Lowe's Home Improvement - Brookings, SD

Had what I needed. Looks like they could use some additional help. Was pretty busy and it seemed like there wasn't enough associates. Store was pretty clean overall and it looked like they had a good stock of materials.

There were many associates available to help and they were great. I ran into problems when I called back for assistance with an overcharge. I was hung up on 3 times by the automated system and hung up on one time by the associate I was finally able to talk to. Not impressed!

Wiley met us at the glass cutting area and did a great job at diagnosing my problem. He was quick and thorough when understanding and providing a solution. Going into Lowes, I did not have much information and was worrying about my project because I wasn’t sure I could get it done. After meeting Wiley, I felt reassured as he had given us the right material and size for the window I needed to replace. Never in my 19 years of being located in Brookings have I had such excellent service.

2 weeks in a row we drove 2 hours one way to Lowes in Brookings SD to pick up a Washer and Dryer set we ordered online. Both times I was assured that they had my stuff. Last week they only had my Hoses and the Washer. Came back today to get my dryer that I was told would be ready anytime after 4pm yesterday to pick up. Not here again!! I understand that trucks can get delayed but when I wait an additional almost 24 hours to come and nobody picked up the fan phone to let me know. That’s a combined 8 hours and 400 miles on the road. Not to mention the time spent trying to figure out what’s going on. Completely ridiculous!!

Super helpful staff. I had an electrical question so they brought a staff member that was advanced in electrical knowledge to come help me. Helped ensure I didn't burn my house down.

Tried purchasing a fridge through Lowes. First two deliveries, the fridge came damaged. Re-scheduled the third delivery and they had scheduled one of the damaged fridges for re-delivery. Then was told it was out of stock and I'd have to wait yet another five days for it to be in stock.

Cancelled the order and went to Ohms who were fantastic to work with

This Lowe's has people who actually know what they're talking about not everybody but a good majority... Or at least they will go find somebody who can help you with whatever issue you're having. Great store and I much prefer it over the Sioux Falls location

Smaller than most other Lowes I have been to, but still has a good selection. The app and locker pickup orders help decrease trips to the store.

Be careful if Lowe’s advertises rebates because they will not honor them. I purchased a Lowe’s 5 Year Protection Plan when I bought my fridge because of an advertised rebate. The salesman said the fridge was eligible and gave me the form to fill out to get the rebate. Lowe’s denied the rebate TWICE saying that I didn’t purchase an eligible fridge or service plan.

If I could give more than five stars to their delivery coordinator and delivery team, I would! Thank you Lowes of Brookings.

Always have what I need. The only thing is that sometimes it's hard to find an employee to help. They are very friendly and happy to help, though.

Spent tons of money at Menardes 1 visit at this store...I was truly helped with THEIR great products. Thanks Lowe's for taking the time

My husband and I visited the store this evening, wanting to buy another oven
and potentially an ice chest (didnt see one in the store to look at again) we needed to order within the next 2 days. Planned to order it tonight, however, no staff were available in our area of the store; others were restocking (no problem) it gave us more time to browse other areas comparing products and prices. Lastly, we eventually Found paint colors needed for our interior and exterior, someone asked if we needed help (not needed at this time, we planned on leaving the store shortly) glad we didn't fall into our "impulse buying". We are getting better at spending time in a store like Lowe's touching feeling the products, doing our research online and then deciding to make a purchase. We were here twice before in the afternoon, good customer servce. Some days we might buy something or not: Love the free catalogs posted throughout the store, we always grab some to take home. Online shopping i prefer, yet, even better to go into the store and see it with your own eyes. Staff may stare, due to you "taking your time" in the aisle; as a "real" customer we take our precious time combing over items/displays, etc., while in the store (it's okay, people are people, it's late we get it; different rotation on evenings), but, I would rather spend my hard earned money on a decent/dependable/efficient item than buying something that will only last 1/2 year.
We will be back again walking up and down the aisles, touching products, and collecting more paint colors, as needed!

We had two pick up orders and still needed stuff inside. I had a very nice lady with Nick Berghorst the store manager. They helped us for hours. Getting our pick up orders ready along with loading everything in our trailer.
Living out of town, it was very nice getting help. We even got a card with them. Because we are definitely going to be a loyal customer.

I work for a company that spends a lot of money at Lowe’s. Went in for roughly $5,000 in cabinets. Asked for help as I needed to get some down. Had a lady call over intercom. Nothing. Did it again. Nothing. So I went and found Nick sitting on his phone who clearly didn’t hear the message. This is just one of the many times I’ve wasted time in this store. I hope we get a Menards someday. For now I’m ordering my stuff through builders.

Stopped in the store today in Brookings South Dakota to get a push mower I was helped by Karen and I think her manager Nick,there were very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. I will definitely be shopping there again and looking for their help. Thanks again for being so professional.

You didn't listen, instead with the best proof we could give said there is no proof so we are out all the money that your fencing people you have do fencing took. Been 3 months of fighting/arguing the truth on our side. We want all our money back (the card whipped free of what we did with your Lowe's card to buy it and our other money we paid strait up back! And interest for the stress you and the team caused!.) we also are keeping the fence the way it was put in. over $2000 of extra fencing stolen and the installation we paid of those items... It shouldn't take 3 months and then you say you see nothing in the truck we showed of emfe cing supplies leaving but when they came nothing In the truck we talked all you up high even Lowe's you are staling money from people and others I bet were also ripped off not knowing it be cause you won't correct the guys you had teamed up so while our bill free and give our $5025 back we paid as a down payment. Also that means you kept 3 months of the card paid so take it as a blessing and do righteously the right thing. Thank you
