The Home Depot - Carson City, NV

Hope the manager sees this. Just went out of my way to buy $500 of material at the Reno Home Depots even though they had it here.

I drove to Reno just to give them my business because I just noticed the new sign (attached photo) saying "screw you RVers" referencing Carson City's strict anti RV parking anywhere "laws" (caugh code cough).

Needless to say, I won't be back here with so many other options around here.

Relatively busy. Not enough staff in specialty areas. Signage depicting wrong messaging, "Not available at our N. Carson store." Yet I am standing there looking at it. When I get to the service desk for check-out, I ask for clarification. Is this refrigerator available here? "Oh, that just means you can't buy the floor model." Mean what you say and say what you mean. Looked for items shown online as available for pickup. Not apparently available for me to pick up and put in my cart for purchase. Most of the swamp cooler pads were in the wrong places because people are lazy and don't put them back where they found them. The signage for the sizes/prices is placed behind the overlapping shelving, so you can't tell what should be where. And no one is cleaning up the mess. All in all, a frustrating visit as I left without much of what I came for, two of which were "big ticket" items. Part of that was being subject to overhearing another customer's frustration at being told that he couldn't get the delivery dates shown online-the whole reason I came prepared to purchase and take my items home with me.

Went in to get some plywood. Liz and Noah were really kind to us and Liz cut the piece to my specific dimensions. Great service, thank you.

Went there to buy plants and pots, while birds and rodents come with nature they have a serious rat and mice pest in the indoor plant section. I was looking at some plants and the mice were all over the place even in the plants. They left open the bird food bags even one was on the floor with food all over the place. I suggest you look closely at the plants you are getting, before buying hopefully you won’t get a surprise.

Always like this HD. Well organized, stocked well and easy to find employees. No problem finding items I needed. Clean store.

We go here since it's close to the house. However, more and more we just decide to go to Lowes. This Home Depot store has the worst customer service you can imagine on the floor. The kids that work there will avoid you at all cost or just rude. Pretty much anyone working on the floor does not want to help you, and there never seems to be a supervisor available. On average we spend about $300.00 a month which may not be much for them to care, but it would be nice to be able to get decent help without having to walk a freaking mile for under trained rude staff that can't assist you anyway. If I could rate this MINUS 10 stars I would.

I went with my boss (50yo) and im (20) The lady that was selling the buckets of paint made in-place was all the time referring to him as my “dad”. Great funny experience. I guess we somehow looked alike?

I was at the Market Street Home Depot today, waited 20 minutes for someone to get a pallet down for me in the garden area. They never did so I left. I called 4 times, spoke once to a real person, to request someone to get a pallet down so I could go back and get more organic dirt. All 4 times they hung up on me. Time to shop elsewhere.

95% of the time I find exactly what I need. Staff are always helpful. Clearance section always has great deals.

Their 90 day return policy is false. I purchased thousands of dollars in tools from this home depot location for our new automotive shop on E. William street. We needed an extra 1/2" drive socket wrench for the shop and went through Home Depot since all of the shop tools are predominantly Milwaukee and we knew that if it was defective (which has happened before) that we could return it. Well the screws in the ratchet head were stripped and the first turn it all fell apart. Since we are busy we have not had an opportunity to return it in a month or two. Certainly within the time frame.

Instead of ordering us a new wrench, they told us that they cannot help us and we had to go through Milwaukee even though I can certainly buy a new one from them.

Horrible customer service and our store as well as myself personally will never go back to Home depot. Lowe's is an equal distance to our shop. We will shop there and will be canceling our home depot prox account.

All over a $75 socket wrench.

Walked the store several times looking for assistance, I finally found an employee that said he would call for help. Waited and waited. Found an employee BSing with a friend at the end of our aisle. I called the store to ask for assistance and Michael came to help. Thank you Michael for your assistance. Good customer assistance.

Simple project to cover entry steps into our RV. One photo is the hack idea and one photo is what we pickup up to improve our entry, one photo is current entry steps. We just spent over 1 hour try to get help & answers in the vinyl peal and stick flooring department. 3 different gentlemen tried to find the person in charge of flooring and couldn't. Finally told us to go to customer service. A nice lady there called and said a person named "M" (I will leave out his name) would meet us there. "M" condescending, unpleasant, unhelpful. We went back to customer service where Earl N. Asked if he could help. My husband is not a person who complains but he let Earl know how "M" treated a customer. EARL went over with us, helped us and gave us a discounted solution. Thank you Earl. I have always shopped at this Home Depot and never experienced bad treatment before. I hope Earl can school "M" on how to treat customers in the future.

2:30pm 7/7/2024: The app doesn't list the location of the framing nails I need. After 10 minutes of looking in the fastener and then pneumatic nailer aisle, I still can't find it and there's no one in hardware/fasteners. I go to customer service. Nice enough guy, but he can't find a location, either. Calls someone to come help me, tells me to wait by aisle 14, but she never shows up.

Between travel and waiting, you managed to waste almost an hour of my time and I still had to go to Lowe's to get what I need. At least their app lists an aisle and bay number.

I’ve had good experiences before but today the cashier was kinda rude to my mom and stepdad about my stepdad asking for the Veterans discount.
