I didn’t catch his name, but the associate working in the paint department around 8:30 tonight was so helpful! It was our first time buying paint and he explained everything thoroughly and kindly. A great first buying experience. :)

I've been to several different H.D. stores around the KC metro and this one beats them all. The staff is as friendly and helpful as you would hope all retail outlets to be. Big shout out to Brian. He's the best of the best. I'm happy to say this H.D. is my new home store.

Do not order anything online from this location. They will lose your items, lie and say that you placed the order wrong (they placed the order for me at the register a week prior), and will not provide any alternative. Extremely disappointed in their customer service, as this issue took three separate employees and not one knew a single thing about their order system.

after shopping here for years i will NOT be returning. the quality has gone downhill anyway (the lumber is too warped for what i need) and i was absolutely profiled by a member of staff today- the manager did nothing but make excuses. my mother worked that store for a good damn minute and will flat out tell you it’s just BS they use to discriminate on people. this woman didn’t stop ANYONE else while i was shopping but insisted on scanning all of my items after i said i could myself. (i have autism and prefer to scan and bag my own things my way and this has NEVER been a problem. the times my partner has gone to checkout with me IN THE LAST WEEK when i’ve spent over $1000 i wasn’t stopped. but today when he went to look at a camera while i rang up i got stopped- because i have facial piercings and am noticeably queer.)
but she applied the military discount to an old woman who ‘couldn’t remember’ her phone number no problem! usually wouldn’t go out of my way for a review like this but i didn’t need to be snarked at by a home depot employee before 10am on a Sunday.

I know it's petty but I don't have time for dumb. I've spent too much money in that store to deal with their petty return policy on a twenty dollar item. I will be using lowe's or amazon. Sorry but death to big box stores. Lost life long customer over $30 I dont need. Ill pay extra for no headache over petty item. But buy deHomepot

For do it your selfers this is a great place to shop the staff was polite and professional plus very knowledgeable on home repairs and upgrades the prices are competitive and the products are name brand the store is clean there are restrooms the store is handicap friendly with plenty of parking go check ✔️ it out you won't be disappointed I promise.

Home Depot speaks for itself it has a lot to choose from and is a very popular place to go to, there are a few people there that could use Improvement on their welcoming or attitude in general
There are some good people, and there are some helpful people. I would recommend that maybe the attitude would be better probably starting from the top and coming down
if the employees fail then management fails so to speak.
Some of us are in management and or Contracting in construction, so we know and see how it all works when it comes to managing people and helping people in the store, it lacks a lot.
Still a good store but remember you have Menards next to you and their competition so I would like to keep the people.
My motto is it's easy to get customers but it's hard to get them back, when you put a bad taste in your mouth or lack of help or lack of something you start losing customers, and before long you just closed the doors because you can't afford to beat the competition

I'm perplexed why Home Depot closed early Sunday evening when they advertise they are open at 8:00pm. This shocked me when I arrived at 7:47pm to buy something I needed and drove about 8 miles from home to get there to find it closed. Why post your hours of business if you don't adhere to it? It's not appropriate to run a business this way!

I splurged on a new Christmas tree this year, and I opened the box to find it is rusted and crusty!

Last year we got a fresh tree from the Lawrence Home Depot and it ended up drying out in less than a week. So this year I went in store and got an artificial tree and had it shipped.

It was delivered a day late, and I’m finally getting it set up only to find joints where the branches meet the trunk are rusty on all three layers. I’m so disappointed and frustrated!

Buyer beware, Home Depot sells crusty Christmas trees, fresh or faux.

I always find someone who is willing to help me at a Home Depot store. They support veterans and give us a discount without all the rules and exclusions other stores have. I love Home Depot and I will continue shopping there.

Yesterday was our last visit to this store. I’ll go to Menards or Ace or anywhere else before we return there. My husband and I have physical mobility issues and when we asked the man working in the area if he could cut a piece of insulation board so we could get it into our car he said “I don’t cut that. Here” and tried to hand us his box cutter. In the middle of my husband trying to explain his inability to bend down the employee took a radio call then said “I don’t cut that” and walked away.

I had gone to this location for the last two years, and it's a hit and miss each time. Tried to get doors installed. Two months later, still not installed, and the appointments we had sent up a total of 4 appointes where there was no call/ no show. The one time they did show up, not scheduled, was during a family surgery.

Checked out at the garden center since I picked up some flowers. Kenji (according to the receipt) was my cashier. I held up a plant, he scanned it and I put it down so he could get the rest of my items. At the end, he asked if I was getting the plant that I placed on the ground. I said “that’s the first plant you scanned” he replied “I didn’t scan it”. So I let him scan it and I pay. (As I walk away him and his coworker were taking about being such an “well oiled machine” HA).

