In June I ordered two tiolets for my home to be delivered next day. Little did I know that Lowes has a third party delivering their items. The next day a man in a Toyota sedan made two different trips to deliver my two tiolets to my home that is 5 minutes away from Lowe's. One of the tiolets he dropped on the ground because he was physically unable to pick it up out if his car. This resulted in the tiolet breaking and then I had to have it picked up and returned to the store. It's was picked up in an actual truck, which is what it should've been delivered in.

It's been over 10 days since the tiolet has been picked up and returned to the store and the store still has not processed the return. Everytime I go to the store to inquire about it, I'm told to wait a few more days. Who is processing these returns, a snail? The service from delivery to return has been absolutely awful! They have lost my business!

Believe me, Lowes are not 'Home Depot light' . They do deliver on the goods. I came a and got what I was looking for.

Decent enough service and selection but DO NOT leave your cart unattended for even a short period of time. Atleast one in five trips here I find my cart gone and then see it mostly unpacked behind the customer service desk. Very odd considering how many boxes and empty carts they leave around in the store…

Customer Service this morning was not at its best. The bricks I needed were on a middle shelf, wrapped and not easily accessible. The young man cut the wrap and went to walk away. Remind you this is middle shelf, bricks and I needed 20. If i needed 5, no problem. Then I'm trying to leave and the hose was across all aisles except one which was blocked. Ask older gentleman if I could get by. He told me to wait and I should go around. It's too early for this.

Ahh, LOWES. I have been to many of these stores across the U.S. with varying results.
This one in Culpeper, VA, however was a very positive experience. I had a small project and needed some scrap wood. I found a damaged 2x8 that would work fine, I just needed it to be cut for me. I asked the young man about my needs and if I could get the cuts I needed. He did not hesitate except to ask what dimensions I needed.
The lady monitoring the self checkout was very helpful and nice. My scrap lumber rang up as full price. After I explained what I had, she made the needed adjustment and I was on my way.
I was very happy with my overall experience at this LOWES in Culpeper.

Pretty poor planning on the window and door dept. I called at 10:00 am and was told after it rang for 5 minutes that they were on lunch and to call back in an hour! What everyone got to break at the same time and no customer help during this time!

I would not recommend Lowes. I recently bought a Plumbing fixture and paid cash. I lost the receipt came back to return the item to get store credit to purchase other materials and they said that they could not give me store credit regardless of how soon I bought the item because I didn’t have my receipt because it was a Plumbing fixture and it was $100. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars in Lowe’s and I forgot to put my phone number in this one time because I was in a hurry and there was nothing that they could do not a manager not anybody I would highly recommend going to Home;Depot over Lowes especially if your contractor spend your money there Where they’re more willing to work with you and I find their stores much more organized and laid out with materials in places together and give zero stars if I could

Was highly impressed with Bryant in the paint department. He took a lot of time and effort to show me different stain colors. Colors on pamphlets are very deceiving. He is a real credit to your store. Sara Taylor

Indian guy in the garden center charged me for 2 extra bags of soil when I told him they were 4 and pointed it out. Also the whole store is a mess and there are rarely prices in front of item. Most items there can be ordered directly from China at a much cheaper rate. The quality of everything there is utter trash compared to Tractor Supply. Home depot also has a better stock, just seems like lowes turned into a temu or aliexpress storefront.

Went in today looking for a dishwasher, Simon took the time to check on one we were interested in to only find out it had been sold. He then went a step further to find us one at a much better quality at a price we certainly couldn't walk away from. Certainly glad we went in today to shop for a dishwasher.

