the customers transactions and the employees are a tool to get that accomplished.

I wanted to purchase an item that was on sale, and the price rang up incorrectly. I had to wait for someone to check the price. I had a clearance item that required a manager, and the clerk called. No one came. I would have given Lowes 1 star, but the clerk at self checkout was nice. It is a shame that management service does not seem to be a priority every day.

I don't come here often. The last time I did however,I was looking for something in specific. In the aisles with nails/hooks,for hanging home decor. The employee (whom I've seen before) walked up to a Caucasian male, asking him if he needed assistance. I was ignored. So much so that the employee started having a conversation with other Caucasian males. I had to insert myself in the conversation & ask for help. There was a pause, stare & silence, before he lead me in the right direction.

Lowes is lowes. If you have been to one you have been to them all the only difference is the staff and this lowes has some pretty amazing people working there. I would give five stars, but I don't purchase lumber or plumbing stuff to know if they have a great selection.

If there was an option for negative stars I would have chosen it. Hands down the worst construction retailer in the U.S. employees are sparse and generally un helpful. Noone is available to help load and that's assuming that the employees can locate their inventory. I choose to use Lowes as a veteran for the discount, but its not worth my time anymore. Franklin Lowes is where customer service goes to die.

With this nice weather we have been having I have been able to work in my yard. I ran into Lowes to pick up what I needed. I had quick access, speedy check out and friendly associates as usual. Spotted some deals I am going to return and look closely at later this week.

Third time I ordered mulch online for curbside pickup. Each time there was a different process and I've been waiting in the mulch corale for over 8 minutes and no one here to load the mulch. I'll just do it my self and help myself to as much as I want. If I had a truck I would be getting 8 bags versus the 4 I purchased. Lol glad I'm honest. They always have employees walking around with their thumbs stuck where the sun doesn't shine and I can't get my mulch loaded.

Excellent Store. Clean and always stocked. Unfortunately self checkout now. But you can refuse and they will check you out.

Aside from following what appears to be a retail trend of moving merchandise around so you have to stay in the store longer to locate something you used to know the location of... Hoping, I suppose, customers will impulse-buy more... The store had everything I needed to make repairs to the water line from my well to the house. Employees were very helpful in my search for things like barbed fittings and hose clamps. The store is well stocked.

Chain store. Miss the old mom and pop hardware.
military and first responder discount across the board still. Home Depot can't say that. In the past year they have screwed up two of my orders one as a month past due (took 10% off comp) now another order is past due. The supplier said 11 Jul est ship date nut here it is 1 Aug and not a soul answers the phone there! Wish I could review less than one star.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
