Ace Hardware - Richmond, KY

I stopped by the Richmond Ace Hardware store today and picked up a piece of tubing to drain the oil out of my 13 year old Husqvarna mower. The sales associate was very helpful and offered some very insightful tips. As a hardware store in Madison County, Kentucky, it stores quite a comprehensive selection of bolts, screws, washers, nails, hooks, chains, tubing/hose. They have tools, grills, pocket knives, and so on. Typically, there is little to no waiting in line.

All I got was two house keys and one car key that had to be programmed they worked as they should great place and employees are always helpful and friendly been going there for years and will keep going

This place is where I go when I need fasteners that I am not able to find any other place. Lost a bolt on your mower? Car missing a strange looking fastener? Have a project that you only need a handful of fasteners for instead of a whole box? They will have it! The staff are always helpful and knowledge.

A little more than you would expect from a hardware store. There was a huge selection of Case brand knives, many hard to find ones. Other knife brands were underrepresented but if you like Case, check out Ace. I was looking to add a new Benchmade to the collection but I didn't see any here.

The staff has always been very responsive to our questions about tools and supplies that we have needed for our home, lawn and garden.

Had what we thought we needed. Had to return thing twice, not a problem there. I did not know different Ace stores had different items. Return it where you bought it.

They do not honor the lifetime warranty on the items they sell. Had a previous issue with Craftsman wrench purchased through them and now with a Channellock plier I purchased. Told me to go to Home Depot in Lexington KY. Why buy from them if they do not care about keeping the customer happy and continue to purchase merchandise from them?

I love this Ace. Everyone is helpful. So accommodating. And don't take advantage of those with less knowledge. Took my electric EGo mower in because the battery was doing wonky things. They tested, pushed it around inside. Tested outside. Even cut some grass in their back yard. No problems, NO CHARGE. How many times can one get great service and not be charged for it. Thank you Ace.

There is not a whole lot that you can say bad about Ace Hardware in Richmond Ky.when pretty much your only other option is Lowes! And if you live in Richmond then you know what I'm talking about...Lowes is the worst! At Ace it use to be that they would come at you from every direction to help, not quite that way any more but would rather shop there than Lowes!

The best customer service you could ask for. Has a better stock than Lowes too. You will not have to spend alot of time looking for what you need because someone will help you.They are more likely to have it in stock than other hardware stores.

I've been going to this Ace hardware for a few years, grabbing some popcorn and drinks. I was a loyal customer, who always purchased random other things, just because I liked the check-out ladies. I was run out of the store today, by a crusty old guy who I had never seen before, who said that popcorn isn't for feeding people, it's for customers. I am a customer! (lol, or was) Dude said the three little bags of popcorn I had cost $15. It costs $2.26 for a bag of kernels, at Walmart, with 27 servings a bag! Their drinks also cost twice as much as Walmart's, so I was doing them a favor, just by purchasing them. They charge $3.18 for two Ale8s (with tax). That would be at least $38 for 24 of them (depending on taxes). Walmart's 24 packs are $13.48, and $3.68 for a four pack! If necessary, you can even go to Kroger, and get a 24 pack for $14.50. Not that I think that guy can do math, but the numbers don't lie (prices are referenced, in the included pictures.)
