This store has just about everything you need to make your home improvements plus more. Just make sure your credit score stay at a "A" one standard, if not, they will close your account and take away your credit card like they did me.

Hopefully you can find what you need without any assistance because the only time you can find someone to help you is when you get to the checkout. Sadly not because they really want to help but to make sure you're not stealing. Heaven help you buy something big that needs a bag because they only have one size small.

I shop here often, and always seem to be helping other shoppers because workers usually seem too busy to help customers. Being a veteran, I do appreciate the discount.

As past contractor and now doing a full house remodel, i have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at Lowes in general. This one in particular is terrible. Aisles and stock is a mess. I went for a few windows, which this store was only one within 45mins of me that had them, they had four windows, i needed three. One had broken glass, another had damaged screen, packaging all a mess, all had mangled nailing flanges from being jammed in rack. There was two guys in window section, great guys, very helpful, they took two bad windows and made one decent one, so i was willing to buy the three and i could repair myself, as i didnt want to travel 45 mins to another place but was, hoping to get a little money off for my trouble. I went to Lisa in Customer Service and she would not adjust price at all. She told me Kingsport and other places around have a few in stock to go there. The icing on the cake was, the windows in Abingdon were priced on website at $299 each but were out of stock. Here, they were priced $354 because they keep in stock and she wouldnt even give me price of $299, for damaged windows! Then tells me, they dont sell alot of these size windows…She said if i dont want to drive 45mins away to another store, to wait until they get more in, as they did order more and should be there 5-7 days or so. So, frustrated me just left windows there, and left. They lost a $1000+ sale that day. Ill get windows somewhere else and i will keep buying from Lowes, but not one in Bristol. The Abingdon one is great! I hope management improves their customer service at this store and organizing it better

I will never be using lowes for any of my companies. Materials i spent over 15 grand on decking materials and vinyl fencing, the 2 bys were split Huge c cups twisted the worst quality of wood I've ever seen in the last 10 years of owning a construction company
on top of that i bought trex decking, multiple pieces has huge gouge marks in them.
Also vinyl fencing from them. That was delayed approximately 2 weeks upon the date. It was supposed to be delivered Overall, horrible experience and I will never spend my money at any of these locations ever again. IF YOU WANT QUALITY MATERIALS, TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. 'CAUSE THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GET IT. YOU'LL BE SADLY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR QUALITY

The last time I went to the store it was a nightmare. People care more about going home than actually serving customers.
I grabbed what I needed and I'm used to using self-checkout so I just take a picture of the item numbers. I get up to checkout and I give her the item numbers and I tell her three of each and she wants to keep grabbing my items I said I do not want a bag and she still kept grabbing my items I had to move the items away from her just so she would stop trying to grab the stuff I'm trying to buy.
She did not ask for my rewards number and I would have to go to customer service and do a return and repurchase again. Ridiculous.
I go over to customer service and there is a girl sitting on a stool and even after walking up asking if she could help me she wanted to serve me by sitting on a stool and I said can you please get up and help the customer and she had an attitude from the get-go.
I asked to speak to management about the first worker and she's trying to turn her head as if she's not being obvious telling them hurry hurry hurry as if I'm the problem. When a customer walks up you get up and help them. You don't act like you don't want to be there today. You are on the clock, you were at work, and you need to do your job.
I had the same issue of her trying to grab everything constantly and wanting to play with my items running them in her hands and I said can I please have my stuff back and I sat them down on the counter and she kept wanting to grab them and I said you need to leave them alone.
Your workers don't need to stand there and handle our stuff the entire time and play with our items. So management was up there at this point and I said why does she keep trying to grab my items. She has the receipt there's three of each she doesn't need to constantly keep picking everything up. She threw up her hands and backed away denying me services but I'm actually having disability symptoms from the first worker. She just thinks I'm being rude. No matter what your perceptions might be on a consumers behavior you sign an employment contract not to act that way towards consumers.
So Cody had to step in and help me because she walked away and refused to do her job treating me like I'm the problem. Telling Cody on the phone hurry hurry as if I'm being an irate customer. No I told you to get up off your stool and take care of the customer like you should be doing.
Cody did a great job helping me find big galvanized nails and did a good job helping me at customer service but these other two associates were a nightmare.
There is some of us out here who don't think that you need to be handling everything that we buy. That's why I use self-checkout so I can get rid of the human element and do things myself. Home Depot only has a self-checkout open before close much more efficient than associates who forget to ask reward numbers and sssociates who want to have attitudes. I used to be against the self-checkouts because they were taken away jobs but as a person with mental health and developmental disabilities they spare me from humans and their attitudes and thinking that they have to touch everything.
So I don't know why these 2 Associates felt the need to handle our items and the first associate wanted to do the quick ID and I said I have the item number here and I gave her the item numbers but she still wanted to grab my stuff. The self-checkout that I would have been using isn't going to grab my stuff, it's not going to ask for a quick ID code, it's going to ask for my rewards, it's going to let me put in the item numbers. I could have checked out faster with a self-checkout than having to go through two different associates. The self-checkout doesn't feel the need to constantly play with the items that I am buying.
I don't care if you guys are about to close you need to make your closing register a self-checkout.
If a customer wants to do it at a certain way then let them do it especially an autistic person like me. I have a routine.

