Got a call from them at 5pm. That's when they were supposed to be at my house for an estimate. He told me he was going to be late because he was waiting for a credit approval from the bank while he was at another customers house in my area. I said, while I have you on the phone, what do you usually charge for a house in my area. He said it was over $5,000. I told him I paid &1,100 for my whole gutter system. He told me that the filter system was alot more. I told him that there was no way I was going to take out a loan for this and to not come by for the estimate. What a waste of time. I would rather pay someone $100 a year to get my gutters cleaned out. What a ripoff.

I would not recommend to use this company. They are just resellers and they seem to be over priced. The work is done by contractors and they do not back the work done by them. I had the gutters installed under 3 years ago and some are falling down they are needing of repair. Others are mounted to low.

As a homeowner not knowing what I am looking at this was pointed out to me by a couple of different roofing companies and another gutter company.

When I called they wanted to charge me $95 for just someone to look at them.

I will take my business to somewhere else.

As a follow up. This review was created after my contact with support. I understand the point of a contractand as you can see in the Pictures the gutters were not installed correctly and will need to be fixed/replaced.

Gutter instalation was at the end of May 2024, 10 months ago, almost exactly 1 month after i bought this house. A piece of the downspout has already came apart and they also installed the downspouts into my flower bed and it has eroded a pit into the soil. I thought the point of downspouts was to guide the water down and away from the house, but it is draining right onto where my foundation is. Its an old house built in 1877 and the flower bed is simply brick wall to contain the soil. I am not happy about this at all. They also worked on my house until very late into the night past 9 pm. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have made it a 2 day job instead of disturbing my family late at night. The excess moisture from my flower bed is affecting my siding, I can see that there is damage to it now as seen in one of my photos. Oh and before the piece came off it wasn't placed in a way that would guide the water out of the flower bed, it was placed to where it will drain directly into it.

The salesman, who was very much a sales person if you know what i mean, had suggested placing the gutters and downspouts in a way that I really liked but there was no communication between the salesman and the installer. Later when the installer came to work he told me that the sales people there have never installed gutters and won't know the realistic installation placement and are there only to sell the product. The first thing the saleman did was climb a ladder, stuck his hand in my gutter, pull out some leaves, and say "Op, looks like you got a garden in here!" I wonder how many times he uses that line

VERY...VERY Expensive. Due to clogging after their cleaning, rework had to be done the next day in extremely rainy conditions. I hope my drains are still working next year after paying so much. AND I asked 3 people for a report of what they did for my records, to date I have received nothing but a paid receipt.

I had gutters installed around the house with multiple downspouts just before fall last year. The quote and explanation of products was awesome and the install was quick. Unfortunately a couple sections of gutters were collecting water. When I called them with my concerns they claimed that some water left in the gutter was normal but would came out next week to take a look. They noticed above normal stegnant water and the ice I had removed from the gutter and blamed a foundation crack for the lack of drainage. The foundation settled towards the downspout and was in the pre inspection (this crack is decades old and didn't happen in 6 months, it was even noted in their pre inspection.) Their solution was to remove a couple brackets and shove up and bend the end of the gutter that was collection the water. It definitely looks bad from the ground but they said it was "the best they could do". The pitch should have been corrected down the whole line to improve curb appeal instead of a 3ft section getting bent up . This is something that should have been done correctly from the start to begin with. There are other issues I didn't bring to their attention because I figured it was standard in their trade but the correction of my stagnant water issues was a quick and disappointing fix.

Salespeople will tell you this is a maintenance free gutter system. They will show you videos of debris bubbling off when it rains. Literally not true. Unfortunately you still need to get the system clean regularly. Particularly if you live around trees. All of a sudden when talking to local manager, they deny the claim of the salesperson and say no no of course it requires maintenance. Of course, they don’t offer a maintenance package. Strange.

They don’t actually evaluate your gutter system when they come out. They will install their product on any old gutter whether it is working or not. They call themselves a gutter company, but when trying to find a solution to my overflowing gutters post install they kept asking me if the different solutions would please me. Either it’s a solution or it isn’t. They are supposed to be the gutter experts. Did not give me confidence that they know what they are doing.

