Absolutely the worst customer service! I ordered an electric range from Lowe’s in Kahului, Maui, after the website showed it was in stock. I placed the order and scheduled a delivery for July 17th. That day came and went—no delivery, no call, no explanation. I had to call to reschedule and was told the delivery would be moved to July 22nd.

On the morning of the 22nd, I called again to confirm, and was told the delivery was still on. A few hours later, I received an email stating the delivery would not be made, and I needed to reschedule—again.

At that point, I spoke with a manager who informed me the range I had purchased wasn’t even in stock. After already waiting days, being misled, and rearranging my schedule, I was told a representative would call me back within 30 minutes to resolve the issue. No one ever called.

At that point, I had had enough and cancelled the order.

This was an unbelievably frustrating and disappointing experience. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. I will not be shopping at Lowe’s Kahului again, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before ordering appliances from this location.

Maui's first big box hardware store has a new home not even a mile away from their old digs. Their first store was small and cramped as it opened as Eagle Hardware & Garden which was later acquired by Lowe's.

Their new store sits pretty on their own lot, meaning there is no added traffic from being in a strip mall like their old location. And it's a perfect size too, not overly large which makes finding things easier and gives off a more intimate experience. The entry and exit doors are close together which was great.

As you enter the airlock, there's a conveniently located pickup area as well as the customer service/returns area. The store is laid out similar to their old digs. The garden center is now larger, and their drive thru lumber yard is easily accessed from the front of the store. They also have several touch screen product search displays to help you find items easier, something that's beneficial for me as I loathe having to ask where things are located.

Over the years, I've found that Lowe's seems to carry more specialty products, and items of a higher character compared to their competitors.

OVERALL:
Nice new store, easy access, perfect square footage.

Me and my husband came down from Upcountry to buy the gas range stove on sale that we've been waiting for this Memorial Day sale.
Went to that dept, ask tge lady and show her the stove we want (probably around 11:30), she said to take a picture and go to the cashier and pay for it and will this in the front for you.
It's sale for $589. Whirlpool 4 burner gas range stove oven.
We did that paid the cashier waited 15 min. then the cashier went to that department around 10 min. came back and said someone bought it already.
Very dissapointed, it was supposed to be my Father's day gift to my husband.
Anyway, got refunded, 20 more min waited to get the money refunded.
The cashier was nice.
The other girl in that dept should have checked it first before she asked us to go and pay for it .
She said that it will take her a long time to check it in her computer when we were there, and asked us to pay for it first and a.lot faster.
Very dissapointed on this situation.
Go home and unhappy.

True story promise! I went into Lowe's to buy a bandsaw for $99 I had to advertise tag from the area that said $99 for a DeWalt bandsaw I asked the worker to take bandsaw up to the front I wanted to purchase it. He changed the price on the tag that I had given him for the product to $198. So when I went to go pay for it of course I was in shock that is not the price that was advertised and that's not the price that I should pay. The worker denied changing the price on the tag. I'm baffled! I immediately called for management and remained calm the whole time. I stood there for over an hour demanding that they check the cameras. Because of the angles of the cameras they say that they can't make a determination whether or not he change the price. I don't know why the worker would do that except that he would get in trouble for Miss marking said tool in the first place that's not my fault. And that they didn't believe me. For some reason I cook up the elaborate story. examples like this that drive people mad and end up in psych units.

What the heck is going on at Lowe’s? I’ve tried to call customer service for over an hour and kept on getting hung up on! The two times I did get through, the lady was snippy with me and transferred me to a line that rang until it hung up. Customer service at Lowe’s is woefully lacking and I wouldn’t be surprised if this place implodes. The workers there clearly don’t care.

If my review could have zero stars I would.
I have reached out by phone for the last hour over and over again. I have asked to speak to a person over and over again. No one picks up, the system routes me back into the system, no one picks up and the line disconnects.

I am looking for an update on two pending orders which I am told I can access on the website under my account. When I log into my account no orders or projects appear. The orders are prepaid. A very frustrating situation.
This company is willing to take my money and the customer service is great but once the money is there service seems to disappear.

Beyond disappointing!!

