Cancelled my box truck reservation with no explanation 3 hours before I was supposed to pick it up (and start moving). After calling a few times and being passed from person to person I was told it was cancelled because the truck is in the shop. Maybe don’t let people rent equipment that is out of service. Now it is too late for me to find an alternative anywhere and I’m supposed to be moving tomorrow morning. Perfect, thanks!

This is specifically for the Kitchen Design center. After four months of having them make me the 'general contractor', we are still waiting for the job to be done. They use various subcontractors to get one simple job done of replacing kitchen cabinets with the same footprint (the cabinets came in fast). The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing in the process. Buy what you need but hire someone who can coordinate everything because they do not.

I had to walk all over the store to find what I needed, there was no help available. I finally got to a register up front, where I stood with a small group of other customers waiting to check out. After 15 MINUTES an employee finally noticed we were standing there and came over to say the registers were down!! They couldn't have put up a notice?? I will never go there again un my natural life.

My sister and I came in to get a lot of gardening and house supplies, but we were having trouble finding some things. “Big Mike” saw us wandering the aisles and asked if he could help. He was so cheerful and genuinely excited to help us! We gave him our list and not only did he walk us around the store to find the items, but he helped us find better deals on items we already had in our basket ^_^ Absolute gem of a person! I will definitely return to this store and will recommend others do so as well because of Big Mike. Thank you so much!!

This is one of the cleanest and most well-stocked hardware stores I've been in. They also pulled down a fresh pallet of plywood 10 minutes before closing so that I could buy 2 sheets. They are doing things right here.

Amazing service by Chris in the lumber department. He really went above and beyond for my father and me and we greatly appreciated it! Give that man a kudos, a raise, or a gift card or something because if I could give our experience getting lumber with Chris ten stars, I surely would!

Bought an over the range microwave which they had in stock. We asked about installing the microwave We were given a card with the # to call to have it installed. Called the # this morning at 11AM. Was told we would get a phone call back shortly to set up the date and time for the installation. By 5PM when we didn’t receive a call, I called back. The representative I spoke to couldn’t find any info regarding the morning phone call. I asked him if he could please start the ball rolling. I was told he had never done this before!!!!! I ended up speaking to a Manager who told me Home Depot doesn’t do installations when the product is bought directly from the store.
Never again.

I looked up every product I needed, the aisle, the price, number in stock, etc and I still had trouble locating a few items. Otherwise if you're not in a rush like me my last trip there it's a GREAT place for repair lovers! Clean, organized, open space, great garden department, friendly staff, well stocked, uncluttered! Parking-lot was clean & had a Chick-fil-A right there

This morning, Tyneesha at the service desk called to let me know that one of the items I ordered that was in stock, is not in a box, and likely because it was a little damaged. I wouldn’t want it and she wasn’t going to have it delivered to me. She coordinated an in stock item with another store and is having it delivered tomorrow. She went above and beyond, and easily could have just delivered the damaged product without going the extra mile.

I would not expect this level of service from Home Depot, and I’m so grateful to Tyneesha for not doing the easy thing and having the damaged item delivered

I came to pick up an online order, and out of 4 employees standing behind the customer service counter, no one spoke to me for a couple of minutes. Not even “Hi we will be with you shortly” or anything. One girl was on the landline phone talking about her mom and personal issues…. Tacky.

Finally Britney (who was rude and shouldn’t be working with customers) helped me retrieve my online order, but she made helping me seem like it an inconvenience.

The personalities that I witnessed today were as dry as the wood they sell.

Much better service than Lowe’s. Staff is super helpful and friendly with great tips or advice on all the projects you might have going on. Rentals are really affordable and the guys in there are nice too.

My wife and I recently purchased a house and decided to install blinds. We chose Bali Blinds from Home Depot, costing us $2700, including installation. The purchase was made in early March, but the installation process has been far from satisfactory.

