The Home Depot - Ellsworth, ME

I went to the Ellsworth Home Depot yesterday to purchase a new refrigerator. All appliances were on sale and I saved $400 on the refrigerator. They person that helped me was Peggy and she was so nice and helpful. I ended up purchasing a new stove and washer and dryer as well and saved over $1600.

This review is to highlight the incredible work of Kitchen Designer Jill (Designer #2408). She has been absolutely amazing at helping me to understand my options, price out different lines, and provide me with all the information I need to make an informed decision. Having her help has probably saved me hundreds of dollars on general contracting fees. I can't say enough good things about how wonderful she has been through this process!

I was so pleased this past Sunday as I had several projects to shop for @ home depot and since becoming somewhat handicapped to have herb come to my immediate rescue was just what was needed.he was informative and helpful in all ways and friendly to boot...good service is hard to come by should be acknowledged where it counts these days! Thank you, herb!

I went into Home Depot looking for some flooring on Dec 7 2024.. I got the best customer service I have ever received from any store that I have shopped in. I am 50 so there have been many stores. Her name is Tj...she came with a big smile walking up to me to see if I needed help. As I clearly looked lost. She walked around the flooring with me explaining and answering all me questions. She was very knowledgeable and patient. After getting home I had more questions so I called Home Depot the next day to find out she didn't even work in that department but took her time to help me I left a message asking for her to call me back and she did. Even though it was not her department. Once again being very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. I don't normally write reviews but TJ deserves to be recognized for her customers service and positive attitude. Thank you Tj Logan ‼️

One of the worst customer service experiences I have had in 50 years. When do employee's get to reprimand customers after volunteering to help them, and continue to belittle them as they try to walk away. I won't return to this store again. Tyler (From Montana) lost you a customer.

This place is a joke. Employees seem to hide from you when in the store. 5:51 on a Saturday evening with 7 vehicles in the parking lot, I called the phone number for assistance since there was nobody in the store willing to help me find a product. Phone rang for 7 minutes and 54 seconds before they disconnected the call. Never will I go to this location again and I'll encourage all of my fellow tradesman to do the same.

Many employees at this Home Depot just stand around and are not working. One woman at online order pickup and return was working alone and had to call for help many times as many customers were waiting, while other people at the cash registers were just walking around and talking. Something like this has happened many times before whenever we come to this store.

Usually more expensive than Lowe’s but I go here daily due to no Lowe’s in Ellsworth. First time in 6 years of being an independent contractor I have been spoken to about my kids sitting in the cart. I spend TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars here and feel as if I shouldn’t be spending money at a store that now has issues with kids.

Anytime I don't know what something is. I just ask an employee, and they actually walk me to the item, they don't tell me where it is, they actually walk me there. They are great employees and very knowledgeable

When I need to pick up parts for my chainsaws. Online it said it had many of them probably 35 to 45. Went there in person couldn't find anything went to the desk for help he looked up on the computer said no we don't have any. Went back over check two different aisles another employee offered assistance knew right away where those items are located and I found 30 of them with a nice employee knowledgeable employee helpful employee unlike the gentleman at the desk

My brother in law from out of state bought me a bathroom ceiling fan to replace the one I had. Unfortunately, the one he bought wasn’t the right size. He had to return home, and told me to return the fan, and get store credit to use for the correct fan. Well I brought the fan in with the receipt, and was not allowed to get store credit. They would only return the money to my brother in laws card. That makes no sense to me and really pisses me off. I remodel homes, and I spend thousands and thousands of dollars at Home Depot, and I don’t like how I was treated. I will now do the majority of my home improvement shopping at Viking, Hammond, or Lowe’s. It was not that much money, but I feel slighted. Tempted to cut up my HD card!

They had what I needed but little to no help to be found . Plus absolutely no options other than check yourself out

Gab and Clayton went the extra mile in helping get my products to the truck and loaded today. So much appreciated since I blew out my knee, which I never mentioned, they just went about making me feel well served today!!!

Visited in mid May. Absolutely stunning seasonal offering of flowers,bushes, flowering vines and trees spread over several acres. The displays were alive with bees and hummingbirds. Everyone was smiling.

Gabe was very helpful in cutting my 5x5 that I bought so it would fit in my bed, thanks Gabe!

I called 40 mins before i got there and asked a question about a well pressure tank. They gentleman had it down and waiting for me when I showed up. Thank you

This homedepot is typical of the franchise. lots of twisty over priced product on the shelf, no help in sight, and when you do get helped 50% of the time you would have been better off searching youtube or google for your answer. its nice that this company exists because they have good hours and the other local options are even more expensive which is crazy, but the truth. Skip the store credit, and any highend tools, you will do better with warranties elsewhere.

Love the place except their employees have very little to no knowledge when it comes to building something or home repair, I was a carpenter for almost 30 years so I know what I'm looking for. I've also stepped in to help customers when an employee has ZERO clue what the customer is talking about.