I talked to an employee named Chris in the paint section, he had a large background in paint And every question I asked was answered with detail and he even gave me a bunch of other information and tips that was super helpful. He's very kind and genuinely wants to help. Thank you very much, Chris

I am writing here again because it gets worse by the day…….I came to Lowe's with my granddaughter on Monday afternoon again. About an hour later, the manager Tyson Sacks came out to see me. I asked him to show me the evidence. My husband paid 2048. 60 and we got receipt !Why did you reported it to Credit card Company for $1048.60? He
said that his cashier wrote the wrong number!(As a Cashier how could possibly write the #1 and # 2 wrong ???This is Ridiculous!!! )But they have no proof that my husband paid $1000 less than the number on the receipt.
He was very impolite or shall I say rude and he said :Don't you make mistakes sometimes? It’s hard to believe an established company manager say things like that in front of an old woman and kid. Mistakes happen! But why only accuse my husband didn’t pay the full amount? Who don’t want to admit that they steal the money
So, when you make payment with cash at lowe’s, please be careful ! You might experience human errors and you might end up paying a lot more than you owe!

My husband went December 26 2024,in the morning 8am , paid $2050 in cash and got receipt for $2048.6 and $1.40 change. It was a clear transaction. A few days later, we got letters stated we didn't pay the full amount and we need to pay $1000 additional.... we went multiple times requested to see the video of that transaction and got rejected every time and insisted my husband took $1000 back on that day with no approve! Our question is: how did my husband took $1000 cash back, and give him the $ 2,048.6 receipt and change. Why can we see the video. If this does not get solved in a timely manner , we will see the cashier and managers(we have all the names) who cant give us an answer in court for justice !

Went in last year to pay on account paid full balance on account even got a receipt but later they said I did not pay full amount and took back half of what I paid would not let me see video of transaction I think someone is stealing money from this store but what can a little guy do against a corporation like this to get justice

I tried to tip the employees that helped me load over 400 lbs sand in my car, the guy took the money, the young girl just asked for me to fill out a review. The employees at Lowe’s are so much better than Home Depot, they actually help you and know what they’re talking about. Thanks again

Our associate, Mariva, was great. Delivery and calling store wasn't. The update for delivery link showed an incorrect delivery. We were told the refrigerator would ne delivered 10:00 am to noon. My husband and I called over 20 times and we're disconnected each time. Finally we were told we were 17 on the list! Dealing with delivery is a NIGHTMARE. Calling the store is impossible too. We wasted a whole day and lost ALL our food. Thanks Lowes

Abi was super helpful and made the process quick and easy. We purchased a gas stove and she helped us get in and out in record time. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Next time we need help at Lowe’s we will definitely look for her.

Alan, who was in the Garden Center around 17:15 on January 29th, was so helpful in helping me find what I needed. I think his position said front end. He had me exchange one of the orchids I bought that we didn’t realize broke and was so sweet in providing me two boxes to put four of my plants and stuff in. He packaged them and helped me store them so it wouldn’t bend or break.

He even told me who could help me on Saturdays if I need plants. Some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. 10/10. Just had to fill out the survey to spread the word as well. He was the only one working and was so kind with the other guest who was waiting after me. Wonderful guy.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Employees will avert their eyes and walk by you without asking if you need help. If you ask for help they will pass the buck and offer to page someone else. Waited nearly an hour for a department associate for help. I asked 3 different employees to page someone to the department. I ended up leaving the store without being assisted at all.

I walked from one side of the store to the other. Not a worker in sight. I grab an item and ask someone for help with the item. I wanted to know if they had more because the box was smashed. She scanned it and replied “we have 3 on hand”. After a long pause I asked “ok, so how can I get one of these?” She then proceeds to send me to find someone from that department. If I saw someone from that department, I wouldn’t have walked over to her for help. I walk away and find someone else. The gentleman scans it and says this is the only one.
I don’t understand how that works.
Zero customer service. The 2 people I did come in contact with, seemed like they weren’t excited about their job at all. I wonder if they know they are in the customer service industry.

DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIACNES EVER FROM LOWES, Their return policy is only 48 hours, I have been on hold for several DAYS easily over 8+ hours, three ways calls with LOWES, HOTPOINT (manufacture) of the fridge I bought, as well as COROPORATE, all of them pointing the finger at one another,

impossible to schedule service, they NEVER SHOWED UP TO FIX THE FRIDGE.

I went to the store over 3 times with the fridge.. talked to a number of managers, assistant mangers (Dennis) and to no avail. still fighting the system.

absolute raging dumpster fire of a situation to return a broken fridge that pools with water. buy your appliances elsewhere,

so to put them on full blast, I included the email threads showing how disorganized the ENTIRE situation is.

