Still waiting on there rebate paper after 3-4 months. Don't think it will happen. I will keep going to Lowes to get my 5%. There not worth the wait Called store got the run around thru 3 diiferent people and maybe the person on here could check into it for me.Thanks

Do not depend on the website to accurately submit what you ordered. After some struggle with our furnace, I selected Menard’s website and entered the precise size of my furnace filter, received many search results, skimmed through them for the most suitable type, then ordered. I picked up the order after a combined hour in construction traffic only to see at home that I’d received the horribly wrong size. When I called the store (after far too much navigation for the phone number), they said they don’t even stock the size I need.

I won't be back. I'll go somewhere with a better return policy. I paid with my bank card. Spent a little over $50 this time. Brought back some instatrim I ended up not needing. It was unopened and I had my receipt. Instead of cash back on an $11 return, they put it back on your bank card which takes 3 - 5 business days. It came off my card instantly when I bought it. Do better! If it's less than a $100 bucks, have the option of cash back. Then the ditsy clerk that took my return said, "Is that okay?" I asked her if I had any other options? It's that or a Menards card and I already said I wouldn't be back. They have her in the right position. She really seemed to enjoy telling me that. I'll shop at Walmart where they give cash back if you have your receipt. I told another store that did this to me years ago that I wouldn't be back and I haven't. If you take something from me instantly, I expect it back instantly! Not in 3 - 5 business days. It's Saturday by the way which means about a week! Ridiculous! UPDATE: THAT WAS SATURDAY. IT'S TUESDAY AND STILL NOT BACK IN MY BANK ACCOUNT! IT'S NOT EVEN BEEN 3 BUSINESS DAYS YET. A RETURN SHOULD NOT TAKE THAT LONG IN THIS DAY AND AGE!

I was at Manairds in Richmond it's worse then Lowe's service workers standing around talking not worried about the customer. I seen it all over the store . I was looking at composite flooring and when I finally got someone over there he didn't have a clue .won't be back....service is awful

Ordered online with package handling included and I didn't know the procedure of how to pick it up as this was my first time. So I went to the lumber desk in the store and showed the guy my bar code and he said I had to pick some of my order in the store and some outside. That didn't sound right, so I went outside and showed my barcode to the girl at the gate and she said I had to go into the lumber yard and find all the boards myself. Once again it didn't sound right, so a guy on a forklift saw me struggling and finally told me where to go. Add to that these were supposed to be high end boards and they were all in poor condition except for one. I am done with Menards.

Allow me to describe my experience with online ordering. I ordered right at $2000 worth of interior baseboard trim and paid almost $250 to have it delivered ~45 minutes from the store. When the trim arrived, it was soaking wet. There was no attempt whatsoever to put it in plastic wrap or cover it with a tarp. In addition to that, about half of the trim I received was MDF and I had clearly ordered pine board. When I called the store, I waited on hold for about 20 minutes, and was transferred to four different people. Upon explaining my issue which included receiving the wrong product and receiving it soaking wet because of rain, I was promptly told by Thomas that they explicitly make no effort to plastic wrap any delivery items. He even went as far as to say that had I wanted it dry, I would’ve had to have come and wrapped it myself. He also tried to teach me that nobody else does that either (this is patently false because I’ve ordered many products from Lumbar King and Lowe’s who always make an effort with plastic wrap and/or a tarp). If in doubt of the accuracy of this conversation, Thomas did inform me when I told him how stupid of a notion that was that the call was being recorded, so I’m sure they have it available for you. He did arrange next day delivery replacement for the pine boards. That sounds great, but those pine boards were even more soaked than the previous day delivery for the same exact reason. I’m attaching a picture of the delivery person actually plastic wrapping the return MDF just to show how easy it would’ve been to do this to my delivery in the first place. Menards is definitely a neat store in person, but look elsewhere if you need building products delivered.

The store itself is fantastic! Almost every single worker there is very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about their job. Except for the one security guard with the long beard who is on a major power trip! If I see that he is working, I will literally turn around and go to another hardware store in town. He is extremely rude, abrasive and accusatory and should be given a different position if not fired from Menards.

I like this store but paying a cashier then bagging my own stuff while the cashier watches me feels like I'm doing half the cashiers job . Should just put in a kiosk so I can do the full job . I'm not sure if my customers would do half my job . Policy change needed

I've been going to Menards for many years. Their selection is large and generally of good quality. Prices have historically been better than the other large hardware chains, but recently I've noticed this is not as likely. Service is good.