They also subcontract all their installs to other gutter companies. I recently found out that my install was subcontracted to a company that they parted ways with shortly thereafter. Not confident that install was done correctly because of this fact.

Forget about the warranty. Deny deny deny. Just like an insurance company. Get ready to eat whatever you pay for their product.

While I will admit the people working there have been nice and polite, the product and solutions are not good. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Maybe train your salespeople to just give honest quotes, and that an appointment for an estimate is just that, an appointment for an estimate, instead of training them to use sleazy, high pressure sales tactics and to be insulting when they're told that a client is just looking for an estimate for today.
But thank your sales rep for name dropping your competitors, I decided to just immediately hire them without an estimate, just out of spite. Your saleswoman not only lost a potential customer, but ensured that I'd be going with another company.

My husband had a representative from leaf filter come so we could get a quote. She was late for the scheduled appointment so had an hour before husband had to go to work. She took the whole hour to tell us what the price would be. Husband said he would shop around and let her know. She would not leave and just kept pressuring him to agree today. When I told her that he had to go to work, she said "that's okay, not everyone can afford our products."
I have no idea if leaf filter is actually a good product, but the sleazy sales tactics make me think not.

After contacting LeafFilter, Jerry promptly came out for our assessment. Very friendly, answered all questions, said our construction was good for new filters. Signed contract. Installation crew arrived on schedule, and did an excellent, "quiet", Installation. They gave me a walk through of the final job, I was pleased. Recommend!

Just had gutters installed around my house was a decent experience took longer than expected biggest complaint with the whole experience with leaffilter is the representative who gave us a quote didn't really give us an option to pay other than by cash or check upon reviewing the sign quote I did see an option for credit card payments or financing but when the installers came they also refused to take a credit card a payment so we had to write a check for the purchase which was not something we wanted to do to begin with definitely frustrating when you have other options to pay and their representatives are pushing cash or check

The finest sales and customer service experience. Their product is top of the line quality. A little more $ but they are the best. Especially good if you have pine needles or leaves that clog your gutter. No more having to clean out for a good drain!

Horrible! Non stop phone calls and texts. Pressured my wife into coming for estimate. Then tried to guilt us that he spent his time here when we said no. Took him ages to give us the quote.
We said maybe next year…. And he would not take no for an answer. Next year when we do our gutters even if the price is $2,000 more, we will go with someone else!

Their drivers drive absolutely crazy. I would never call them because they might cause an accident on their way to my house. Weaving in and out of traffic, tailgaiting and going high speeds. These company vehicles should make your business look good and want people to call for service. I know if I ever need my gutters cleaned I will call a company with a better reputation.

NEVER give this business your phone number. I filled out a card at a LeafFilter booth about 5 months ago and have gotten literally dozens of calls since. Ended up going with a different service for my gutters but LeafFilter continues to call and call and call. Eventually it wore me down and I just blocked the number. Definitely will never do business with someone who spam calls people like that.

I've owned many houses during my lifetime, but none as large as our recent one. When the LeafFilter salesman came by, I knew the cost of installation would not be an inexpensive venture. To my surprise, it was less than my expectation. And what a value it turned out to be, from start to finish! The installation took less than a day, and a follow up service call for a minor issue was handled on the day of my call. Fantastic product with excellent technicians! So about two years ago, we were in desperate need of new gutters and leaf filter happen to show up on our doorstep. The sales people are very good at what they do. They offer a lifetime warranty that isn’t a lifetime warranty. At least it doesn’t cover workmanship for lifetime only for one year. Anyway, I had a leaky gutter and had someone come out to look at it. They ended up doing a very lazy repair on it when it rained again the gutter was still leaking and actually it was leaking worse than before I had to put a 5 gallon bucket under it so it wouldn’t puddle next to my patio door. I called the filter to let them know that the repair they did was not a repair at all and it actually made the situation worse and all they told me was “unfortunately you’re out of warranty so it’s not covered” I was under the impression it was a lifetime warranty. I should’ve read the fine print. Like I said, they are very good sales people. I feel that they should have fix the issue regardless, if I was in warranty or not since it was their, lazy repair that ended up failing. Anyway, I will not be recommending Leaf Filter to anyone. based on this experience I will be doing my homework going forward.

