Service, knowledge of products is outstanding!! No comparison to the other supply stores in the area. The employees ask if you need help and are always available for assistance. I enthusiastically recommend going to Menard’s.

There’s a great store had everything a person would need for their home and everything else. The customer service was very professional and they had knowledge around pretty much every product I asked about definitely a great experience!

Great store, very helpful employees. Steven who was working in Kitchen and appliances was extremely helpful today. He was polite and waited patiently as I got my roommate to text my fridge model so he could assist me for a water filter!

I want to start out by saying that I think it is ridiculous that you go online to buy a battery and have it shipped and I was going to have them shipped from the Barboursville Wva Menards and when you put in estimate shipping it comes up to like over 730.00 to ship 2 batteries and there being shipped to the same state. 2 batteries were around 200 something for a grand total over a 1,000. I mean what are they made out of gold. I'd love for someone to explain to me why is it so high for shipping in the same state and in the United States. That just shows you that anymore it's going to cost you a arm and leg just. Very disappointed in this from Menards. I live in the southern part of West Va and it really wasn't being shipped that far. I just don't get it. Hopefully someone can explain that to me. I took a picture of the check out price I wish I could post it for everyone to see .

You all need to do better,this is the 3rd time,I had to find my own lumber and drive around in yard more than once"and load everything myself!!not cool!!you all need have people in the lumber yard ready to help get the customers loaded and on there way, atleast give a discount if no one will ever be available to help,2-18-2025

We ordered fence in November of 2024. All the parts wasn’t there so they took our money and supposedly ordered the material. The material was supposed to be in by Thanksgiving of 2024. Now they say it won’t be in until February 28 of this year. The fence is fully paid for but we haven’t received any of the materials.

The good thing is they had everything in stock that I needed. The bad thing is no one was able to clearly tell me where to pull my truck to pick up the items, when I finally was able to load the items the crew did not want to load them the way that I wanted them that would have been safer so it took me 30 minutes trying to get it loaded the way I wanted it done only to have to go back and do it the way I ask them to do it in the first place. I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary; I was purchasing French doors and had them loaded onto my trailer but the staff wanted to leave the French doors on the pallet with it standing straight up on the trailer and said I wouldn't even need to use ratchet straps. This was completely unsafe and I was not willing to risk it and asked them to lay it down but that would mean they would have to take it off the pallet.

I just watched a video clipthat Cledus T Judd posted. He's got to be funny, it's his job. But he was telling how a guy stopped him on the way to check out and told him to wait. Then came back with a bag and told him to use it and save 15%. Lol
He was much appreciative just like I would've been. Because employees giving customers excellent service, is hats to find now days.
So, if I lived there, I'm sure I'd be a regular customer too.
All I can say, I sure wish we had a Menards in my town or nearby. Please Build 1 in Charlottesville VA!

Cledus may have looked like any average customer, but he's a funny entertainer, good country boy. Pretty sure be could afford his paint without the 15% discount, but that was still awfully nice of Richard to be so thoughtful!
Keep it up Richard, and teach all the employees to give the same great customer service!

Saved more money at Menards! Looking for Rock Salt/Ice Melt. Menards had the best price compared to the other big box home improvement stores!

Great selection. Have about anything you could possibly want. Friendly and helpful service. Restrooms are spotless. Wish they would build a menards closer to Beckley, wv.

On Nov. 4, 24 my husband and I visited Maynard’s in Barboursville, WV. I have a fractured foot and needed one of your riding shopping carts. We waited for over an hour at the check out lanes hoping to get one. After checking with the employees we found out they only had two! I couldn’t believe a store that size only had two. Maynard’s you can do better than that!

Don't recommend getting carpet or vinyl cut,walked around found 3 employees and was told only one person can cut carpet hes over there ...well walked back over there and couldn't find anyone. 5 mins later my wife says find any one ...no maybe you will have better luck ..so she goes to tha 3 employees and ask...well they call some one to come cut carpet..great we getting some where ..guy comes to cut my carpet says give me a few ill be there ....ok still no problem I'll wait ...25min later guys shows up and says...im going to guy this guy behind u 1st even though u have waited longer he only needs a runner ......wow really .....what happened to wait your turn ....