Gonna be honest, I had never heard of this place, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I found it while searching for kennel panels. I was in need of several, and none of the local stores didn't have any and didn't want to help place an order. Keep in mind I was gonna be out several $1000 trying to get these panels lined up.
Menards of Richmond popped up, and they didn't have them in stock but could order and deliver to my home for a fee or to the store for free. It was a no-brainer to have these arrive at the Richmond location. Plus, I wanted to see what all they had. Placed my order and was updated within each step of the way with the process. They ended up arriving within a couple of days of my order. 2 days earlier than initiated. Pickup was a breeze and soooo simple. Went in the store with the family and grabbed some much needed household items along with some other things and was on our way. Everyone in this location was very friendly. I would give this store 100 stars if I could. Great job, Menards. Even though you are a couple hrs away, you are definitely on my must visit again list!

This is my favorite store, I drive an hour just to go there but this time the younger guy in the windows & door section wasn’t very helpful… I asked about some black windows that was returned or not picked up that are usually discounted & was told they don’t get discounts on them if there isn’t anything wrong with them, then when I wanted to get prices on ordering some log stairs was told he didn’t know any info & had never seen them even though they are on the website. Think maybe get some older mature people that are better with customer relations would be a good idea. All the other times I have been there they had good customer service….

Got a brand new lawn mower from there and it seized up the 2nd time using it. Yes oil was added. It happened 5 days before the 30 days where up on the exchange policy they have. They refused to exchange it after I drained the oil and gas and told me I had to go thru a local small engine repair place that they deal with and have and they would say if it gets exchanged or if it can be fixed. They also lied and said that even lowes and walmart do the same. I called the local walmart and lowes, they both said just drain the oil and gas and we can switch it out. Instead of just honering there exchange policy, they have led the customer on a wild goose chase to never get the exchange anyway. The mechanics at this place literally said they have only seen menards exchange 1 mower and good luck to us. Never shopping at this place again, they ruined it with horrible front management and customer service.

Decent store, almost TOO BIG if you've never been in one before. But the options are truly endless here at Menards. They seem to have several several employees..... that just walk around, I honestly haven't seen many actually doing ANY type of work though...
They have a few check-out lanes BUT EVERY time i have visited theres ONLY ONE REGISTER & ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE that I've seen actually working....

Ever since they opened this store I've been there a bunch and had nothing but good things to say. However, today after I checkout the security guard came up to me and told my wife to go away. He then states that concealment is a crime in the state of Kentucky, to which I'm like cool...He keeps going on and wont let me leave so I say I didn't steal or conceal anything, I'd like to speak to a manager, to which he replies he is one. I said okay well you wont get a actual manager and have accused me of a crime, so I'll call the police they can sort this out. At that point he threatens to trespass me from the store, for stating I would call actual law enforcement. I shared this with a few others and was surprised to hear similar stories. If you shop at Menards you're guilty until proven innocent. Really gross, disgusting and unprofessional behavior.

This place is amazing. Beautiful and clean and wonderfully faced. Everyone we have talked to was super nice and helpful. Especially Juan when we mentioned we were looking to start a business. Same with the young lady with long black hair and blunt bangs (I didn't catch her name) that works at the desk by the front door. Probably my new favorite store.

Have only been here twice . The second time was with an elderly gentleman , he immediately asked where an item was as soon as we walked in .
The most , kind , young , helpful man , assisted us immediately .
He not only took us through the store , but spent time , explaining the product to , my 93 year old friend !
We did not get his name , but I did get a picture of him !

Went there on 12/20/24 to pick up lumber and supplies for a job that I was doing on 12/21/24 and I went in and paid for everything and then drove around back to the lumber yard. I was told by a worker that he would get me some help, but that didn't happen and I had to find and load everything myself. Was not very happy with their service.

Be aware that if you are a dude who makes the mistake of passing through the same cashier line multiple times in the same day this location hires the type of people who will succumb to personal delusion and find this sufficient to have customers approached by security because the individual felt "very uncomfortable" by the horror of the same guy having to come back to get yet another plumbing part that he forgot and look in their direction while paying for said items.

