Steve Snyder is an honest man I have known and trusted from his previous landscaping business. I appreciated his help in working out a final deal. I did not record the installers name, but he did excellent work and left the site neat as a pin. Thank them both for me.

Initially, nice guys. Ultimately, it’s the customer service that is horrendous!
1- home and garden show- took information.
2- text to set appointment for inspection and quote. NO SHOWED
3 - rescheduled- showed, 45 minutes late. Sales call for inspection and quote, took pictures and measurements.
4- installation appointment- 2 hours late finally arrived- time off work to be there and they say can’t do it because the gutter isn’t level (which they knew at sales call and inspection) then can’t do it because of existing hangers on gutter needs a “release” to adjust to do the job. Reschedule to get job done when they have proper equipment. Left materials on yard from original filter on gutter.
5- two guys show up not at 8 when scheduled but at 3pm… say they can’t do it an I must get gutters or get $250 feet to cancel of service. Left sheet metal screws scattered in driveway 6- called in advance, “on my way and will be there shortly” (was scheduled at 9, didn’t arrive till 10:30). Didn’t knock when they arrived. Just went through the side gate to the back yard and started working. It was only supposed to take two hours. Finished at 2:45 pm, and they left rusty 2-1/2 staples scattered in grass and across deck and 3/4 sheet metal screws EVERYWHERE!!! In the grass, on the deck, in the driveway, in front of the house!!

SO DEFINITELY A DO NOT RECOMMEND. I don’t care how nice a product is, when you’re spending your cash and they do crap work, leave it hazardous for your pets and kids, and cars and it costs you time and energy… if I didn’t need the gutters functioning, I wouldn’t have continued after signing their contract to do the work.

Stay away, all I wanted was a quote. Kid came over and after 1 1/2 hours of his dog and pony show I kicked him out of my house. Sign right now because I can't hold it until tomorrow game, I'm in sales, I wasn't going to fall for that. My only regret was not kicking him out earlier so I could enjoy more of my evening. I later got a quote for 1/4 the cost of what they quoted.

WARNING: This company uses manipulative sales tactics. I did not hire them, so this is a review of their sales tactics, not of their products or labor. If you want a bid from them, I highly recommend getting a bid from at least one other company first so you have an idea of what you might expect to pay.

This is their sales tactic: salesman gives his spiel and touts all the positives, showing a binder with stuff like the BBB rating, consumer reports, etc, but those items are not given to potential clients to look over at their own pace. Then a very high quote is given, followed by a 'deal.' In my case, the first quote was for over $10K, followed by a 'deal' of about $7.5K. The potential clients are told that in order to get the 'deal,' they must sign immediately, and are made to feel that they are losing out on a great bargain if they don't sign.

If the client still does not sign, the price is lowered again. At some point, the salesman calls his boss to ask if he can lower the price even more, and the answer is always yes. The purpose is to have the clients sign without having time to think it over, do their own research, or get other bids, so they are pressured to sign then and there, and told that the 'deal' is only good until the salesman leaves.

However, the lowest price that the salesman will give is either comparable to or higher than what other companies would bid, so many people end up overpaying in order to get the so-called 'deal.' The lowest bid they gave me was $3990, and I was told they were offering to install it at cost. These quotes were for new gutters and leaf guards for my house. The other 3 bids I got for gutters only (no leaf guards) were all under $3K. Leaf filter did give me an initial quote for gutters only, but it was oral only and I don't remember the exact amount, but I think it was in the $7-8K range.

I told them I wouldn't play their game, but if they would send me their lowest bid via email and remove the deadline, I would consider them along with the other companies I was getting bids from. That was over a week ago, and I have not heard back.

If you are considering Leaf Filter, first research them fully and get a few bids from other contractors, and when they show up, tell them to skip the manipulative marketing and just call the boss and give you their lowest bid off the bat.

Had the system put in for over 10,000. Was told the leaves and needles would blow off the filter system. NOT. Depri does not get in the gutters, but the leaves cause a over flow. I am using a leave blower to keep leaves off mesh. Definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend.

Another scam that preys on seniors. Do not fall for the 0 down 0% interest. Was quoted 6k for install on 60ft of gutter. After being laughed at they called back and said “we can knock off 2k”. Hahaha how does 2k just get pulled out of thin air? Exterior for a whole house isn’t even that far off on quotes! What a joke. Companies like this should be illegal.

Keaton was awsome! Very polite & helpful even though we could do it money wise! He went above and beyond to try! Even got the boss involved! I'm very impressed with their customer service! They were here to sell but it was different! Keep up the great work guys! If i have my way! We will revisit this next year!

Rating on customer service alone as I have not had the gutters installed but after their customer service, I won't. We talked to the people running a booth at the home and garden expo and told her, its something I may be interested in the future but not in the budget anytime soon. She said no problem! I'll get your info and then you'll get a message with a link and once you're ready for a quote then to click the link and get it all set up. The next day (Saturday) they called at 8am, noon and I did not answer, then called from a private number at 4pm. They called AGAIN 8:30am Sunday morning. If they are that desperate for customers, it's not a good look. I was maybe interested in the product before but not anymore! Not after being harassed and called multiple times over the course of the weekend after I already told the girl from the beginning that it was not happening anytime soon. And to call on a Sunday? They are closed Sundays so If i had the product I wouldn't be able to get ahold of them outside business hours and I don't think they need to be calling others outside business hours. Or to call from a private number so I would answer? Not classy. Call once, leave a message then leave it be.

If you could give zero stars I would give zero. I was told by the manager that I should have read the fine print that if this system causes icicle problem that is not their problem and I should have read the fine print. So now I have a problem I did not have before. Ian the manager was very rude

The installer was also the service person. He went beyound my problem and did other small adjustments to my complex system.

I contacted Leaffilter for a free bid, Jonathon responded and scheduled an appointment for a day that would work for us. His presentation was complete and no pressure was given to make my decision. He made sure I was afforded all current discounts and then presented me with the price. When I decided to agree to price and terms an installer was sent out to perform the installation. His work was great and he was very professional in his interactions with us. He cleaned up and reviewed his work with me showing before and after photos. I found the whole experience was what should be expected from business that values its customers. I would recommend anyone needing this service give them the same chance I did to earn your trust and business.
