Menards - Dickinson, ND

Rented a carpet cleaner from Menards and had trouble getting the roller to spin at home. Brought the cleaner back and DAVID was super helpful and swapped machines after helping me troubleshoot just to realize the belt was broken before I even checked it out! DAVID was awesome and refunded me and was such a help!

I saw some guy named Dan, who's probably a Manager or something with the way he was talking to this other employee, basically lay into that employee for no goddamn reason in the middle of the store, I don't wanna shop at some place where the Manager can't even have the decency to take an employee aside and speak to that employee like a grown adult.

I went thru the warranty on appliances and there is no service center in Dickinson but menards can help and if you paid for the extended warranty Allstate can help.I was angry with the warranty service but menards rocks and they have helped me in my washer issue

We bought a tool & compressor combo kit here right off the shelf. Got it home and opened the box and not only was it covered in sawdust, paint, and had obviously been used, it didn’t even work. All we got from customer service was “I’m sorry for the inconvenience.” We’re 3 hours away and now out the money AND can’t continue our house build until we’re able to get to a store that sells actual usable and working merchandise. Check your boxes before you leave if you insist on shopping here!

Short version of what happened!!
I was attacked and assaulted by an employee and asked many times for the police to be called and was told to call them myself by the GM and I would have if I had my cellphone. After the GM had an attitude he called. Not one time was I asked if I needed medical help as he was worried about a stupid report they needed to do and not worried about the well being of the customer. It's sad that he didn't even apologize for what happened to me. He should be demoted!! Calling cooperate is a joke as well as I got passed around from one desk to another.. DO BETTER MENARDS!!

Met the nicest group of guys in the outdoor landscape supply area... They helped me find exactly what came to purchase and made it fun...

Received a package in the mail from Menards today, had no idea what I had ordered, when I opened it I was surprised to see my metal clipboard folder thing . I apparently left it in the Dickinson store. That was so cool of them to send it to me as I live 3 hours away. Thank you to whomever took the time to be so thoughtful.

Drove 3 hours round trip to pick up a bathroom vanity. When I was there the last one had been opened but I was assured that if it was back on the self it was good. Got it home and opened it up to find out it was obviously a return; everything had been haphazardly shoved back into the box and the vanity had multiple large cracks. I called but had no choice to drive all the way back and exchange it. The first girl working at the desk was nice and sent someone with me to find one to exchange it with. When I got back a new girl was there who was just terrible. She basically ran at me demanding my receipt acting like I was trying to leave the store. When I was able to get a word in I told her I was exchanging it and she continued to act really annoyed. So yeah 6 hour drive because they didn't check the goods they were putting back on the shelves and treated like a criminal. Awful experience.

Every employee I came into contact with was friendly and courteous. One man went out of his way to help me with some heavy lifting and to make sure I had everything I needed all the while sporting a smile! It made up for the rearrangement of the pet supplies.

If they don't have what you need they can probably order it! You (I) can't just stop here for a quick one item pickup. I've tried. If you leave without buying something, change your attitude! . Swing by the grocery section and grab some comfort food! ....make sure to take some time along with you when you go.....this place is HUGE!

Always a smiling helpful associate at your fingertips no matter what you're looking for they offer a rebate on everything ask an associate for details 11%as I recall nothing to sneer at That's 4 Sure!

I go here a lot because it is the only game in town, but I hate it with a burning passion. Music is so loud you cannot hear yourself think, and the salepeople for the most part are not knowledgeable and don't care. There are a few great people there but they are the exception. The thing that makes me the most mad is the whole rebate program. What kind of joke is this? I have to send in a receipt for store credit... Or I could just go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a price match.

Main reason for the visit was to get special light bulbs. A courteous employee is names Ryan was very helpful in finding the right bulb. Also a Craig was awesome! He helped me figure out the perfect stand for hanging extra clothes. Ended up settling on one that could completely enclose to protect from hair and dust. Went there for a bulb and left after spending hundreds of dollars on items. If the staff wasn't so friendly and helpful I would have left right away but they will keep me coming back and spending my money there. Menard's is lucky to have employees like Ryan and Craig on their team.