I recently had an interaction with a Sales Rep over the phone. While I was initially excited to talk after seeing their ad on Nextdoor, the experience left me disappointed. The Sales Rep seemed to rush the conversation and wasn't very attentive when I had some follow-up questions. Gutters, we’ll today is the 2nd time they came to fix leaks…..we’ll see if they quit now, snow slid off roof and tore one 5 foot section off roof… not covered huh! She told me to call my roofer to put some flashing up well that’s not going to happen since the installed the gutters they should know what they are doing right? So after spending 10 grand on the gutters they won’t fix what Mother Nature does. Would i recommend them at this point no I would not

Sleazy tactics. I had LeafFilter come out to quote our home for installing gutters-there are currently none on the home. I made the mistake of telling the salesman, Karl, I was naive about the cost to install. He used this to his advantage. He used high pressure sales, like a sleazy used car salesman. To get the best deal, you must agree to the next available appointment. Then you find out you have 3 business days to cancel IN WRITING or you are in contact with them. The next available appointment was 2 biz days away...no way to cancel. Come to find out they charge about $30 a foot vs the $6-10 per ft local companies charge. After telling him I was no longer interested, he tried to shame me into keeping the appointment. Sighing, telling me what a hassle it would be for him and his boss to cancel- even though I had not yet agreed to anything. Then telling me I would be calling his company again in a year because the local companies' gutters would "fall off" the house. This company lies and guilts to get you to pay 3-4 times what other companies charge. Stay away.

This company uses shady used car lot hard sell tactics, presenting an absurd bid up front and then whittling that bid down by 65% when you don't bite, with the story that they are going to sell you the job at their cost just to keep their installers working. The only thing you have to agree to for this special low, low price (still a slightly higher price than all of the other companies will bid you without any drama) is to sign the contract RIGHT NOW and get on the schedule. When you decline, they want nothing more to do with you and you are left only with a quote for triple the price what any other company will charge you to do the same work.

After years of dealing with plastic gutter leaks, clogged gutters and downspouts and the annoying overflows caused by the maple trees during the Fall and Winter storms - I checked out several systems for letting water in and keeping debris out. The Leaf Filter system kept coming to the top on all the reviews and I read A LOT about several systems. Going to be really honest and direct. I did not like the price...but after considering all the alternatives, tiring of the yearly battle with clogged gutters and considering the lifetime guarantee...made the jump. Plastic gutters came off and powder coated aluminum went on. Looked so much better. Leaf Filter product was then installed on the new and unprotected gutters of the house and just in time. Raining like crazy and I can hear ALL of the gutters draining beautifully. Expensive, yes, but you pay for quality up front and my house is expensive and an investment. With everything else a person has to worry about home ownership, this is one that is awesome to just scratch off the list. Now, need to mention Chang and Chad. These fellows showed up on time, were extremely polite and they went about this like they really cared about how the work was done. The other thing to mention is that is was COLD. There was snow and ice on the roof and my gutters were frozen, yet they were still cleaned out and the pictures they took of the installation and sent to my phone let me know that the work was being done and done well. When it got dark, they continued working by headlamp until the entire job was finished. The Leaf Filter material is top notch, I think the best system I could find for a K-style gutter. It was installed by a couple of gents who are top shelf as well. Conditions were much less than favorable and Chad and Chang were a great team. You should ask for them by name if you get this system in the Seattle/Spokane area. The five star rating applies to these two gentlemen as much as it does to the system itself. Thank you.

First rain after leaffilter install. Looks like Niagara falls with water spilling over gutters. Waaay more trouble than they are worth. Can you imagine what happens when all this water freezes on sidewalks, steps, and foundations. Total FAIL!! I finally had to un-install this garbage from my house as leaffilter refused.
