Need human general cashiers. At least 2 at the front. The self check out was backed up. The employees that are there are helpful. But the lack of humanity in the box stores is negligent. The last impression of shopping is the LASTING impression. I'm very tired of feeling like a chunk of change when I leave through self check outs. The garden store replicates Home depot common choices for plants. Re runs. We went to Quincy Emerald Desert Nursery to have the plant and shopping experience we miss. Lowes Garden was great for approx 10 plus years. The last 5 years, Lowes has eroded itself to a twin of Home Depot. Minimal contact with customers= bigger stock dividend. That can't be sustainable. I'm posting here, because I know the employees of Lowes work hard and still care. ( the number of employees left from the corporate de-boning of staff in the last 5 years.) Make Box Stores Great Again! Bring back quality staff.

Was in Lowes a day or so ago, and had the most rewarding and fun experience with an employee there. His name is Garrett and while he works different places in the store helping customers, the day I was there we were in the plumbing supplies. I cannot express how great my experience was with his knowledge of the product I needed. It was like he had gone to college to sell this product to me, explaining everything about it! I have not had an experience in a store where a customer service person made made me feel so comfortable and easy to ask questions I had. And he also was a very joyful person which made my buying experience with him so fun. By the time I left we were exchanging jokes and he just made my day. So far and few between do I get as enjoyable experience while shopping for bathroom replacement parts. Hope he is there for a thousand years and I so wish other customer service people could be like Garrett. THANK YOU GARRETT AND THANK YOU LOWES!
ML, a very happy customer!

Thank You to Amber at the Customer Service Center. My husband and I found what we needed and had some questions. Amber was quick to get answers and was very kind and gracious during the process. This is what keeps us coming back to Lowe’s!!

Great friendly staff. We went here first because we needed some PVC pipe for sign holders. However, we found it cheaper at Home Depot. Nevertheless, we came back and bought it from Lowe's because the staff were friendlier and more helpful. They were willing to cut the pipes down to the sizes we needed without hassle. Much appreciated. (Please read my review for Home Depot as well).

Came in right at open, 6am, looking for a pressure switch for a water pressure tank. Wayne asked me how my day was going and if I needed help finding anything. We had a hard time finding what I was needing, but he took me to multiple isles to make sure what I was looking for was actually out of stock.

I ended up having to go to Home Depot but rest assured, I would come back for Wayne. He was awesome.

The lack of customer care and knowledge of how things run, no less the inability to find anyone working at the store to answer questions is mind blowing. I went to pick up an online order to which I was told one of the items was unavailable for pick up, prompting me to ask when it should be available since it was an 8 hour drive to and from the store but it was the closest one. The employee informed me that he doesn't know because the computer doesn't tell him that but that he was "sure it will be by the end of next month"... Next month is December and it was November 10th I was at the store. When asked if there was someone who could help narrow down the time frame he said no there was no one that could do so. How is this considered acceptable customer service? I am appalled and the leaders and managers of this store should be ashamed of how people are being treated and as the employee said that there is no one in the store that knows anything and can answer questions.

Went in to buy some things and I was followed around by a 20 year old worker who stood by me silently and didn't ask if I needed help until after an uncomfortably long silence. When i happened to be finished and walked back towards the front to pay he also happened to walk over with me. If you're going to have your workers follow people around tell them to not make it so obvious. (Now cue the bullshit auto reply)

I shop here over Home Depot because they offer my father a military discount. I especially like Becca as she goes way above and beyond for any need I have. I'll even stop to say hello to her when I'm there. But, each employee that I received help from are really great.

Went to Lowe's Wenatchee.
Spent 20 mins there, nobody approach me to ask if I needed help. Although help was not needed, is just it should be expected from customer service.
Went to front cashiers to pay for my item, it turns out there were no cashiers open, only the self checkout.I asked if there were any open, an associate politely directed me to use the self checkout which I ended up using but damn it, if they expect me to use the self checkout all the time I should get some discount my items at least 10% off on top of the 5 from my card.