As far as Lowe’s goes, when you’re shopping at the store, it’s fine. Pretty run of the mill. The online order/ curbside pick up is an absolute mess. It takes forever to get an order filled. If you’re lucky, they’ll send you the text that it’s ready. The last 3 times, I’ve had to call, only to be told it’s ready. Then when I get there, it’s not ready. Nobody has any idea what’s going on ever. Lesson learned. I’ll be headed to Home Depot moving forward

I have been coming to this Lowes for eight years now. I thought the lack of employee engagement was normal for Lowes. I quickly learned it has to do with poor training and management. I waited 20 minutes for the curb side pick up associates to bring me 9 items. All of the items were small and fit into one cart. I called the store and the woman told me that I would need to go inside to pick up the materials. Then waited another ten minutes to receive my cart. The cart was missing two bales of hay. The woman at the customer service desk notified me that I would need to drive around back abs grab the hay. I grabbed the hay and left. If you are looking for quick and efficient pick up don't bother going to Lowes. If your looking for good customer service drive to Floor & Decor in Manassas or Home Depot in Warrenton.

Side note: In the past my family and I have delt with poor customer service at the self checkout. Unkind comments were made during check out, we brushed it off as the person must have been having a bad day. The second time we used the self check out another associate questioned our bad while grabbing it to confirm we hadn't take additional items when their back was turned. We never went back to self checkout again.

Please consider reviewing positive and negative customer service behaviors with your associates. Does Lowes offer training refresh courses? If not, something to consider.

Not sure what has changed, but this store looks horrible. The parking lot is trashy. And we aren't talking fresh trash. We are talking yellowed paper, old weathered plastic everywhere, and cigarette butts all over the place. Inside was not much cleaner. So sad to see this because it's a recent problem.

This lowes continues to be a nightmare! Can’t ever find an associate when you need one and when you do they aren’t really helpfully. We waited 30 mins to order 4 windows today, tried to look at a dryer but didn’t see an associate. Got a bale of straw, then got griped at bc they weren’t supposed to sell it according to
a random guy.

Lowes wins over HD any day. The staff is so helpful. I always find more than I came in for, but I never grab a cart. Shout out to Jeff. Jeff saw me struggling with an item and assisted me. I'll be back!

We typically shop at Lowe’s in Central Park but went to Lowe’s in Culpeper. Although nice enough, the young men working in the lumber department need training. When the employees don’t know the difference between a 2x4x8 and a 4x4x8, someone has dropped the ball and not provided the most basic training for them. There were other things too, but enough said. Lowe’s, step up your customer service by providing your employees the training they need to be successful!!

It's a good place...the mapping is a little wonky when searching for stuff. This time I ordered on line and that part with the pick up was fine. But part of the order had to be shipped. Instead of giving me a chance to have it shipped to the store and have me pick it up, (like a lot of places do, they automatically are shipping it to me and the cost of shipping is more than the cost of the items ordered.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had the opportunity to speak with John, a "Military Hero" team member, and he was very helpful in answering all of my questions. I always enjoy my visits to this store.

If I could give no stars right now I wouldn't give any. Don't know what's happening with Lowe's but they've gotten HORRIBLE. I originally ordered parts for needed repairs on my home from the store in Culpeper Va. Original delivery date was May 31. I get an email stating that the delivery date was now moving to June 2. On June 2 I got another email stating the delivery was now on June 4. I ended up calling Corporate who somewhat expedited part of my order(drywall sheets) to today June 3. The drywall arrived on a flatbed truck. A guy got on a forklift and was going to dump the drywall in my yard. I asked him to bring it in the house. He refused, saying he wasn't allowed to go in the house. In the process of fork lifting the drywall he damaged both sheets so I sent it back. Called Lowe's to let them know and got another runaround. I don't know what is actually happening but Lowe's needs to step up their game big time.

I really like this lowes store however, they only have self checkouts now! When I'm buying 6 big bags of dirt and other big things I don't want to do it myself unless you want to pay me? I go to the customer service desk and they are nice enough to check me out! Get rid of the self checkouts!

This store was great when it first opened and then went downhill. In the past several years, we've noticed that the customer service folks are a bit more on the ball. The guys in the tool and electrical/lighting area are pretty helpful.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