They will stonewall at requests for the security footage while admitting there was zero indication of invasion of personal space, zero evidence of inappropriate conduct and zero indication entering that particular cashiers line was for any reason other than it being the closest one with the smallest line.

While I was assured I was not being banned from the location (because I didn't do anything but walk through a cashiers line) they refused to provide anything in writing that would protect me from any further interactions of this nature brought on by a another delusional member of staff.
I was expected to not use the individuals line in the future as if entering the location again wouldn't open myself up to yet another baseless claim from another employee after this situation and my apparent character were dragged through the employee gossip mill.

I will not be returning to this location for any reason as I no longer feel welcome nor do I have any indication the standards of evidence for management and security are anything of greater substance than "I feel like".

Some of the prices are better than Lowes and other places but I absolutely HATE their proceduresfor getting stuff out back, sheet rock, lumber, etc. Nobody has a clue where anything is located. Yeah it's labeled but still hard to find when a lot of it is upstairs.. so I had to get 2x10 floor joists and of course they are upstairs, so if you are alone, like I was, then you get to carry 1 board at a time around to the stairs and back to your truck, then repeat for however many you need and good luck getting the workers to help because they always seem to disappear at that point. They should have 3-4 people dedicatedto each outside building if that's how you have to get your stuff everytime.

I'm fine with loading my own but damn.... put it at ground level!!!

I bought some lumber at the Richmond Menards for the first time. The gentleman at the desk was very unenthusiastic at best. I told him what I needed and he printed off a ticket and said everything is in the warehouse. Nothing else. I asked for directions to get to get to the warehouse which probably should have clued him in that this was the first time I was doing this and was not familiar with the process but all he said was drive around by Walgreens. Here's what they don't tell you: it is completely self-service, some lumber is on a second level which requires you to carry lumber down steps, the location numbering system is not in sequential order so good luck deciphering the code to find the product you bought, the gentleman at the gate does not work for Menards and is security only and cannot help, and there is no phone or way to contact anyone for assistance. This is not just an anonymous online rant because I took the time to go into the store and give this same information to the store manager. This is just a "beware" of what you're getting into message so that you can make an informed decision on what to expect.

If I could give do no stars I would. I understand completely that there is alot of things inside the store in Richmond ky. But when u have purchased a item from that store multiple times then I'm pretty sure u know they carry it. My husband went in there to purchase chicken feed well scratch grain. Him and my son walked around where it was the last few times we have gotten from as well as have seen it. Of course there wasn't any. He went and asked a couple of people where it might be and was told by several people we don't carry that product. Well yes u do cause we have gotten it there before. When he finally after asking several others and was told we don't carry that someone took the time to look it up on the computer to find out yes they actually carry it and there is 40 bags somewhere. Between him and several others went looking trying to find it and it apparently no where to be fount. My husband left. I then called the front end manager cause it's don't give u the option to just talk to a manager got ahold of a female and explained to her what had happened. She did herself look it up and was like it shows we have it she then got ahold of the manager in that department to try to help find out where it was and loan and behold the pallet was fount. I then tried to explain to her that it was really embarrassing to not only my husband but my son that several of their employees was telling my husband that they don't carry the product he was looking for even though he had told them we have bought it here before. The manager then told me well ur husband didn't ask anyone that works inthat department. Well yes he did and they even said we don't carry it. My thing is if u work at any store even one where there is several computers throughout there what harm would it do for u to get on that computer and look up that product instead of telling a shopper WE DONT CARRY IT after being explained to that it has been purchased several different times from there. Don't look to good on the store when employees act like that and even more a manager saying that it was because my husband didn't speak to someone in that department is the reason he was told that. But it's all good my chickens now have feed from a different store that is also cheaper then menards price.

WOW this place is big! They have a HUGE amount of lumber, there lumber yard is the size of the building for most Blue or Orange box stores. There prices are cheaper on some hardware then the other 2 stores also. Oh they have a great selection of hardwoods and other lumber that is not mystery wood or pine/fir. To bad I have to drive to Richmond from Lexington to visit....

