Home Depot’s App wouldn’t post my review because it’s negative, so I’m posting it on google…

Bad Customer Service
First of all it irritated me that No One offered to help me load this huge, heavy box. Secondly when I went to use the mower (on the first day I bought it!) one of the aluminum cables broke!?! THE FIRST DAY! So I boxed it back up to exchange it the very next day.

When I got there I was told if it had gas in it they couldn’t take it back?!?!? That “I HAD TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO REMOVE THE GAS” before they could exchange it. I said I don’t know how else accept to remove it from the box (again) and turn it upside down and that that would only Damage the mower unnecessarily. I was told it didn’t matter because it was being, “Sent Back Anyway.” Now never mind I’m almost 62 years old, and again No One Offers to Help, but isn’t there still gas in the fuel line?!?! After I turned it over??? Pathetic!!! And STILL didn’t get anyone to help me load the 2nd one!!! Wish we had a Lowe’s closer than 45 minutes…

Love the Home Depot however lately it has been harder and harder to get good service here. I didn't realize that the pro desk guys had Saturday off too, but i ended up getting all the help i needed between the service desk and some stock boys. The Covington Store is usually stocked pretty good, but i seem to get better service at the Picayune store.

If I could give zero I would! The worst experience I have ever had with a contractors order/delivery. Salesmen were very helpful. After that, it was the most incompetent service to date! Driver called me at 6am to leave my 100 pcs of Sheetrock outside in my yard at 6am to beat that severe thunderstorm that went across our state lol my cabinetry and plywood too! I paid $90 for window 10am-2pm my order could have been delivered after storm cleared by 11am! I have the photo how they pulled and stacked my cabinets/birch butcher block countertops on the bottom of a pallet with heavy cabinets on top of them. And wrapped in plastic to ship on flatbed smh they destroyed birch butcher block. Placed the heavest Lazy Susan onto the smaller cabinets. Completely clueless, no type of accountability nor resolution to deliver your materials. Management was even worse! I received a total of $3700 plus refund and much more yet to order for a home restoration project. Manager raised her voice extremely loud! For no reason and I told her; do not yell at me! She got louder and got less than a foot from my face; saying she talks loud! Smh if she would have gotten an inch closer to my face, she would have crossed a line that would not have been pleasant! I have never seen such a volatile individual that should resign! She might yell at her employees, but not me! Angry because she had to issue a full refund and fully at fault! There is much mote …but it will take too much time to type it all!!! Smh

The other manager counted my refund $3500 (rounded out) across keyboard in $100 bills and handed it to me and didn’t care about my safety to my truck with that cash. I have a few more returns, after that; I will NEVER GO BACK! Lowe’s guaranteed me that I would be taken care of! My business is going there, where it’s appreciated.

It’s a typical Home Depot. Nothing special. Found everything we needed to do a roof eaves repair on my dad’s house. They did have a greeter who asked if we needed to find anything when we walked in, but I use the app for that when in store. Although the app isn’t always right, on this visit it was.

We were using the self-checkout to purchase paint and painting supplies. Store employee Brandy asked if we needed any help and also asked if we were members of Pro Extra. We were not so she signed us up for savings! She went out of her way to really treat us like valuable customers. The Home Depot in Picayune,MS is now OUR store for home improvement needs!

I’ll keep this to the basics. I went in to ask about buying the most expensive Milwaukee batteries they sell. They called the assistant manager to talk to me. Her name is Ashley Ellis. She was rude and short with me. She never introduced herself and just said no order them online and walked off. Total time she was speaking to me was maybe 5 seconds. I know I’m just one person and all in all my business won’t make or break them, but I will likely never go in that store again unless I have no other option. I would rather over pay somewhere else. I called my sales rep at B&R, and he told me he would take care of it for me and is bringing me what I need in the morning for $100 less than Home Depot. The other stuff I need will just come from Amazon, they are cheaper anyway.

I mistakenly left 1 bag on the self-checkout shelf with 2 items totaling approximately $30. I went back the next day with my receipt and explained that I left a bag with two items purchased. Two of the HD checkout clerks recognized the two items left by a customer yesterday and they were replaced at no charge. THANK YOU.

If I could give less stars I would. Missed a delivery 2 times and had us thinking it would be delivered on those days. The "real time" updates are useless and don't let them use the words "escalating" or "putting as priority" as those words mean nothing in reality. They just say them to make you go away, but the order is not influenced in any way by this. Incredibly inconvenient and customer service was horrible throughout the process.

Clean, very helpful & knowledgeable employees. Well stocked shelves, abundant tools, vast array of hardware, & appliances! An establishment filled with gardening supplies, appliances, landscaping, building & repair materials of all types! Even plants & powered property up-keep equipment. Oh, in other words, it is an adult "toy store" for sure!

I have to allocate at least an hour or so of my time coming in here and getting paint mixed. I could be on the job working for that extra 30 minutes. I can't even, after spending thousands of dollars per year here, make a paint order over the phone so it can be ready when I get there. Sherwin Williams does it. Benjamin Moore does it. Because they know that contractors time is valuable. We don't have the time to come in your store and stand there line homeowners and dyi's for an hour waiting for someone to even come into the oai t dept, mix our paint while we stand there twiddling our thumbs. Fix that nonsense.

Anothe FAIL at Home Depot’s customer service! I went to get a valve stem assembly for my bathroom sink. I went to the plumbing department, and after an extensive search of the area, ( beyond the perimeter of plumbing), I was unable to find a single employee. I then searched and eventually found a valve stem that was very similar, but had a few minor differences. Again, I searched for an employee but to no avail. I then went to the front where I met with a cashier, explained my situation and requested to speak with someone from plumbing. “Oh, you need to speak to Mike”. She called for Mike but no response. “He was just here”, another cashier said. Then a third cashier got involved, but still no Mike. Another employee was then summoned, who never showed up, and after an extensive wait, Mike was finally spotted and brought to the front. Finally, someone that can help, I thought. I showed Mike my old valve assembly along with the new. “Can this one work”, I asked. “Well, they look the same”, Mike says. “Not exactly”, I told him and showed him the differences. “Oh, well, I don’t know anything about that. I work in electronics.” THEN he tells me, just take it home and try it, and if it doesn’t work, just bring it back! WTH! I’m not going to buy something, waste my time, money and gas, drive all the way home, go through the assembly and possibly have to waste MORE time and gas to return it, because Home Depot can’t supply knowledgeable employees to assist customers!!! Home Depot’s customer service has been on the decline for a while and it appears that improving that situation is not in your immediate plans!!!

Overall the store is lacking experience. It is hard to find someone who knows what they are talking about, not to mention to find someone in general to ask questions.

I recently waited over an hour to get a can of paint, but for the color to be different from the color card.

Picayune Home depot desperately needs to open their drive thru lumber yard back up, the only reason it appears that it is closed is because the drive thru is cluttered and a mess with material spread everywhere.

Hate to say it but as far as Home Depots go whoever set this one up must have been on a pauper's budget and doing some heavy drugs. As many of their stores as I've been in this one is completely set up different and severely lacking on stock. Personally it is only when I have no other choice that I visit this location in Picayune. It's worth the few extra minutes too drive too Slidell too get what I need.

Not all associates will help you but the one that stands out is in the electrical department. His name is Kirk. He knows what you need. Other associations may not be as knowledgeable but they are always friendly.
