Customer service at Lowes in general is really lacking... Associates seem as though they are trained to look at the floor and walk away when they run into a Customer. Asheboro and Sanford are the worst I've been in. Walked around asheboro for 45min never had anyone speak. I bought one item order everything else online. (Not from lowes) need to open a Home Depot and give them some competition...

Giving this a 2 star because the lowes employee deserves more for his help but the zero stars your delivery company deserves. You are a major company losing respect because of a terrible 3rd party delivery service who shouldn't even be in business.
Wife sat home all day waiting on a delivery only to find out the driver drove by our house took a picture of our front yard and said they couldn't deliver because we have dogs. My wife sitting inside the house but driver Didn't call, didnt pull in the driveway or anything just left. Then when we call the disrespect and lies we get from the rxo delivery company just made it even more furious.

Lowes do better!!!! and if you plan to be in the delivery buiness find reputable companies to align yourself with.

This place is a joke! I watched a cashier lie to a customer about being able to do a phone order. Have heard employees trash-talking others while standing near customers. Others having inappropriate conversations near customers. One employee tried to tell me Lowe's makes no profit on lumber. The Vets that work there are always helpful and most have a basic knowledge of their area. Many of the employees have no basic knowledge of construction or home improvement. Many wander aimlessly and when asked for help don't know how. The pro desk is of no use half the time as they just middle around looking busy so they don't have to help anyone. We have literally spent 2 hours up there trying to do a phone order. Somehow, there was no one on shift that knew how. They need to update their carts as most barely work. The lumber is below sub-par. So much so that they are a running joke. You are better off going to Talbert's for lumber, better quality and prices.

Ordered landscape materials on Friday, June 6, 2025 for next day delivery. Only part of the order was delivered. We called spoke to David at approx 10am on Saturday June 7, to ask if the rest of the order could be delivered asap. David told us no and that it would be delivered on Monday. Called and spoke.to Nikki. It was just excuse after excuse. Nikki also told us that the order would be delivered on monday. After all that, the order was still NOT delivered. Upon calling back on Tuesday morning, we were told by Nikki that the order had been returned.. The level of incompetence and lack of customer service at this location is astounding!!! We never returned the order as it was never delivered.!!. We will NEVER do business with this store again!

Ordered a new washer and dryer not long ago. Dryer was fine but the washer was badly damaged out of the box. Returned the washer and they had no replacement in the store. Opted to have one shipped. That washer was also very damaged. Ended up leaving with the floor model that day and many wasted hours. Fast forward a year and we buy a zero turn mower. Within the first 20 days both belts break and there is a fuel/air intrusion issue along with many loose bolts and some not even put on. Customer service is always busy and never any actual help. For any big purchases I advise you to go elsewhere as quality is a big issue and customer service tries to brush everything off to the manufacturers so they don't have to deal with it.

Was treated like I was a complete idiot today by an associate when attempting to purchase a ceiling fan. When asking a quite reasonable question to the associate (that worked in that particular department) if it would be possible to see the fan of choice in action. Her response to me was rather rude! Arguing that there was to many fans to do so. I then asked what was the purpose of setting up a demonstration model? Her arguement was come on look at all these fans in disbelief! Her response made me feel as though I was an idiot for asking! I mean come on… a blind person could see that they are all proportioned with enough space in between & at different levels. End result we did not buy a fan merely because of the customer service along with lack of knowledge on both ends. Just curious what the stores GMV is in this dept? Would suggest a much higher generation would be made if associates were paid by commission rather than an hourly wage… just saying! Also, the associate was not knowledgeable at all on any product. Which, wasn’t even my complaint! Anyways, coming from a fellow brand owner & product promoter. And yes, Wikipedia agrees fans are setup & running for demonstration in most Lowe’s.

Lowe's Kitchen Counter Top Customers Beware!!!

I'm rehabilitating a rental property and needed new laminate counter tops for the kitchen, just a small job. Visited the Asheboro Lowe's and met with a representative in the kitchen area. I provided specific and detailed measurements of the counter and back splash spaces. The representative used these measurements to quote a price of $1,380 +/- including removing the existing counter tops, removing the sink, and installing a new sink. The representative strongly suggested that I go ahead and buy the new sink which I did. The representative sqid that the installer would be calling me to inspect the proposed job and schedule an inspection date.

The installer came out about 2 days later. Upon inspection he stated the representative miscalculated the job cost and it was going to be about $500 higher. I asked about removal of the old sink and installation of the new sink and he said that he did not do any plumbing. When I explained that the representative said that the price included removal of the sink and installation of the new one the installer laughed and asked which store I had visited. When I said Asheboro the installer said "That figures they told my last three jobs that plumbing was included in the price when it is not."

At this juncture I feel that Lowe's owes me about $900.00. $500.00 for miscalculated job, $200.00 for removal of the old sink, and $200.00 for installation of the new sink.