Had 3 appliances delivered to my home I left my garage open for them I was a little worried as I was not there but they did an excellent job no dent on anything

It has almost everything you can think of in there, including genuine and helpful staff. I'll be shopping there regularly in the future.

Convenient place to get most of what you need to do basic construction, remodeling or landscaping.

Lumber and building materials seem to be priced similarly to other sellers (technical help is nothing like Bosch Lumber and others). Paint is cheaper than competitors (with more knowledgeable staff). Small items are far cheaper than ordering online.

You can get milk too, and avoid the mile long walk to the dairy section and back in Walmart .

Big downside is you have waste stamps playing the 11% rebate game, and rebate periods often end while you're in the middle of a project. (You can still get a rebate adjustment form to get a rebate for a while before/after a sale end).

Employees were outstanding! Assisted with everything I asked for or was looking for, after providing assistance in their department they took me to the next department and I continued receiving friendly, informative assistance Items that weren’t in stock, were promptly ordered, check out was fast friendly customer service and carry out was provided and I was informed of the 11% rebate on entire purchase.

Clean store with a lot of product in its proper place. Enough building materials to repair our leaking apartment garage roofs. Friendly check out staff and tool rental guy.

The Dickinson Menards is great, I always get great deals on quality products when I shop there.

Craig in hardware/garden center is a great asset to the team. He is always helpful, knowledgeable and professional whenever I need assistance. He is a quality and hard working employee that’s is always there to help the customers with what they are looking for.

Absolutely horrible service. I will never give them my business.

I purchased a kitchen light fixture from them online. It was NOT custom ordered or specially made. I simply clicked buy. A few days later I tried to cancel my order BEFORE I picked the item up. They charged me a 25% cancellation fee for restocking! Mind you, the item never left their store and was NOT opened or even touched.

The managers laughed when I called and said they "Could care less about my business" They made it very clear they have no regard or care for their customers.

Menard is the place to go, I learned about them when I lived in Michigan. Wish they would move down south.

Menards has knowledgeable associates that continue to impress me with there willingness to wear a smile. Must be something in the water at the Menards stores.

We've been shopping at this location a LOT lately while doing a remodel to our kitchen and bathroom. Some employees are very helpful and have great customer service, and some not. Yesterday, we purchased several bathroom items including tub, surround, vanity, medicine cabinet, lighting, etc. In the process of loading, we noticed we were charged for 2 tubs, 2 surrounds, 2 enclosures. I took my receipt to the front desk and was "helped" by Theresa. I explained what happened and she explained it back wrong. She didn't understand. I explained it again with the receipts on the counter and she said so you don't need these other items? No, I just don't need the 2 tubs, 2 surrounds, 2 enclosures. She again didn't understand. It wasn't difficult, she just wasn't listening. She got an attitude and threw her pen on the desk and went to refund the items that were double charged. The office manager, Cynthia witnessed this behavior. I have dealt with Cynthia several times and she has always been courteous and helpful. People like Theresa should not be at the "customer service" counter, when they don't want to offer "good" customer service. There's no need to get an attitude. This changed a 5 star rating to 3 - no tolerance for rude service.

Is another big hardware and household retailers in particular northern United States called Menards. It's set up is similar to Home Depot and Lew's and would classify it in between as far as cost goes. You can find almost every aspect of hardware, wood and other household needs. Menards also devoted a small section of grocery, not very big, just good enough for a essentials. I found Menards to be good in every which way and customer service is up to par of which you can find help faster than it's competitors H....Depot and Le...s however the prices lately were jacked up in accordance with the inflation of the economic situation.

It's Menards, they're always helpful, usually have what I need, and don't forget to grab a few groceries! Beats going to that other store!