Went in to get some exterior doors. The two fellas in the door and window department were very helpful. Was able to check out in that area and one of them came outside to help us load up the doors. Excellent service.

I will never go back to this Lowe’s again at exit 5 in Bristol VA. I have a friend that’s a double leg amputee and took him to Lowe’s one night so he could get whatever it was he needed. While he was getting his items I was browsing the aisles looking for CLEARANCE tags (I do this at EVERY store I go to) it wasn’t long before an employee passed by me and asked if I needed help and I told him no thank you and that I was just looking for any good sales. About 4 aisles down the same employee walked by and said something “friendly” but I can’t recall what he said. Skip over to the pet section and the SAME male employee randomly walks to exactly where me and my 6yr old son are looking at the neat pet items…”so do you have cats and dogs at home” is what he asked me. “That’s the reason we are looking here” I said with growing anger as I realize I’m being watched. First off what business was it of his if we have pets. (I have 2 cats of my own and another cat and dog that I consider mine, but they belong to a friend) so I found some camo hoodies that were discounted really cheap and I went and told my friend about them (he was looking at hoodies when we first entered the store) and he asked me to go get him one. We walk past another employee that’s been staring at me and she started talking to my son asking him what’s on his shirt and commenting about his clothes. By the time we get to the register I slam my “Smile you’re on camera” sign down that I found on clearance and all the employees gather at the register/exit and after I paid I told my friend that I was getting the heck out of that store and getting the car because I did not appreciate the fact that every employee was watching me as if I was stealing. I was EXTREMELY humiliated and very upset that I was being watched like I was a thief. I do NOT steal and did not appreciate how I was treated that night at Lowe’s on exit 5 off I-81 in Bristol Virginia

Returning an item at the store in Bristol, VA was easy but the MOD did not think I could return my tree that was defective and purchase another one of the same tree which was on sale after I was told that this tree would not be on sale until after Christmas if at all. Lisa, the MOD, for Bristol, VA was very helpful and knew what she was doing.

The people that work there are so very, very helpful. Also, the cleanest Lowes store I have very been in. And I wish the Myrtle Beach store had everything the Bristol store has.

We had an issue with a rebate that was offered on our mower. Several stepped up to help us and ultimately the manager (Kevin) solved the problem. He went above and beyond for us. We shop often at Lowes and will continue to support this store in Bristol.

My mom got a refrigerator from the volunteer parkway store about 3 weeks ago. It was supposed to be delivered with a ice maker and the door hinges were supposed to be placed on the other side. The delivery men refused to move the door hinges. The ice maker made 3 ice cubes in 24hrs and they were black. My mom and myself have called repeatedly and have gotten nowhere. I have spoken to a csm named Victor who is friendly enough on the phone but completely useless at resolving the issue. I don't think it's too much to ask when purchasing a new refrigerator with a ice maker that it be delivered in good working condition.at this point a bad review seems to be my last resort.

Do not go to self-checkout only if you do not have the appropriate software. This is 2024 you should have the ability to be able to scan my ID. During the return they were able to scan my ID but there was no option to hit the enter button and the screen said the driver's license does not match but everything was the same in both fields. Then I go to the self-checkout to buy something and I can't scan my ID that is attached to the gift card and I have to manually enter it which apparently requires a store associate. What is the point of a self-checkout if it needs intervention from the associate.
Fix your software.
At Home Depot if I scan the back of my ID it takes the information at their self checkout kiosks

After many years of being a very loyal customer today was the day I made the decision. I will not be back.
Due to your new check out area, which today was self checkout only I refuse to do that.
I called Home Depot They gladly have both all the time. Self checkout plus friendly cashiers.

Great facility and associates. The prices are reasonable. The aisles were a little narrow, made more so by the pallets for restocking the shelves.

I'm not happy with Lowe's today. Purchased a sliding patio door and it didn't come with the screen so the salesman said I could order one. Sure! Price is 98.00 but shipping is 100.00. Kingsport has 7 but won't send them to the Abingdon store. Watch it people Amazon will eventually take over for this very reason.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