Unbelievable customer service, they were so helpful! Especially Frank, he went above and beyond to help us in every way! I’m not sure how much money he makes but he needs a raise no matter what.

Spent 20 minutes on hold, hung up and called back and Spent another 20 minutes on hold to not talk to a single person....before I can ever say anything, the guy would say lowes customer service and immediately put me on hold. All I wanted to know is if my pickup order would be ready in the morning since evidently they couldn't get around to fulfilling the order on the day they said they would. I called 2 hours before closing, my guess is they didn't want to answer phones even though it's still 2 hours until the store closes. If you want to return an item or need customer service good luck getting them on the phone, I hope my order does turn out alright because it's evidently going to be a hassle trying to return something if I need to. I've seen multiple comments saying the same thing about yalls customer service department, so I'm guessing the same reason someone can't pick a phone up is the same reason my order isn't ready. I wouldn't be so mad if I hadn't just spent so much money through this lowes. I hope corporate sees this review not that they'll do anything, it's not because your busy, you have automatic checkouts now and you have half your staff standing up at the front talking to each other. It's a shame what this place has become over the years, but yall will keep thriving because you don't have any home improvement stores in the area to compete with

worst lowes anywhere went in for 5 4x4x12 posts took a 1/2 hour to check out. not an over statement . if the check out kid was any slower he may have been faster walking backwards
and everything always empty and never any kind of kelp me and another customer ended claiming ladder to get what we needed . dread coming this lowes always somthing

Love, love the Asheboro store! I'm in and out of there plenty of times, and EVERYONE has always been helpful and kind!
What takes ne a back is how they always go out of their way to help you. If you ask an associate where something is, they will stop what they're doing and walk you to where the item you were looking for.
A quick tip...if you look on their site online, find the item... look for what AISLE and BAY they are on and go to the store and get it yourself.
The aisles and bays are posted on each aisle. If not, grab a sales associate.
Easy peasy.

Well after my husband called up there, he was wanting to know if they had something and the price. He was transferred 3 times before they hung up on him! So we went up there and they didn't have it but it would've saved us the trip before it's raining here today. So they got people working and they answered the phones and if you get someone on the phone that doesn't want to do their job you'll get transferred until someone hangs up the phone on you. So good luck with that!!

I purchased an LG Washer Tower and specified to the salesperson that I needed an LP powered dryer. I received a regular gas dryer. Lowe’s will not correct their mistake. I contacted Lowe’s when I got the dryer to let them know they delivered a gas dryer and that I had specified I had LP. I went there and the manager told us they had no serviceman to even convert the dryer and make it LP and I was told my the manager to fix it myself. I am not an LP or gas or any other kind of serviceman and am not able to do that nor should I have to pay for that since Lowe’s made the mistake! I have tried to get them to take it back and reorder the correct dryer I had asked. Now, today, again, I ask them to repair or replace it and now the manager tells me they can’t take it back because it’s 30 days past the purchase date that they’ve let lapse so I’m stuck with a washer/dryer tower that I cannot power and use because Lowe’s won’t reorder or convert. I think I know what kind of power I had when I ordered it because I’ve lived here 30 years and never had a problem before. They’ve jerked me around for weeks and are now are claiming I’m past a return policy date. Beware when ordering from Lowe’s.

Went in and found an item that was clearance. Tried to get help, pushed button. Hardly anyone in store, waited over 20 mins and no one came. So finally went looking for someone to help. Found someone walking around in the back of the store. She seemed like she didn't have time, very unhelpful, didn't come over to see item and wouldn't even consider selling the display when asked if that was an option. So we had no choice but to continue our search elsewhere. Employees were just standing around and chitchatting up front. Hopefully it was just an off day for them, but overall very different from the other Lowes stores I have visited recently where the employees went above and beyond to help us.

12/3/2024 I called Asheboro Lowe’s customer service serveral times each time a girl answered and immediately put the line on hold. I waited 20 minutes and she never came back to the phone. I hung up and called back again and the same girl answered and put me on hold again I waited another 15 minutes and she never came back to the call. I did this again a third time hung up and called back and she did the exact same thing waited 22 minutes the 3rd time and she never came back to the call. It’s very clear she is doing this on purpose. If she does not want to talk to customers she needs to be removed from customer service. I am currently contacting corporate about this incident. I have screenshots of how long I was on hold each time. Poor poor poor customer service.

Multiple issues over the last couple years, ranging from poor service (rude staff in appliances) to placing an order online that was not filled after 6 hours (typically 3hours max). Stopped in to pick up anyway and not even started on it (only one item - a door).‍♂️
Hard to do business here.

I bought the wrong trailer part. Lost the packaging had my receipt. Let me do an exchange . Lady at customer service was very nice friendly no problems.
