Home Depots, like most big stores, are pretty much the same everywhere. It's the employees who make the difference. At this Home Depot, they are excellent! Super-friendly and professional! The good folks in the paint department were so nice and suggested some scent for the wall paint. I loved it!

Clean store. Had a hard time getting someone to help us. Supervisor came and helped us order flooring for bathroom. Had it delivered to home. I liked that because we had to order what we wanted.

After going out of town for a little hiatus I came home to a busted hot water heater. I searched everywhere for a gently used hot water heater to only realize that a new one was only $150 to $200 more than what was on marketplace. So I went on The Home Depot website and looked up what I needed. It said that the store had 36 of them in stock. Well due to past experiences I figured I would call and double check, this was at 8:50 pm est on Wednesday, and the manager on duty verified that the water heater was in stock. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it to the store before they closed on Wednesday so the manager offered to pull the water heater and had it at the customer service desk for me to pick up today (4/17/25). Most big box stores would not have done that for anyone. I was very grateful for everything that he and the other associates did for us. This Home Depot location is always busy since the next closest place is over the NC state line in Henderson. The associates are always there to answer any questions that you may have or just to catch up on the local gossip for a quick chat. They definitely make you feel welcomed in our South Hill, VA store!! Thank you everyone who helped us get this hot water heater picked up today. The installation process has begun and I can’t wait for it to be completed.. I highly recommend the Rheem 40 gallon double element water heater. Plus it’s very inexpensive compared to others… $500 isn’t too bad I don’t guess.

I just really think the cashiers need more TLC. Some of them are amazing and then you have some who don't even speak and answer your questions aggressively. There's about 4 cashiers I genuinely love. But the others you can sense the attitude from miles away. Customer service is almost no better. A skinny girl by the name of Brittney is every bit of rude and shouldn't be working with customers period. Everytime I see her she has an attitude and look like she's forced to be there. The older guy in lumber is okay but always gives hell about having to help with something. Anytime I ask for loading help I'm waiting almost 10 minutes for someone to even come by which then I've done it all myself. It's just really sad how this store carries itself energy wise. A few ruins it for the whole store. I always can find what I need but when I'm met with absent minded and almost idiotic employees it ruins the experience. Home Depot about 4 years ago compared til now was wayyy better. Store really took a hill. If there was a lowe's nearby I would definitely go there instead.

I came in to return something on the morning of the 16th. There was a young behind the counter .There was a man there as well. As soon as I walked up, she gave me attitude. I think I interrupted her and the guy, getting more acquainted.. Forgetting this is her job She has a disgusting attitude and should not be working directly with customers.

worst store ever, if you don't order from the contractor desk you have no clue of what you are getting or when. in the past 4 years i have gotten 1 order that was shipped like it was supposed to. don't plan your jobs by the arrival date cause that just cost me $1000 and all they could say was "duhhhhhhhhhh"

Home Depot is a great place to get what you need. I highly recommend getting the app. Customer service is very good in the store. I drive from NC to patron here and finding someone to help sometimes is difficult. The last visit I had to get 140 bags of red mulch early in the morning and I had to wait a while before someone could load me up but it was okay it did happen, however, I was in a time crunch. The best part about this store is that it is typically well stocked with the plants I need and I love that, especially driving so far away. Keep up the good work. See you all soon!

I've been shopping at Home Depots for too many years. Sometimes the help is very knowledgeable and sometimes they know nothing. It's always hit or miss.

I just moved down to South Hill, Virginia. I was working by hand and manually transporting Secrete Concrete bags ( white flexible powdery bags ) that were manageable for hand building a driveway ( stayed dry ) and then halfway into my order you changed the viscosity of the concrete bags in a brown bag ( they get hard just laying around and not flexible enough concrete for shaping it to desired effect. I will be giving a 1 star until this product is returned back in the store as it’s the only affordable product in bulk to do many hand molded projects with a watering can. Shame on you for switching to such an inferior product and expecting the same price.

Walking in the store my sister and myself was greeted with the most warm and lively greeting from a young lady named Angel.
Then to be assisted by yet another sweet soul by the name of KB.
Thank you for your service

My online order came in. I went to pick-up, the guy brought out one small box. I informed him it was two boxes. He tells me it's only one box. I had to get out my vehicle to go in and check. While the associate on the computer checking. He finds the other box. It pays to read the reviews. That was 20+miles that I would had to travel back. Pay attention. The box had been badly damaged. Praise God the merchandise was not damaged.

Grasses have stems that are hollow except at the nodes and narrow alternate leaves borne in two ranks. The lower part of each leaf encloses the stem, forming a leaf-sheath. The leaf grows from the base of the blade, an adaptation allowing it to cope with frequent grazing.

Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant are estimated to constitute 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, excluding Greenland and Antarctica.[7] Grasses are also an important part of the vegetation in many other habitats, including wetlands, forests and tundra.

Though they are commonly called "grasses", groups such as the seagrasses, rushes and sedges fall outside this family. The rushes and sedges are related to the Poaceae, being members of the order Poales, but the seagrasses are members of order Alismatales. However, all of them belong to the monocot group of plants.

This store has really fallen off in the depths of a cesspool. Customers can walk in this store today, and not a single soul with an orange smock or orange shirt or whatever signifies a home Depot employee, will not greet you or ask if they can help you in any shape form or fashion!!!
I'm guessing the requirement for employment is having a pulse!!
These people are so wrapped up in their personal conversations they can't greet or help the customer!
I'm not sure who's leading this group of particulars, but I've spent my last dime with Home Depot South Hill VA!!!

Over the years I've done a ton of business with this home depot. I believe that is going to change moving forward. I went to pickup an order placed for a project and the attendant running the customer service counter, immediately got attitude with me. My next mistake was going back to get more materials. So I placed yet another order and continue working. When my order was ready another lady was there but gave my receipt to someone who supposed to help me loadmy order. First of this guy took my receipt and went and got carts in then he took off without saying anything. I finally got him to actually acknowledge my existence he handed me the roll cart and slapped my receipt in my hand and walked off. No problem i did it myself but home depot is full of a bunch of entitled Karen's, home depot needs to realize I went there for the customer service but now that that's gone to crap there's still a Lowe's and a builders discount. My 25000 a year i spend there may not count for much but I'm sure Lowe's and builders discount will take it with a smile.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
