The store is big but easy to navigate. They have a good variety of buying options at reasonable prices. The check out is easy and efficient. My only complaint is when buying lumber you have to leave the building and drive around to the back and that is very time consuming considering trying to find someone to help you and the check in and checkout process. I know most lumber yards are like this but I find it a lot easier the way Lowe's operates when it comes to the lumber yard side of things. Also I'm not a fan of the rebate process cause it's time consuming also. Just discount the items and forget about the whole mail-in rebate process.

3 stars just cause of rebate. Sadly the few times I have needed something I'm sold the wrong product. Or not the right amount of product is in my deliever. I asked for fire bricks I was sent 2 different types even though I wanted one kind no biggie can hardly notice. Doing fassica made a delivery order not all my pieces made it. Went in to get siding starter strip said exactly what I
needed just wasn't to sure on size besides 10ft long no biggie they can look up my siding order and give me correct size, right... no i was Given the wrong strips once again, and I have to return for the correct product, hopefully.... also waited around for 20 minutes just for a worker to help me with it, which is now the second time I have had to wait to say I need this so I can pay for it and go in the yard to get it. I have noticed workers like to be on their phones more then attending to customers...

Well I have to say my experience this morning at Menards was no different than any other time I have shopped. The employees here are very knowledgeable and approachable if that person doesn’t know they go above and beyond to find an answer to any question you have. Hats off to everyone who works there my highest respect goes out to you all cause you all make a shopping experience fantastic. Thank you Menards employees.

I purched a dishwasher and paid for installation and removal of the old dishwasher. The installer would not install it, nor did he remove the old dishwasher. Now, I have a new (uncrated) dishwasher siiting in my kitchen on the floor, and must hire someone else to install it and for removal of the old one. I have contacted anyone who will listen. I have sent emails to all available options. I want a refund for this installation that did not happen. I am not asking for a refund of the dishwasher. Everyone says they can't make that decision! You had no difficulty making the decision to take my money. Now, return it! You broke our contract. Contact me! This is not complicated. Take care of business. This should have been taken care of by the manager at Menards. Instead I am left searching for resolution.

So I was loading over 100 2x4x10 foot boards and the guy had to get the next bundle from the rack with the forklift and proceeded to do so. When he had the bundle he backed into my trailer hard enough to slide it on the concrete and I told him “hey there is a trailer back here” the guy just looked at me and put the bundle down on the bottom rack and then drove off, now my fender is bent. This is a terrible experience

So I literally spend thousands and thousands with Menards every month - until now! I ordered a product from their floor with the help of their salesperson person. The item was not stocked so it was delivered later. I had to take it back because it was the wrong item and they charged me a 25% restocking fee! So they just got over $200 from me for giving me the wrong item! Save Big Money - Don't think so! Lowes just gained a valuable contractor. Highly don't recommend, they have been going downhill for months now.

On a scale of 1-10, score is 0. I purchased a new gas range in july, don't remember the date exactly. We picked stove we wanted, got it home, hooked it up, used stove top several times, had not used the stove, for several days, when I decided to use it, oven caught on fire. Requiring ems, fire and rescue, fire put was put by fire department. We exchanged that stove for cheaper model. After a month using this stove, it scorched on back of stove, scorches my good pans, requiring a scrubbing after each use. Also the grates are slick, pans slide across grates and hit the floor. I am disabled and have great difficulty getting around. Oh when we purchased either stove we were not questioned asto whether or not if we have natural gas or propane. Guess what Halters gas has just informed me, we should have a kit to go with hose to connect to gas to convert to propane. I was told not use because of carbon monoxide poison. Well Menards, this is just absolutely unacceptable in a store that sells these products! Don't think I willbe back after this and have spent a hell of lot of money since you have in cape, I think will go to repo on news , so other disabled people are aware of this!

Update...10/29/24 the lower grade replacement air conditioner they gave us. just crapped out too.
That's three air conditioners in 2 years. Don't buy window units from this place.