Home Depot outsources its installation services, and the contractor arrived in mid-March to install the blinds. However, only 90% of the blinds were installed as the vertical blinds were sent with incorrect hardware. The contractor, who displayed an unprofessional attitude throughout, assured us that he would contact Home Depot and return to complete the installation.

A month later, we were scheduled for the completion of the installation on April 27, 2024, between 11 am and 2 pm. Unfortunately, the contractor showed up at the wrong house, which was merely a subdivision over. Instead of rectifying his mistake, he responded with “oh well, not my problem, I’m not going anywhere else.”

We attempted to contact his company, but our calls went unanswered. Our subsequent visit to Home Depot proved futile as their attempts to contact the company were equally unsuccessful. Home Depot now seems to be in the dark about the situation and unable to provide a timeline for the completion of the job we paid for.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and accountability from both the contractor and Home Depot has left us with an incomplete service and blinds that are yet to be fully installed. We hope that Home Depot addresses this issue promptly and ensures such incidents do not recur in the future.

I a female would love to build but I don’t have a clue. I am generally educated with construction because I build my house plus from traveling to Greece and watching them building. When I walked in early evening I was walked through my project with a female employee. Left happy. A few day later I realized the pine shelves are not strong so I returned but this time with three employees standing a few feet away who had seen me I had to yell for help. This experience was bizarre. I came in to buy cedar wood for four shelves. I provided the male employee the quantity and the measurements so I went looking around near by. I’m called to pay. It wrong $180. I was confused. I was getting six shelves not four. I was too embarrassed to start anything and left in a weird state of mind. . To shorten my ordeal the shelves were cut 70 inches. Way too long. Then they were wider. I bought them for my window to display my sea glass art. Did not sleep. Next day after I talked to a non friendly general manager I was told to bring them back to be cut. Once I arrived she wouldn’t come to see me so a young man, Ted stepped in to help me. He cut them to size and apologized for the inconvenience. He treated me with kindness and respect and professionalism. He asked to run my credit card so he will deduct all the money. I looked at this young man with surprise. I was so grateful considering I live on fix income. Again his name Ted explained that it wasn’t fair and was not treated well and as a manager he feels it’s his duty to refund the money and give me the shelves. I actually fell to get on my knees and kiss his feet. Yes it a huge store. Well stocked. Clean but Ted made Home Depot Great.

Went in person to buy a fridge, delivery date of 12/28 promised by employee. Delayed a week and a half, customer service promised a temporary fridge and partial refund. Manager condescendingly said that has never been done. Delayed delivery date passed. Cancelled order, was told I'd receive a refund 3-5 business days later. Another lie, 9 business days later and it's not even pending. 15 phone calls and that many days later, no fridge, no refund, only a credit card bill I have to fight. Never order an appliance from this store or maybe any Home Depot unless it's a toilet you want to flush money down. Buy from Best Buy instead, they deliver on time rather than lie multiple times.

I needed a tomato plant. So when I got there I asked a nice man worker who directed me to a whole row of them. They had all the supplies that I needed. (This time)
Another time they again had most of what I wanted. So far though, the fall flower assortment isn't very big.
We ordered something to be delivered. It was just a small part to go on a faucet. It was put in a big box with no padding. It was bouncing around so much that the packaging came open and the pieces were falling around. Thankfully all the pieces were there and not broken.

The facade of the Home Depot looks different but quaint. Inside it is a normal Home Depot. Talked to some very helpful people here and got what I was looking for!

This Home Depot location is generally well stocked, neat and organized. Overall staffing can be spotty. Learned long ago to be self reliant in locating merchandise. Seeking advice? Fuggedaboutit! While some merchandise suffers from lack of attention or restocking, overall I give then kudos for making due with a skeleton crew.

The return desk/online order pickup desk is mostly well staffed with helpful folks. Online order pickup is generally very efficient as are returns.

In addition to the usual departments, there is a tool and equipment rental store.

Ample parking, quick checkout, great online special-order capability. Lots to like.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
