I’m not a fan of self checkout and as always that’s all that was open. Smh. All in the name of saving money.

I am a small elder lady who shops at Lowe's home improvement often, in Danville VA. Today like many times before, they dont have the necessary help to load your heavy items into your vehicle, unless its a small female such as myself. Today was slightly different, when told after purchasing 80 lb concrete slabs, I was instructed I would have to load myself. Thankfully I met an employee and gentleman who went above and beyond while on his break! After seeing me in tears, wondering how I would load them after nearly falling out putting them on a cart, he quickly ran to stop me and insisted he would help. Stefan did just that and if I have any chance to get that young man promoted or commended for his kindness, while off the clock, then show me a way please!

I just wanted to thank Marcus with Lowe's of Danville, VA for helping me buy some LVP flooring. He did an excellent job. He was very patient , informative and helpful. It is obvious that he is a tremendous asset with Lowe's. Please look after this man.

I ordered a grill from Lowe’s as a Father’s Day gift and scheduled the delivery well in advance. Unfortunately, they delayed the delivery twice, despite confirming the original date. The gift was supposed to arrive the week before Father’s Day—but now they’re saying it’s going to show up until July 3rd.

To make matters worse, the grill isn’t even assembled yet. The original plan was to have it delivered and assembled by now, but every time I hear from them, it’s another excuse about delivery schedules and having to reschedule.

This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The whole experience feels unorganized and poorly managed. I expected a lot more from a company like Lowe’s.

Came here with the intention of buying a chainsaw and some other plants and such. While i did get what i came for, the experience was completely frustrating. We walked down the empty aisle. Perfect.
Had time to think about what we wanted. Turn around. Older woman watching us. Then one of the gates was closed on the aisle. Why?! I do NOT like being in closed areas. A man came by and opened it. I said "why are we closed in? What was the reason?" No response and he walks off. I selected the chainsaw i wanted. Went to look at extra chains. The other older lady informed me where the chains for that specific model were. Great. Thank you. As i went to get one, she closes the other gate.. i felt like we were being watched the e tire time but no one actually had the decency to see if we needed assistance. They just kept watching us and blocking us in. I got what i wanted. The products were great. The employees need evaluation before being hired ..

It was a lovely time. I didn't need any assistance with what I needed. But was asked by several employees.

My experience last week at Lowes was truly abysmal. I wasn’t going to write a review but today I finally just felt it was my responsibility to let people know. The store was dirty. I saw a giant spiderweb on a shelf in one of the aisles and the spider was brown so do with that what you will. I should’ve taken the extra couple minutes and just gone to the Home Depot. Health and safety, please check out this location!

Lowe's stores in general always seem clean and well stocked. This location also always has polite and helpful employees as well.

The one thing I do not like about what Lowe's has done is the emphasis on self-checkout. I refuse to use them.

But Lowe's is a thousand times better than the orange store.

Paint manager who gets called “hot momma” by customers which is weird is wildly under staffed and demanding. She sucks. Get better service or more staff to deal with her lack of ability. Ive ran a paint department before. When i ask to have a primer spun when you have three empty machines and you say i have to wait, kick rocks lady. Yall can find your gallon of paint in your outdoor garden center. Thats where i decided to wait and leave it.

Lowes has joined the MANY businesses today that has abandoned customer service. Just finished a remodeling job and tried to return unopened tile that was excess. Was told that it exceeded their 90 day return policy. Since when? They still have this tile in stock! I have made many purchases while building and remodeling never had any problems. The next job is a 12x40 deck with composite decking and a shed roof. Guess where I'm NOT buying

I'm a new construction builder in the local area. I've spent over 20k this month alone in the Danville Store. I just placed an order in the Lowe's Suffolk store for over 25k for cabinets and countertops and that has been a nightmare. I recently recieved a damage stove from Lowe's that was damaged on delivery. I was told by the store manager Lee in Danville that because it was purchased on my American Expeess card and not my Lowe's card, I had 48 hrs instead of 30 days to return. I find this to be very unfair and I will be taking my business elsewhere. I can be forgiving as a customer on your customer service negligence, but as a business customer, I can't recieve any grace.

Thank you from a former loyal customer.

Most workers walk the other way when your looking for help! Key word looking! We were shopping, my wife let me know that some guy was following her around! Come to find out was a loss prevention, made her extremely paranoid and a little upset, which made me upset! Not a good experience to be followed around for no reason! Think I will go to home depot from now on!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
