I have never been more disgusted in a store in my life than at Lowe’s. They don’t even give a store credit. They don’t give nothing unless you got the receipt. Now that’s crazy because it says Lowe’s all over it and a damn short and walk out of there with a table, top manual salt, and a piece of wood. See that’s wrong that’s wrong. I’m gonna see what the orange store do.

I always find everything I need in this store! Normally I purchase mulch, Peatmoss, fertilizers, plants, bavkyar dupplies and tools. It is right beside a Walmart and 1 minute away from a Home Depot. A couple of minutes away I64 and 199.

This is my go-to store for anything I need for home projects. The staff is always helpful, fast, and friendly. I’ve gotten paint here several times, and the associates are knowledgeable and make the process easy. The wood I’ve purchased has always been good quality, and the store is consistently clean and well-organized. A reliable and pleasant shopping experience every time.

We got some pavers that we needed. And every so often they have where members can get a free item if they sign up ahead of time to come and get it. This time it was a tiny bucket (about pint size) with their name on it and a little stuffed dog. It was cute.

I like Lowes is the bottom line. You are either a Lowes or Home Depot person. Lowes, in my opinion, is 1 step ahead of the competition purely by the way they treat Vets.

Recently helped my brother-in-law purchase a new washer/dryer combo at the Williamsburg location.
1. Product knowledge - less than average
2. Customers service - absolute disgrace
3. Delivery team - complete incompetence
4. Take your business to any other retailer when it comes to appliance purchases and delivery.
The Lowes team failed on all fronts!

Horrendous customer service. Ordered quantity 3 of twin pack outside lights and received 3 individual lights. )Order #300901358240577601) I immediately brought the shortage to the attention of the staff who looked at me and asked how I wanted to handle the situation??? I made it clear that I simply wanted the lights. Rob at the pickup counter had me talking to Lenette somewhere in the back of the store via speaker. Lenette stated she would reach out to the vendor who shorted the order and would copy me on the email, which she did. But, she proceeded to tell me that the vendor may not respond positively in resolving the issue. No response from Lenette on the status in a 9 day period, so I called customer support twice and they were ZERO help as well. The last agent indicated that he would have told me to do the exact same thing due to difficulty with vendors. I told him my issue was not with the vendors, it was with LOWES who I PAID. He advised me to return the 3 lights to the store for credit and then reorder what I needed instead of Lowes handling the shortage and getting me 3 more lights.

I will be returning the 3 lights for full credit of the 6 I paid for and going to Home Depot from here on out.

Update: Contacted Customer Service as you requested and it was the same story, they blame it on the local store and have no resolution. Went directly to the store and got my money back. I also cancelled another $600. Left the store and went next door to Home Depot, where I will now be doing business. I gave them $2,000 to start the relationship as we renovate our home.

Looking for help with flooring and we were pleased with the low prices on top quality carpet, including installation, pet protection and premium pad. The associate was super knowledgeable and helpful. He also helped us to understand the best flooring for our downstairs and we came away very well-versed thanks to his help. This is pretty consistent at this store. We recommend stopping there first.

On my most recent visit yesterday, Bella went above and beyond to assist me with my needs, showcasing genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism. I also want to highlight Linda, whose exceptional service on a previous visit left such a positive impression that I chose to return to this Lowe's location instead of my usual Home Depot down the way. I stopped shopping at Lowe's in the last year it went downhill and it's not a good company any longer but I do occasionally go to this location because the garden center is amazing. The only reason they got any stars was because of this particular Garden Center

A special thank you goes, to Jayme in customer service. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful. First we called Gloucester store to confirm inventory and we were told they had zero in stock but web said 84 in stock. Drove to Williamsburg which is an hour away and then had issues with our Lowe’s for pro’s coupon. Jayme stepped right in and assisted. She finally got the coupon to work then the register wouldn’t take cash. She didn’t get frustrated and did everything she could to make our experience as pleasant as possible. She’s very knowledgeable and very kind. There was no reason for her to keep apologizing as nothing that went wrong was her fault. Lowe’s has a rockstar of an employee with her and I hope they realize what an asset she is to them.

The best Lowe's ever. There are some of the nicest people I have ever met there. Service may be slow (I only mentioned this because I notice this in other comments) because when they help you, they take their time to REALLY help you. I needed help with a wood project and they helped me get everything I needed on a budget and explained every single product. If you talk to someone in the wrong section they will get you to an expert.

