The Home Depot - Lewiston, ID

WARNING: Don't go to the garden center if you don't want to see dozens of dead birds hanging in their "anti-bird" netting, left trapped to die an inhumane death of starvation, dehydration, and strangling themselves in the netting trying to escape. Obviously, the netting isn't sealed properly if so many birds are getting in, and obviously the district doesn't care about the abject cruelty, and unsanitary conditions to bother sealing or removing the netting. Just a truly disgusting lack of humanity to be completely comfortable with letting this happen. Hope you feel like explaining this to your kids when they notice.

Always fast and friendly service, if Im looking for something workers are quick to help me out with finding it or answering my questions. Store is always clean and organized... an enjoyable place to shop.

Terrible service. Worst I ever encounter. I asked for help and he refused. I asked and radio manager. Manager not on duty Very upset. Quality of wood is horrible and went down to Lewiston today wow first class service and much much better quality wood I will not shop there again I spend 2k. And they don’t deserve my business two old and previous managers would not have allowed this. Just horrible.

We purchased 144 Victorian Beltis Pavers yesterday 03/08/25 and a wonderful young lady named Natasha helped us load these onto our truck. She did it willingly, thoughtfully and joyfully. My husband has difficulties with both shoulders and he can only do so much now...but thanks to Natasha, we got it done. She is an asset to Home Depot! All companies would be blessed to have someone like her represent their company. I recommend a huge raise for her. She was slight, but strong , willing and eager to help us! Rodney was such a great help this evening. Me and my spouse went in and weren't 100% sure what we were looking for. He walked us through from "Point A" to "Point B" on how to get the job done, including drawing a diagram, all the while helping us find something at an affordable price. He really went the extra mile, especially coming in so late. To receive that level of customer service was unexpected, but so greatly appreciated. Thank you Rodney for all that you helped with, can't wait to see how it turns out. Happy Birthday! :)

We bought a fantastic multi function Werner ladder at the Lewiston store yesterday and the ladder is fantastic but the service was " more fantasticer"! The service in this store has greatly improved.

We called this Home Depot before we left our home in Moscow, Idaho to make CERTAIN they had the sheetrock we needed in stock. Online said they did, and the woman we spoke with said "yes it's in stock". It's not, and won't be until tomorrow. We purposely went today to avoid the $100 fee for delivery and to avoid the bad weather expected for the next several days. They wouldn't waive the delivery fee and no apology was made for falsified information given. This isn't the first time we've had an issue with this Home Depot, so I'll be going directly to whoever it is at headquarters in an email with hopes for some kind of reimbursement. Apparently, the sheetrock is actually on the property, and says it's in stock, but it isn't being unloaded until the store closes.

Never going here again. I'll always recommend my friends and family to NOT come here.

Thanks for 2 very expensive trips.

Update: I spoke with customer service online and while they couldn't waive a delivery fee, they did give me 20% off my order and it will be refunded to me this week.

Our experience at Home Depot in Lewiston was a good one, with Rodney assisting us with what we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable of the products and extended great customer service with a pleasant attitude. We appreciate his service and look forward t9 working with him again, should we need assistance at Home Depot Lewiston. We hope the company will commend him for his Customer Satisfaction. John in lumber tonight is a great asset to your company. The young man may not know everything but I'll be darned if he doesn't just do as he is asked and doesn't complain even if it sucks. Tonight we needed a pallet brought down from the top shelf of an end isle that was packed with customers orders. He says no worries give me 10-15 minutes and I'll have this stuff moved and the pallet down so you can get what you need. And he did exactly that and even thanked me for coming in tonight.

Absolutely the WORST Home Depot i have ever been to. Had to take back a water heater on Sat 12/7 and they made it more complicated than it needs to be i just needed to swap out the water heater and pay me the difference NOPE!!! Still waiting for the return to show up on my debt card.. Then i go to get the new water heater. Do you think anyone shows up to help? Nope.. Then an employee talking with a female customer comes up the same isle im trying to get this water heater loaded on a cart but he was to busy trying to make time with the female customer to help out someone that clearly needs it.. I wish they had negative stars!!!

Waited 45 minutes just to have someone get my order after being paged 3 different times they finally grab one of the 10 employees just walking around. Then when loading my pickup they run the pro lift right into my bumper tearing it up then back up and run it into the bed. Glad I had the tailgate removed or it would have been destroyed.