Note* don't spend a large amount of money there if there's a chance you will need a cash refund. If you spend $500 on an air conditioner and take it back the next day because it quit working you will not get your cash back. But a lovely gift card something you can't spend anywhere else.
I've spent several thousands of dollars at this location in just under 3 years. Mostly soil, paint, hot water heater, PVC supplies, plants trees. Extremely expensive pool supplies. Just to name a few.
I've never had to return anything until I've dropped 550 bucks on a window unit. Had to have it replaced. just quit working. We've had it replaced again 14 months later. All within the listings 2-year warranty. So two air conditioners within two years both have crapped out. The customer service was the poorest I'd ever received. But you'll go up ounce of care whatsoever. I asked to speak to the store manager or manager on duty. They refused and sent some one else that didn't do nothing but escalate a situation she had no idea what she was talking about. Tell me I would have to contact the manufacturer about the AC. However that's not what the listing told me to do it told me to bring it to the store. I asked again this week to the store manager. Finally the mod casually walks up. Gives me an air conditioner that's not even as powerful as the one that crapped out. And $180 gift card that I will never spend. And we still have an AC problem being not enough of it. They didn't have anything in stock equivalent to accommodate our needs refuse to give me a refund and sent us on our way smiled at the door. I've worked in customer service my whole life 20 plus years. And I still currently do. If I had talked to my customer the way that woman talk to me today I would expect not to have a job.
I'm done with Menards I'll go back to Lowe's a little bit more for a better product and customer service

Once again another reason contractors avoid Menards like the plague. Getting them to honor a good size rebate is like pulling teeth. Do they not understand that that 11% rebate is there to guarantee another $100k spent in their store. Guess just go a half mile down the road to Lowes

Have spent over $ 5,000 with Menards in the past year remodeling a basement and building a new fence. Have done business a long time with the Cape store. Bought a weed eater there in May that stopped working after a couple of uses. Took it back and was told to take it to a repair shop since they have a7 day return policy which is kind of ridiculous for a product like this. Ok, so that’s your policy but it’s terrible customer service and relations. From now on I’ll do business with our smaller hometown hardware store. I won’t be back to Menards.

They can take the rebate offers and ditch them!!! Just give us the savings up front!!! It's the biggest rip off!!! That's why the millions we spent over the the last few years have been with lowes or other local vendors only about 1% was at Menards, worthless ripoff store!!!!!!

Been building a house and started out ordering material from anywhere that was cheapest on material I wanted. Quickly learn there is two stores in the area that stick by the what they sell and have customer service. Menards and Buchheits are the only stores I shop at now for building supplies.

When to the paint department to have some yellow paint mixed in rustoleum farm yellow and yellow associate said I don’t know if I know how to scan the sample and then told me that she didn’t have the base to do it but I had handed her the base it called for but she still refused to do it so I went to the office and got a manager but all he did was call the associate and ask her why she couldn’t do it he never went and checked for himself I just had the same paint mixed in the same tint base in the Saint Ann store one week earlier I think if they are going to work in the paint department they need better training in what they are doing

Except for when COVID was an issue and they would chase you through the store over a mask that doesn't work, it's a phenomenal store. I love the way they display their products vs like Lowe's for example. Prices aren't bad. I've stopped getting batteries for motorcycles or cars anywhere else they're usually more reasonable here.

Was purchasing bricks. Paid with cashier. Told that was wrong. Long story short it took five attempts to get correct directions on how to purchase bricks. Also Maddie told me she was GM. That was not true. Maybe she is department manager or something equivalent but she was not the GM. Something so simple took four times longer than it should. Cashier was very sweet and GM was apologetic. Store is clean and well maintained. Other employees said hello and smiled. Maddie had nothing but sour attitude and that was discouraging. One person took my five star review to a two star review. Sonja Willis.

Absolutely love this store. I could stand in the light section for hours. The choices are endless and stock in very organized. Employees were very friendly tonight and we didn't realize store was closed.. yikes,, but no one treated us badly.. always go to Menards when I'm in Cape.

Good selection! And still one of my favorite stores to just browse through. A LOT of selection, variety, and you can get an 11% rebate/credit for the cost of a stamp!

Love this store. It seems like whenever we need repairs in our house. Menards is the answer. So far we have able to get items only before found at high priced hardware stores, and for most times, less than half. Not to mention all the other great stuff they have.