Shopped on line for kitchen cabinets, counter top and mini frig. Delivery was 3 weeks out which wasn't too bad. Maverick and Walter were delivery guys and did a great job. It's a big truck and we have a tricky driveway. Maverick handled it like a pro. He called to let me know when they would arrive which was very courteous. I would shop at Lowes again. My in store shopping has also been a good experience.

They have not answered their phones for two weeks but if they do they need to ask the manager, hang up, and never ever call back after promising to. Corporate does the same thing. You can’t save money on a washer dryer if they won’t deliver it for gods sake

You're system is all messed up, I have valid complaints but your system won't allow me to go beyond X number of characters before your system stops me from seeing what I'm trying to convey to you.
Therefore I'll call your store and go thru your associates to speak with someone who can help.
Very poor csystem!!!

So. When you go to this place the people working in there are super nice and helpful. But their tracking system is horrible. We needed certain tiles and our contractor was told they have all of them But when he went to get them they literally didn’t have them even though their tracking system kept saving they have them. This is a fail. Our whole project depends on this item availability. Our contractor went as far as Monroe to get them and even that Lowes didn’t have enough of them so he went to Marysville to get the remaining needed tiles. He got home at 11 pm. This is the reason I think Lowes can do better. Come on. Do something about your tracking system!

Ordered online to pick up in store. You just scan the barcode they email you, and a little locker pops open Auth your stuff in it. FUUUUUTUURRRRRRE!

Very disappointed they are unable to answer the phone when I called for 20 mins to all departments. No customer service at all zero. Got on the phone with corporate Lowe’s same run around. Very poor customer service and I have spent tens of thousands at this location. Just list when your outdoor wood cutting department closes………….

A shot out for Sarah in flooring. Girl you rock. To be honest I don’t like shopping at Lowe’s. It’s hard to find someone willing to help when needed . I went to look at carpet and I couldn’t make up my mind. Sarah in flooring helped me out every step of the way. Sarah thanks for helping us out. We could use more people like you in customer service. So far your my go to person thank you very much. You are awesome. Positive attitude and just overall a great person with a big helping heart. ❤️ I can’t thank you enough.

I ordered two Craftsman chests for same day delivery. Within 30 minutes I received a text saying my order was ready for delivery. 7 hours later their system says "A driver has picked up your order, your order is ready for driver to pick up". It took a while to breach their auto system, but I got a rep. I was told my order was waiting for door-dash. I ordered two of the large base chests. I said I was charged $69 for same day delivery. I was told I would need to cancel my order to get that money back. They could care less!

Store refuses to fill pick up orders until 2-3 days have passed. When doing a pick up, after checking in, no one will ever bring out an order. The 3 employees standing around doing nothing at pick up desk says there is no one available to get your order, even when it's sitting right next to them 10 ft away. Despite having a disability, Lowes employees refuse to even push the cart and make you push it out and load yourself. Management at this store (if there is any) should be appalled. DO NOT count on this store if you have a business relying on timely service or if you have a disability preventing you from being able to load your own order. Probably every employee at this store needs to be replaced.

Update 2024 — slightly improved service, but still lots of room for vast improvements. New self checkout terminals are awful. Employee had to sign in 5 times to fix it.

Store seems to have no management.

I'm not usually the one that has to go to the hardware store, so when I do go I have no problem walking up to the employees and asking them to point me in the direction of that which I see Now sometimes they're already busy, so I stand there and wait for them to finish what they're doing while continually scanning the store to see if I can find a sign that will point me in the right direction. They seem to appreciate that as they usually greet me with a smile after having patiently waited and sometimes not only do they put me in the right direction but they will also lead me down do the correct aisle to make sure that I actually find what I'm looking for. ☺️ Thank you

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

2. How much does it usually cost to replace the roof of a commercial building?

The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
