Menards - Grand Forks, ND

I deliver a load there on 04 24 and in my way out the guard on duty was Cathy white she was one of the best very professional and very course great personality alot of these guards can take lessons from her I don't do this very often thank you so much cameron

I will start by saying i live in Manitoba Canada I was at menards last year as doing renovation to my kitchen talking to a nice gentleman In Kitchen cupboards and he sold me latch less drawer openers which first i was hesitant about buying as not sure will fit second because living in Canada not easy to return cause I don’t travel there more than once a year he was confident that no doubt would fit second as long as kept receipts can return believing him I purchased but going to checkout along with other purchases I verified again about return policy as being from Canada she assured me that I would get money back a year later went to return product as didn’t work with my cupboards the person behind refunds informed me that after ninety days only give in store credits even thought I told her not good for me as come from Canada. Plus how long is in store credit good for as that was never mentioned . There was no reasoning with her as only kept saying that is the policy. I’m sorry but any company dealing with with customer know there is a exception I’m very disappointed as I found many things there i like to purchase but now knowing no refunds and what else would they tell customer to make a sale. Thinking twice about purchasing In Future and no longer recommending menards as a reliable company to deal with.

I attempted to purchase a couple 2x4s with the rest of my items. Saw the signs around the lumber yard that said to either carry out or drive around. I thought it'd be easier to just buy the boards then drive around to get them. Well, once I got to the gate I was turned away and told I needed to get some kind of special receipt because my receipt wouldn't work. I went back in to just get a refund because I didn't want to drive back around again to get the boards.

I felt like the manager was essentially accusing me of theft because she insisted that she had to review video of me not getting the boards. She kept saying it was policy, but I don't care, it still felt like I was being looked at like a common thief.

Lowe's has a much better system. Buy the boards, take the receipt to the lumber yard, load your boards. It's that simple, no need for any special receipts that you have to go to customer service to get.

Oh my sweet lord of home renovations!!! This store makes Canadian costcos look like corner store!!!! There is groceries here. Everything and anything you could want will might be in here.

On one hand, I like Menards for the selection of things, they do have more than Lowe's in some cases. On the other hand, it seems like they don't want business when they charge $110 to deliver something 2 miles, plus $50 to bring it in the house. Ridiculous! Makes me think that they just don't want to work, but it could just be really bad policy. I'll be sure to check Lowe's and Amazon before I go back.

Menards is a good store with a great location. It's very easy to get to and lies right in the center of town. Service is good, I've had employees help me find items before without much difficulty and they can look up the location of things if need be. The layout is just like every other Menards I've been to, so navigating isn't difficult.

On a side-note, this location has a surprisingly good selection of specialty pop in their foodstuff section. I always grab a case of something when I stop by.

I'm honestly scratching my head as to why Menards is only rated 4.1 stars on Google because my recent visit was fantastic! I picked up a couple of small carpets this week and I have to say, the customer service blew me away. The guy helping me out was super friendly and we had some great chats while he was cutting the carpets. He really knew his stuff and even went out of his way to help me find this mesh-fence thingy I was curious about. All in all, shopping there was a breeze and I left feeling pretty darn pleased. Definitely worth checking out!

My girlfriend and I enjoy shopping here. We almost always find what we need and always some things we don't need. During the summer we almost always buy plants.

My favorite place..From hardware and building materials to groceries and about anything else you can think of..This place has it all!

I absolutely love these stores. I wish we had them in the South. They offer so many unique products. You can not walk through without finding something that you "need".

Went there for siding took over a hour and a half they didn’t have the siding they say is on stock had to get D4 siding and had fun looking for it very disorganized and found the j channel all the while they don’t have starter strips how do you do siding with no starting strip no labels on any siding and they obviously don’t know what’s in there yard at all

I was in the Grand Forks store on Friday, September 22, and needed assistance with what I wanted to purchase. A young man named Elliott offered to assist me. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the various types of product I was looking for. He stayed with me until my order was completed. I thanked him, however, thought I would let the in-store manager also be aware of the type of employees that work for them. Unknown to me, when I asked for the in-store manager, it happened to be Elliott. In my opinion, he is a fantastic individual to represent Menards and when one becomes available should be given the opportunity to manage his own store.

Great store and location. Right up front a lot of impulse buys at great prices. Bought some jarred mushrooms for $1.49 each, cheaper than Walmart for the same brand PA Dutch. They got everything here. Needed some help, the two gentleman we asked pointed us in the right direction. The man that checked us out was friendly and funny.

I need a support group for how often I shop here. Something like a Menards sponsored AA for tools… Great customer service on returns!

Not impressed. Normally never have any issues with product. Purchase 27 sheets of OSB. Building counter did not tell me that someone had just came in and purchased all OSB that they had in stock. Drive all the way around to the backyard to spend a half hour before then tell me that they are sold out. Then to go back in Wait in the line for a refund. Ask to speak to a store manager and they didn't even have the time to come up and talk with me. I am normally a very patient person but this was too much. And not one apology from any of them.

Great place to go if you want a Place that doesn’t value its customers safety, broke my arm in the store falling on the floor, employees watched and heard this happen offered no help didn’t care, then menards calls me says they don’t care and won’t even help with the medical bills. Will never go there again they don’t care about customers safety or just in general

The deals aren't bad, especially with the 11% mail in rebate. That being said, their in-house brand of appliances (Criterion) are absolute junk. It can also be difficult to find someone to help you in the store if you can't find something in particular. Overall 3 stars, as they're about average.

Pictures say 1000 words, I understand mistakes happen BUT the small cabinet was wrapped in between the others so someone knew it was damaged but still proceeded to wrap them up. On the other hand Nate was awesome at fixing the issues for me quick 5 stars for Nate!

Normally the Grand Forks, ND Menards is great. I don't normally have any problems. However, my last transaction was disheartening. I ordered a countertop dishwasher online to be delivered to the store. My order was 4 days late to begin with and then when I get there to pick it up they can't find it. I waited in my truck for probably 30 minutes. Then I get home and unbox it and it's the wrong color. Now I don't want to return or exchange it because who knows how long that will take. Just disappointed.

Black Friday so it was too busy but generally had a good shopping experience. Would recommend to others although sometimes store employee help can be hard to find.

My time at Menards was awesome. I went in to get Evergreens which they have fresh ones and some Evergreen planters. Also I went to purchase paints and paint tape and it was very helpful everyone at Menards was in a good mood and I enjoyed my time. I was just going to run in and run out and I ended up spending about 40 minutes there purchasing a lot of Christmas decoration items. I like Menards far more than I do Lowe's

Oh my gosh ! Our Amaryllis flowers we bought for Christmas are blooming like crazy ! Wow. We love MENARDS!! They sent me a birthday gift

..decent prices and a checkout lane that has a live human ... ready to help you.

Everything was really good and then one of your employees came up to me and helped me out with my door knobs and locks and I really appreciated his help he was really nice to talk to.

10/2024: Nothing makes a customer feel appreciated more than bagging my own shit from your store.. shame on you.

It is a reality that I have to go into Menards. (Never makes me happy)
Knowing your stuff beforehand- makes it easier because I seldom receive assistance from employees, and it's a bit and miss of ppl having knowledge of the products as well as thinking outside of the box.

Great place, some employee's are fantastic, others don't want to help you at all. Major thanks to the older gentleman who got me to the aisle I needed.