They are also so nice to my dog. He is actually excited to go to Lowes now.

This is such as great Lowes, I started doing more projects.

Cannot push cart out to vehicle due to parking in loading area and barrier of lumber in the way. Further, aisle that I needed was blocked and so many empty carts in lumber area I gave up and went to Home Depot, which will be my first choice from now on

Terrible customer when attempting to purchase a utility trailer. Lowes associate Jason seemed to be put out to have to help us with the trailer purchase. Didn't verify the trailer ID matched the title or that the trailer lights worked.

Had to go back in to thr store when the lights didn't work. They sent out a different associate who didn't know trailers and had no key to unlock the trailers to help us with trading the inoperable trailer for one that had lights that worked. He said there were two customer calls and Jason didn't want to come out and help us again so they sent him.

I went back in to the store to just get a refund. Asked to speak to the manager. When she finally showed up she didn't introduce herself and copped an attitude. Standing with her hands on her hips she asked me several times in a sparky voice "so what do you want me to do about this?" At which point I said you need to know about the terrible customer service Jason gave which cost your store a $1000 sale today and that I would go purchase the trailer at their competitor instead.

Between the sales associate and store managers lack of basic courtesy and desire to help and make a sale I will be shopping at other merchants instead of Lowes.

I visited Lowe’s on Saturday night, 8/18/24, just before closing, to get some supplies for a wooden electric spool project. I was looking for the right sandpaper and stain, and that's when Skip stepped in to help. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to assist me. The world needs more people like Skip—he truly deserves a raise! I’ll definitely be back and ask for him by name.

I also want to mention the two other young men who initially helped me out. They were very polite and quickly contacted Skip to make sure I got exactly what I needed. This was hands down some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

Trying to get help in this williamsburg store is a joke . Brand new guy working alone in appliances. Great guy but you can tell no training . He calls for help no managers help comes. Customer service like this happens in the store every time I come in here. It should not take an hour and a half to get a dishwasher and a sink. Poor training is why you lose employees.

Purchased a dishwasher, purchased installation which had a rebate for the cost of installation ($175). Filled out the rebate, met all the requirements for the rebate, but was denied the rebate. When I asked why, I was told it was outside the date, and installation was not listed on the receipt. I replied that it was, sent them another copy of the same receipt, and was then told it was approved. This appears to be a very shady business practice, deny rebates, and if the customer complains, send them the rebate. A quick search of the internet confirms this. Shame on you Lowe's for allowing this to happen.

I had to change my review. We purchased a new refrigerator on the morning of the 1st of May. We were told we would receive a phone call with an expected time for delivery that night for the 2nd. We did not receive the call. My husband called about 840 and asked why. They said yours is on the truck and will be delivered today (the 2nd) between 12 and 4. No one came no one called again. Husband called they said no one answered the phone so they didn't stop. Husband said I've been waiting all afternoon no one called.. it was oh we called the wrong number so that is our fault how? If you setup a promised delivery you should deliver the item. Its called good customer service. Well its 9 o'clock still no refrigerator and the delivery folks don't work on weekends. So, lowes should compensate us for a day lost of wages waiting for delivery people that couldn't delivered as indicated by Lowe's and incompetent people giving the delivery people the wrong number. It was a good opportunity for Lowe's to fix what they did wrong and completing the delivery on the 2nd as promised on the 1st.

I went to pick up potting soil for a Sunday school project and saw flowers 5 for 5$ my husband and I found some we wanted and went register. Even though all the plants were on SAME rack 1/2 rang up 1.00 and 1/2 rang up 4.98. No One, not the cashier, not the helper, nor manager on duty seem to think this was a problem and refused to discount the flowers that they were advertising. They said "we don't have a lot of staff and they just through things everywhere. What is going on in our world EVEN Lowes manipulates you and when caught just says . Oh well that's how it is. Lowes was our go to store..no more.

Their selection of home repair and home improvement products is vast and generally intuitively laid out. Some merchandise suffers from lack of attention, but overall very well done.

A recent redesign of the customer service center up by the main entrance has been well received and is a vast improvement over the previous bottleneck.

Store pickup of major appliance purchases is one standout feature of Lowe's. While they do home delivery of major appliances like their competitors, they also allow for customer pickup at the store. A great thing when I have an immediate need for a replacement appliance or just want to pick it up on my own schedule.

A down side for Lowes vs. their orange competition is that they do not have a rental store at this location.