Always preferred Menard's over Lowe's, Home Depot or any other competitors! Travel 2 hours 2 shop Menard's over 15 mins to Lowe's!

Menards is a Lowe’s & Wal-Mart combined with an 84 Lumber! Everything you could imagine for your home & garden! Huge upstairs area with lighting fixtures and more! Appliances -Cabinetry-Plumbing -Pet needs-Grocery -Snacks-Lumber Yard and huge gardening area! Seasonal decorations updated early to get ahead of all your projects! Staff is helpful with anything you ask. Automotive area and windows. Some toys for the kiddos. Wall & plastering needs. Right off the interstate ramp! Close to eateries and gasoline! Other shopping across the way! Huge parking lot. Self bagging area and attendant scans your purchases.

Menards is my one-stop shop for all my home improvement needs. They consistently have a wide selection of products in stock, so I can always find what I'm looking for, whether it's a specific type of lumber or a random plumbing part. If I ever get stuck or have a question, the staff at Menards is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They're always happy to point me in the right direction or offer advice on a project. Overall, I highly recommend Menards for a great selection of products and friendly, supportive staff.

I have always enjoyed Menards but I must tell you today I had the best customer service experience ever. I had an issue with some carpet I had purchased a few months back. After calling Mohawk I was directed back to Menards? Robert the manager of Floor Coverings instructed me on how to proceed and when I got to the store today, I met Robert and he instantly took control of the situation and resolved it immediately. I have never in my 68 years been treated so well. Thank you!

Don't go to this store if you are old or have difficulty walking. They have only 1 handicap cart. Shop Lowes. They have plenty. I just can't walk and the management here doesn't care if senior citizens or handicap folks can shop here. Very poor management. Don't even attempt to shop here. I drove 50 miles only to realize I'm just too handicapped.

This is the nicest best store I've ever been to!!! Customer service is the best I've ever seen!! I don't know who owns this store but I want you to know that your employees...I'm talking about every employee I came into contact with in the 1 1/2 I was there!! If I asked a question, they would drop whatever they were doing and gave me their full attention!! As I was leaving I told the lady at the service desk that it shows how much everyone loves their job and it must be a great owner who runs this company!!! She said yes it was a wonderful place to work!!! I applaud this store and employees!! We had a great experience there!!! We need a Menards near Ashland!!! You are so superior over Lowe's!!! They run if you need something. Or point and say I think it's over there!!! I just can't say enough!! We will definitely be back!!

Do NOT go here to get your propane tanks filled. You’ll be treated rudely and charged a $5 service fee on top of everything. You’ll wait outside in the cold and no one will ever come to fill it. Ace Hardware is just 2 miles from here - doesn’t charge a fee to fill your tank and they show up gladly.
Please don’t ask me to contact the store manager. I tried calling the store for information and was disconnected at the end of a long recording.

I went to Menards because it's basically my favorite one stop shop. They always have what I need. I went one evening to get 2 propane bottles filled, and the girl filling them refused my tanks, even though I had my tanks filled there many times before. I told her that I really needed them filled because my furnace had gone out and it was too cold in my house for my wife and 2 kids. I believe she was being lazy and just flat out did not want to, and was dead set on saying no every which way she could. Severely disappointed with the service. I have not been back to Menards since this incident. I now use Tractor Supply exclusively for my propane needs. They filled my bottles with no issue.

Was very disappointed that they didn't have a motorized chair available. They only carry two and I feel they should have four. I was in excruciating pain by time my husband and I finished shopping!

Menards is a great experience. They have just about everything. Prices very good. Staff very helpful. I ordered online. Then went to pickup. Very smooth operation. Love the store. You will too.