Kendra the supervisor in flooring is the most professional person I’ve ever dealt with at any store. She knew everything about everything. Dropped what she was doing to help us. Gave us so much confidence in purchasing the product here. When you are spending several thousand dollars to talk to someone that actually knew what they were doing took so much pressure off. If you see Kendra let her know she’s amazing! I wouldn’t go unless Kendra was working. And if she wasn’t working today we wouldn’t have purchased today

The customer service at Lowe’s Maui is absolutely the worse I’ve ever experienced. I am a contractor on Maui and time after time have been extremely disappointed. Can’t reach anyone via phone and when you do they just pass my call to a dead end. Nobody has any answers. And whenever I go to the store everyone is clueless. Lowe’s Maui is horrible and would NEVER recommend doing business with them.

Bought a Kohler drop in sink. A under mount sink was in the box instead of the correct one. Tried calling customer service at local store in Kahului 4x. Each time put on hold and hung up on after about 3 minutes. Could not talk to a human being. Terrible service.

Not able to solve my problem online, so I tried calling my local Lowes. The automated phone system sent my call to a line that rang 16x then hung up. This happened four times. I never did get to speak to a person, or have my problem solved. They don't have a call back or a chat option, which would be super helpful.
I am highly frustrated!
They get ZERO STARs for customer service.

I am absolutely dismayed, angered, and just beyond frustrated with this store. We purchased cabinets. Many came broken. Not Lowes fault and they tried to get us new ones. Actually Robert was the only help and dealt with a lot of issues that were inherited. One order is being shipped from the vendor directly to the store which takes forever because of logistics. Our kitchen is still not finished because of delays. I tried calling over 20x today to find out what is going on so that we can get the items to have our project finish- NO ANSWER!!!!!! No answer at the front, no answer in cabinets. Initially when the store was opened I got someone. Very polite woman but she had no idea what to tell me and tried to assist but then ghosted. I WANT MY ITEMS!. How do you have a business and never answer the phone or get back to customers. I am beyond livid. We have been customers in the past and have spent a lot of money at Lowes in general. Never will I buy anything from them again. My kitchen is incomplete and I'm still without answers. Oh and I bought an appliance for my remodel which only worked for 4 days but because it wasn't broken within 48 hours I cant return it. And of course Bosch cant give me authorization to return because there is no one to assist. I already had to buy another dishwasher in the meantime waiting for Bosch. I'm just so done. Our project has been going on since March! The absurdity. If I could give a 0 and below, I would do so just for todays aggravation. Robert however was the only good experience and the only reason why I'm not saying more.

Lowes has horrible customer service.

We got a brand new Samsung induction range and in the 1st day of trying to use it. It burned out. TRying to call lowes to get customer service has been a horrific experience. They force you to deal with an automated voice system that takes you around and around in circular questions and then hangs up on you.

I don't recommend using Lowe's at all based on this experience.

And once again..the number provided by lowes is an automated voice system that sends you in circles. If lowes really cared they would give you a number that actually connects you to people dedicated to resolving these types of issues, not a generic call centre number.

After many, many, many, good experiences at this store, I was dismayed at what happened to us recently. We arrived at the store, curbside pickup, just before 8:30 pm. We realized it was a bit late but we had just landed and it was convenient to p/up our purchases on the way home as we live upcountry. I used the app to inform the store we were on our way and when we arrived I provided the stall number. After waiting for 15 minutes, no one came, so I went into the store. Only to find out, from an employee with poor attitude, that the pick up desk was "unmanned" as no one had showed up for work that night. It was a "too bad, so sad" moment. She called a supervisor to talk to me and she too had a rather unprofessional attitude toward the whole situation. Not something I had EVER experienced at this store, during the day. Well she, or rather, someone else, found a bag with part of my order. The items were filthy dirty, covered with dirt. Her comment to me was " what do you expect, these items our outside, you can clean them off with water". At that point I left the items, went back to my truck and canceled the whole order.
I am still seething from the whole experience. No one, I mean NO ONE, especially a customer, needs to be treated like that.
The night shift either needs to be re-trained or at least talked to.

In the end, I got all my items from HD, they were clean.

Absolutely the worst place to buy appliances. I purchased a fridge on-line. They delivered a damaged one with a dent. We refused to accept it. I needed to get an another fridge. I started to call from 11 am. Now it is 8pm. The appliance department didn't bother to answer the phone even once. I contacted the customer service and asked for a manager. Same result, no answer from the manager as well. The staff has no respect for the customers. They also do not care about making a sale. I hope that someone from a head office will see this review. The worst customer service on this planet. Don't waste your time to deal with these people.