I have been in the store 3 times. Everyone is super helpful and great. However, the order pickup is joke i have ordered 2x once my mom picked it up and the second time i did myself. On the emails you receive it tells you to go to the yard. 1. Where is that? When you pull up to the store there is no directions where the yard is. 2. You are supposed to receive an email with the barcode. However when you pull up to the gate and you don't have one and you have to hit a call button that doesn't work or no one answers. When it miraculous rings and someone finally does answer shes ask what ypur issue is and once you tell her. She never gets back to you. When you find or get your email for the barcode it's so small that it doesn't scan until the booth guy smashes your phone Into the screen reader. 3. Once you get into the yard where do you go. There are no signs no directions, huge yard but ghost town for help. So you drive around looking like a crazy person until you see a yellow sign for pick ups but if you need glasses or don't read at 20/20 good luck seeing it. 4. When you find door 14 and pull into a spot you call a number no one answers. 5. When you decided to go in, you wait because there is no one available to help you. 6. After someone does show up they do not confirm who you are with an email, or id. They guess and hope they are right. Asked if I was riley which I was and said they would be right out. After waiting several more mins he came out said he needed to load it and put in my back floor board 7. Once loaded no one tells you to keep your paperwork out. So if like my last order it was in the hatch or this time filed away in my wallet. 8. No one tells you where the exit is. Driving around like another crazy person trying to find it. 9. Once you find the exit. They ask again for your paperwork which wasn't at hand because no one tells you to keep it out. And then they preceded to check your car like your a thief. I was under the impression that order picks up are supposed to be quick and easy and have been ANY other store I go to. And convenient for those that shop online. I didn't realize that menards took it to an extreme to the extent of a prison yard. I'm not one to complain but this was a bit excessive. And once I would understand but 2x do you all make a habit of it?

An update report: IF you know exactly what you want and where to find it…go in the store. DO NOT EVER, EVER even think about ordering a large pickup order! They will expect you to pickup piecemeal, WILL NOT contact you if they experience any problems. After 6-8 weeks, when you go to finish your pickup; they will tell you that they have you on camera ALREADY getting everything! So…they will accuse you (by saying the words or through insinuations) of being a thief and a liar! IF you are foolish enough to order large amounts: always have someone with you to video record your pickup, DEMAND two copies of your checkout receipt, DEMAND a manager to accompany you to the gate, put YOUR HANDS ON each item being picked up, and DEMAND signatures from the manager as well as the gate guard! These people CANNOT be trusted!!! Funny thing…when I demonstrated my willingness to view the tape, which soon became a demand to see the tape, my treatment changed dramatically! NOW, I was told that they were trying to help….DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! There is ZERO communication between departments either!

Spent 40 minutes trying to find different items. Tried to stop several people to ask for help, one actually stopped, looked at me and picked up a Jack’s Link beef stick and walked away!!! I always thought other stores’ customer service was pathetic…but at least they have some!!!

I’ve always heard Menards has the best paint. We previously paint our bedroom using an expensive paint from lows. The paint was thick and showed lines from the roller and ran the whole time we were painting! We came to Menards since they opened and requested assistance from the paint counter. There were plenty of associates to assist us (even with them being busy). They were the first ones to ask what we needed help with or help finding. They were all very knowledgeable in the types of paints, color suggestions and the location of all paint items. The manager Dustin, even recommended a paint that included a primer and was a great cost!!!! I was happy to use the Dutch boy forever paint. It went on so smooth and Dustin had previously used this specific paint to paint bedrooms! Our bedroom looks amazing and we are so happy to have a Menards in town!! I love coming here.

Been to Menards 2 times since it opened in Richmond. Very happy with our purchases. The store has a huge selection of almost any home improvement item you could need and the prices so far have beat what I pay at Lowe's even without the 11% rebate price. The service was great, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. It's a great atmosphere. Pick up on the lumber is a bit confusing the first time, but now that we know where to go and what to do.... it's very easy and convenient. Hope this store is around a long time and can maintain their low prices! Planning to go back very soon for more project lumber and possibly flooring for our whole house! Highly recommend that you check out Menards first for all your home remodel needs!

My wife and me have been there 4 or 5 times, their employees ask us do you need any help, that's one thing that I really like about Menards they have friendly employees. I just wish that London Kentucky would get a Menards they have just about anything you would be looking for. Just a few items that I have looked for they didn't have but the majority they do have and then some.

The store definitely has a wide variety of supplies. Some things are a really good deal, and others have the same value as other stores. The store has 1 little car buggy for children, which helped keep my two little ones entertained while shopping!