Ordered an oven to be delivered to my home. Everything was arranged and was inspected. Drove 8 hours to receive said delivery. Day of delivery they called and said product was damaged and couldn’t be delivered. Offered no help or compensation, took ten days for refund. Talked to Todd the general manager and received a tough luck sentiment. Never will step in the store again!!!!

Dustin is ALWAYS cheerful, helpful, greets you like a friend and always has a smile on his face. This guy is happy to be at work and likes people, when the rest pray for the clock to move faster and are sooner concerned with their next smoke break.
I could be on my 10,000th trip to HD having the worst repair day in my life and I believe this dude could get me to smile.

Marco, Juan and Keri!!! Thank you for assisting us yesterday. We had problems getting the right refrigerator and starting with Marco at the customer help desk it was a A+ experience. Marco went above and beyond to help. He is a a 5+ employee. Keri ( manager?) walked me over to the appliance section and introduced us to Juan. Juan was the frosting on the cake. He knows what customer service is. We accomplished what we set out to do. 5+ rating for you 3.

I probably wouldn't use buy online / pick up in store again unless it were something simple.
After about 30 minutes of waiting for my cedar boards, they were the wrong measurements.
7/8 x 3 x 8' tight knot cedar boards were selected as 1x2 x 10' cheap, chewed up stuff .

I asked the lady if she was sure those were 8 ft
"Yes"
Wouldn't fit in my car because they were 10 ft.

Returned the staff pulled items
Got the 8 ft boards I ordered myself.

Customers:
If you're hoping to save time buying online,
I'd really recommend just going in.

Home Depot management:
Staff is being paid to save customers time pulling the orders. I lost an hour using this service.
Please have them look a little more closely. Inability to distinguish marked 8' from the 10' is just a little careless.

My clothes washer went out yesterday and went to Home Depot to buy another one. The young man Richard Lasiw waited on me and and was the most helpful person that I have ever encountered. He made everything so easy and explained all to me also. I have my new washer in my home now and loving it. Thank you Richard and you will be manager one day soon. In Texas we would say you are a peach. Thanks again. It will not let me put 5 stars but it should be 5 stars

Most amazing employees ever! We came in very disorganized with some returns and exchanges from a project we’ve been doing in the area and Heather and Chris from the help desk were so kind and helpful! People being kind and patient are the ones to remember and are so appreciated! I definitely recommend this Home Depot for any of your building needs!

Great customer service from Heather, Sarah, Rich, Decker, and Tom when I was physically unable to collect or load my purchase. Thank you guys so much.

Got the best deal ever on these electric mowers! the employees went over and above setting us up with batteries, chargers, etc. So far I have easily mowed a half acre and the batteries only went down 10% with 90% remaining. Also it took less than 4hrs to completely charge them from dead.

New to area and am here almost every day. Finding all I need most times. Smaller Home Depot with not as much stock in store, so finding myself ordering on-line from other store warehouses. Can be a drag. Staff has been very helpful and have made "corrections" when mistakes made. In-store staff very helpful in finding things in store. The connection between Home Depot card and Bank card needs help. ID numbers and passwords differences caused me some confusion. And, ofter question to credit card phone numbers have to go back to local Home Depot store.

marco at home depot in lewiston id did a righteous deal for us . we bought a new lawn mower 6 weeks ago, 2 weeks past the return time, and started hearing noises in the engine. we called and they switched it out for a new one immediately. most stores wouldnt take such good care of their customers. a huge thank you to marco and home depot!

My husband and I went in to talk with someone about getting a board for a shelf. We had a couple of questions so we started to look for someone to talk to. We couldn't find anyone except one employee who was helping someone. We found some in another department and asked if they could page for assistance. The did and asked them to meet us by the saw. We waited about 7 minutes. During those minutes I found a board that I thought would work but wanted to ask if it was the best option for what we were doing. Still nobody came so I went and asked again if someone could help us. The page went out but still nobody came I stayed by the saw this time and my husband went to look for someone. He was unsuccessful but while he was gone another employee came to the saw to make some cuts for someone else. He was incredibly rude to me. I told him we had been waiting for at least 15 minutes to get helped and had 2 pages go out. I can't even tell you how rude he was. The things he said made me know customer service didn't matter to him. He finally angrily cut the board. Guess what, it was wrong! If he had asked another sales associate to help or just answered my questions instead of being condescending I bet we would have figured that out. Over all we spend at 20 minutes in that department without any help and we left without what we needed.

Great salesman helped us find a small window AC as our home unit had broken down. It worked great until we got our larger unit up and running. He was quite knowledgeable and we were very happy as it was in the triple digits!