After looking over the receipt, I was of course charged twice for the plant I told him was already scanned. So I go to customer service and wait for 20 minutes to be helped. Evidently making popcorn to pass out is more important than helping customers? Whoever is managing this store needs to do better

Homedepot is great except when something happens. I was trying to get someone on the phone because one of their sevice vans almost hit my car with my 2 year old in it. I had to slam on my breaks as the van proceeded to merge 2 lanes with no turn signal, when I honked they continued to get over and didn't even look to see if anyone was in their blind spot or lane. I have had a hell of a time trying to get someone on the phone. I was first given a phone number for Ashley, which I called and it was the wrong one, she directed me to ask for roadie (I'm not sure of the spelling) because she only deals with the big moving trucks. I then got an email and was told to email what happened only to find out the email is wrong and doesn't work.

DO NOT BUY LARGE APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEBOT! Purchased a fridge from them on their 4th of July “sale”. Then when it came time for delivery, the delivery was pushed back to a later date not once but twice the second time being over 2 months out from when we originally purchased it. I was then offered an upgrade only for them to change their mind and tell me I would have to wait for my fridge to come back in stock with no set date on when they would receive the inventory. Horrible customer service. Will never shop here again.

Sometimes, Home Depot can be intimidating, and it's challenging to find exactly what you're looking for. During a recent visit to my family in Lawrence, KS, I learned that my mom and her neighbors were dealing with a prowler who was trespassing through their yards at night, carrying a flashlight and looking in windows. I was furious that the local police weren't taking action, stating they needed camera footage to do anything. Concerned for my mom's safety, I took her to Home Depot to find a back patio motion light and camera.

After waiting for ten minutes for assistance in the electrical department, we asked customer service for help. That's when Sunny came to our rescue. She not only helped us find what we were looking for but went above and beyond by consulting her co-workers about the best security devices. Sunny understood our situation and even provided a chair for my mom to sit in while she searched for the right product. Her kindness and dedication were remarkable, ensuring my mom had everything she needed before we made our purchase.

The following day, after speaking with my mom's security company, we realized we didn't need the items we bought. We decided to return them and purchase an electric trimmer for her shrubs instead. This time, Toree assisted us. She helped us order a lightweight, cordless electric trimmer with two different attachments, making sure it was suitable for my mom. Toree was patient and kind, noticing that direct home delivery would be faster. She also ensured that the trimmer had the charger and battery, unlike the first one we picked.

Both Sunny and Toree made these two visits to Home Depot the best experiences we've had. Thank you so much for your help, patience, and gratitude. We will definitely return!

Good selection of DIY items for the weekend projects or professional renovations.

Staff is sparse in the aisles and it can be frustrating finding someone who actually has extensive knowledge on projects you may have a questions about.

There are no veteran discounts on lumber or plumbing supplies, so I buy those items at Menards where I can get 11% back.

They have a great lineup of tools across the most popular brands.

In Lawrence the Menards and Home Depot are right next to each other. Take the time to visit both when shopping for items. Sometimes the difference in price can be in excess of 50%. Especially plants.

I visited this Home Depot minimum twice every day during remodeling the Concept 23 project which lasted over 5 months. I was impressed by Frank. He is five star guy. He know what he is doing and always, Always solved my problem on single visit.

I had a challenge when I was installing my signage that LED strip light is not bright enough. After a brief explanation, he just turned around unlocked the cabinet and handed me a role of thin wire saying" this will solve your problem!" and obviously it did. Every led light evenly bright at night that made the Concept 23 signage is the brightest sign on that street. Whenever I see faded sign at night, I always speak to myself"Lol buddy, go Home Depot and talk with Frank, he will give you a satisfied answer for all your electrical parts issues!"

Frank made my day brighter every day. Thank you for having him.

I made a purchase at the store #2211 - Lawrence, KS on 8/1/2024. I paid for the purchase with my credit card. On 8/2/2024 I received an email requesting I take a survey regarding my purchase on 8/1. The email was sent to an address that is NOT associated with the credit card so they didn't get my email from the credit card company. The credit card is NOT associated with any account I have to use the Home Depot app on my phone so they didn't associate it that way. This means that Home Depot used my credit card information cross reference OTHER DATABASES to obtain my NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE, EMAIL and potentially ANY other information as may be available! THIS IS AN INVASION OF MY PRIVACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