The place is huge but the employees were helpful in assisting me find the the things I needed. The app was also helpful because it assisted me in making sure they had the items I needed. I wish their app let me use a debit/credit card instead of PayPal. I ended up using cash. No cashiers, it's self checkout while people hover near you.

EDIT: Ella in the Returns section needs a raise and a promotion. This one star is specifically for her. The store itself and the manger still get a fat 0.

I bought a refrigerator- payed for it and pull up to pick it up and they didn’t have the color I payed for, so I settled for another color- minor inconvenience.

Then I finally get a plumber to install my water line for my ice maker and I WAS GIVEN THE WRONG ICE MAKER.(I had payed for the correct one apparently)

Came to returns- did not have my receipt (stupidly lost it) but had all my information from buying the items and the item itself. The manager said she couldn’t return my item because it’s not the item I purchased??? That was the entire reason I came to return it- because I was given the wrong item.

I was finally assisted by Ella- who I felt was the only person who understood what was happening and was trying to help me while the manager just kept repeating the rules and procedures. Ella helped deescalate the situation and was extremely professional and helpful.

This lowes seriously needs improvements.

I am so stinking frustrated with this store! They lost my refrigerator and now I can not get anyone to answer the phone. Tried calling corporate number and they are closed because they are in the mainland. Auto voice says there is no order scheduled yet I still don't have my fridge! WTH!

MJ helped me find these door locks that weren't on the shelf. She grabbed the big ladder and started searching. We search for at least ten minutes and she wasn't giving up until she found them. Great customer service! If I could leave 20 Stars I would!!!

They have what you need you just gotta search for it. The last time I needed thumb tacs I couldn't find it so I asked one of the employees in the vest. He said they didn't have it. I used the lowes app and showed him that it said they had it in this store. The employee didn't say anything and walked away. I asked another employee and she told me it's on isle 14. Well I couldn't find it on isle 14 after searching for 5 minutes. I then saw a friend and after talking he told me where it was. He shops there alot and knows where most of the things are. He told me don't ask the employees they don't know some do. If you asked 10 employee probably only 1 would know.

For years I’ve been able to make returns on unused project items by swiping my CC rather than tracking down receipts. I just received a new CC with a different expiration and my items today can’t be found. Apparently a month ago they stopped issuing store credits said CS, especially on an item like my air conditioner cord; what!?. CS here is dismal and unhelpful.

Brand new LG washer and dryer, installed by Lowe's 2 months ago. Just moved into the house and started using the washer a week ago. House is totally flooded. Lowe's refuses to help saying I am "outside their policy window". Ive only been using the machine for a week! HORRENDOUS. I will be making a claim. Not only do I not have a machine to use, my new floors, baseboards and cabinets are destroyed. Customer service offers ZERO HELP!

Friendly workers and good quality products. Update... Terrible experience at Lowe's in Maui. Had to take 3 trips back. They delivered the wrong range hood then forgot to give me a refund. Wasted about 5 hours there. Yuck. Some nice workers who helped me. Don't try calling cause you won't be able to get through

Lowes is definitely my Top choice for wood and home stuff. Home depot sucks. I can never find anything. The employees are rude and unhelpful. NOT at Lowes though! Everyone is always VERY helpful. I went in last night and Curtis in the lumber yard helped me sift though 8' pieces of wood and helped me picked out 10 pieces for my project. He was so nice and helpful even though I came in like 30 min before closing! Thanks you! There was also another guy that helped me find this weird bolt that I needed (tall, low ponytail half shaved underneath I think?) and didn't get annoyed with my dumb girl questions (umm what's this pieces called that looks like this but "without the top part?" Lol) ANYWAY, I love Lowes and your crew. Thanks!

Update! Lisa at checkout and (I didn't catch his name in the paint department today 8/31, tall gentleman) were VERY HELPFUL!)

If one wants a disappointing shopping experience go Lowes Kahului:
Garden section: Many plants are almost dead because of insufficient care.
The store: good luck to find someone available at all or who actually knows the answer to a question you have.
Appliance: If you find one who knows how to do the order of a large Appliance good luck with the waiting time. One employee for 6 customers waiting in front of you. Filling out forms takes a painful long time.
Register to pay your bills, it works
Delivery: catastrophic, they give you a definite date and the request to clean you place(washing machine) 2 days later they tell you, oh we will deliver maybe 3+ weeks later. I'm know without a washing machine.
Sumery: a terrible place for doing business.