Update: The manager of the location has been extremely helpful. After my comment, I was notified and given his email. I sent him the comment that I left. He investigated the interaction of when I spoke with customer service and looked up the receipts. He made sure that I was taken care of and returned my money. He has been more than helpful. Therefore, I have changed my rating to a 5. Just remember, when you order something online, you may get charged a restocking fee. So, be prepared. Thank you, Joel, for being so helpful.

DO NOT order anything online. We saw a fireplace in the store that we wanted but did not have our truck. A couple of days went by and we remembered the sale was ending. So, we jumped online and bought it. Then a few days later, we were in the store again and saw a different one that was more than perfect for our space. We went to customer service to find out what we could do since we had not taken possession of the first one. We were told we could return the first one, no problem. What they neglected to tell us is that there was a $150 restocking fee! I argued that it didn't say that online and the rep said that it does but it is in super fine print. What a horrible practice! After this purchase, they won't get our business again and it's sad because we are preparing to remodel our kitchen, gameroom and laundry room. I am super angry if you can't tell. Thanks for nothing! We have been shopping here since they opened. Oh well, we won't anymore.

Alright so...

At first I was impressed by the store. Such a massive store. Very clean and prices are competitive on many things. It's honestly a one stop shop for just about anything you could possibly need. We walked through the entire store and everything seemed to going fine.

Then we got to the checkout...

The cashier that rang us up looked like she hated her life. I then looked around and saw that all the other employees seemed to have the same look. My wife attempted to express to the cashier that we've never been there before and wasn't sure about the checkout process, she literally looked at my wife and said absolutely nothing. No smile, not acknowledgment, nothing. I was baffled. She honestly may have ruined the store for us for now.

I'm not sure what the deal with the employees is, but it should be looked into. Employee happiness and satisfaction is key in business. If your employees are taken care of then customers will likely be taken care of as well.

As our custom built home was being planned, we spent a great amount of time in local big box stores making choices, comparing prices, and talking with the "experts." Much of that time was filled with excitement and on occasion, even frustration. Overall, it was a positive experience, especially when it came to shopping at Menards in Barboursville, WV. On one occasion we must have appeared ready to throw in the towel and were quickly spotted by a very competent employee named Rob. He went beyond what we could have expected by setting his phone alarm and escorting us to various departments to meet with his most knowledgeable employees. After two hours of discussions and decisions Rob returned to us to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and well equipped to move toward the completion of our home. It wasn't until we were leaving that Rob gave us his card which read "Rob Ludwig, General Manager." So thank you Rob for sharing your time and talent and for caring about your customers. We appreciate you!

I have said for years no one is worse than home depot. Today Menards has proven me wrong waited for help in the lumber yard. Had to call the store manager to get some one. Then they asked if I needed help loading my 24 boards. I'm disabled on oxygen. Need less to say it will be my last Menards visit!

I really like the variety of items at Menards. The prices are good. Employees are knowledgeable on the products and very easy check outs with usually no wait. A wonderful perk,are the mail in rebates! We take advantage of the rebates and save even more. We love it.

Out of all the 3 large home improvement stores in the area, this one is in last place. My preferred place to shop is Lowes as they give a veteran discount, as does Home Depot, but they make you jump through some hoops to qualify. Menards does not, and the 11% discount events are a joke as it is a mail in rebate that you in-turn can only use in the store. They do have a bit of everything here, even a food section. The prices are on par or a bit higher than Lowes and Home Depot. It's not a bad place to shop, it's just more beneficial for me to shop elsewhere since I am a disabled veteran, and saving money is important. For the everyday citizen, I definitely say give this place a visit. They have just about a bit of everything.

My first visit. This is what a store is supposed to feel like. There's a map at the front door for people to take with them. There were actual employees roaming through the store AND they asked if I needed assistance. The guy in plumbing knew about plumbing. I will gladly drive the extra distance past the other two major hardware stores to continue shopping here.

Very nice place helpful staff for what I needed things were laid out and easy to find... Pick up and delivery department very easy to work with.
