I had Mr.Varner put a roof on my house the end of May 2020. The house was inspected December 29 2020. There are several issues, (1) the flashing around the chimney is not adhering to the roof (2) some of the shingles have been folded or broken, they put caulking on the folds where the grit is coming off (3) there is a vent cap that was cut to big ,they put some caulk around it which is pulling away from the pipe. When I spoke with Mr. Varner, he said he would not fix it. Then he said it would cost me more money, then he told it was my roofs fault because the sheeting was too thin, ( although the previous roof was over 15 years old), and told me to sue him.Then he told me he would be at my house at 3 pm. At 2:17 he called and said he had already been there. I told him I had pictures.He will not contact me to work this out. We are encouraged to use local business men however if this is what local people do I don't think we can afford to do business with them.
this man took thousands of dollars from my parents and have YET to even start the job that he was hired to do in March 2020. he’s made excuse after excuse and has actualy asked for MORE money quoting that he underbid. we are at the point of geting lawyers involved. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY. HE IS A THIEF.
Gerald did our original roof almost 20 years ago. Then recently we had to replace our roof and we called him again. He did a fantastic job His crew was knowledgeable and extremely courteous. I would highly recommend him.
