I stopped in today, and was having trouble finding hose clamps. Associate "Scott" was nearby, and I asked where I could find them. He immediately knew where to go, and he walked me over to them. I appreciate this kind of service that, while simple, seems so rare these days. Scott is an asset to the business.

In a city and state with population over the average age of the country, these guys make a 70 year old with foot problems walk all the way around the front section of the store simply to get to the garden center for no reason I can discern -- other than they want me to walk by a lot of their cheap merch. Inside the rightside front door, the garden center is to the right through an (open) walkway. But suddenly customers aren't allowed to walk through the walkway, and must walk left, around by the restrooms -- an extra couple hundred yards if you simply want to go to the garden center, a lot of needless pain and aggravation for anyone elderly and/or with a disability. I can get everything else in town at Hardware hanks, Walmart's (who happily lets you walk through their store in any direction you prefer, wow!) or any of the several building supply places -- and from now on I will. I'm done with Menards and their management that is apparently determined to drive away elderly and disabled customers. Shame on you Menards for your disregard of the ADA and for the demographics surrounding your store. And don't tell me the reason is because you have some huge shoplifting problem here in Pierre SD. We know better.

Great place to shop (for me) as it’s away from the congested area of the town. I prefer going to Menards for many household items instead of going to Walmart. Walmart has fewer selection for every type of household items. The 11% rebates make the prices more attractive too.

I love Menards. The Menards in Mitchell and Sioux Falls are amazing and have great service and employees. We went in with a list and the employee was rude and unhelpful. An hour later he finally tells us he doesn't work this department. He could have said that at the beginning and we wouldn't have asked him for help. Then the project manager Nate came to "help". He was so incredibly rude, snarky and unprofessional. I can't believe he is actually in a management position. He has zero customer service skills and is just flat out rude. I work customer service/management and I cannot imagine EVER treating a customer the way we were treated. We will NEVER be back.

Mark has to be one of the most un-professional employees to date. I had asked about him to others and they mentioned he is a MANAGER! That is shocking to me. His behavior was condescending and his ability to locate a single item was zero. Do NOT ask him for help.

Aunque nadie hablaba español, pero las personas que me ayudaron a conseguir un duplicado de llave, fueron muy amables y se esforzaron por entenderme y fueron muy pacientes. Me retiré satisfecho con mi compra, ya que en dos ocasiones tuve que ir a Walmart a obtener los duplicados de llave que necesitaba, pero en la dos veces las llaves no funcionaron. Entonces intenté en menards con una máquina automática, por ser una máquina creí que mi duplicado no funcionaría, para mí sorpresa la llave funcionó correctamente. Recomiendo esa máquina de menards

Nate in the lumber yard is absolutely the most snarky, non helpful employee I’ve ever dealt with. There is no way that a guy this rude should ever be a customer facing employee. I know it’s hard to find employees now, but this guy should be in the back on a forklift and never speak to a customer.

Talked terrible to me. Slow to help load MDF, made me pull it from stack and get it ready to load onto cart before he would help. I’ll be back as I’m remodeling a home and a barn. I let it slide this time, but there better not be a next time for this rude know it all snarky employee.

Great home improvement store. You can find just about anything you need for a home here, and if they don't have it they can order it for you. They also have the best price for milk in town along with a few small isles of feed stuffs. No produce. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Their rebate program is pretty good if you're a frequent shopper it can add up quickly.

Had previously picked up material for a building project. Some materials were missing that were ordered and paid for. Went back 7 months later with receipts and we were pleasantly surprised at the FABULOUS service we got. Rick in customer pick up was unbelievably helpful. Great service all around!! We'll continue to shop at Menards.

Way understaffed for a Sunday afternoon. Two employees couldn't help me with a bed because they didn't know about beds. John who works bed , was on phone for over 15 minutes working with a customer on weather they wanted to have him order for them. Once done, John helped me but wasn't thrilled. I got the bed but trying to get someone to get it down off the shelf was a hassle. John ended up finding a machine to go up and get it. What a hassle. I should have bought at my local store and hauled it the 5 hours to SD. Lesson learned. Just be ready to get the run around. No one seemed to care that I spent $1100.00 . Very disappointed !

At 4 PM today I stopped by the. Menards. I had tons of friendliness from the customers but the check out? Seriously Pierre? No welcome..no thank you. Just downright rude. The 11% rebate is supposed to speak for the store now? No voice among those in the check out? Not worth it. Get someome who ENJOYS their job and people...too bad.

Didn't get much help inside. Outside help was great as always. However, the lumber was damaged so that lead into problems as I had to rent a flatbed to go after what was needed. A call went in first and we were told they had it all in stock. I guess they were right but they didn't allow for the damage. Now what? Another trip another cost for a flatbed and gas? Wow. Very disappointed. Not a good day.

The only thing more rotten than the wood is the management! We tried to buy some plywood and it was the most warped thing we've ever seen. My 80 year old father when through a dozen pieces looking for a straight sheet of 4x8 while an employee just sat there and watched, never offered to help. The management didn't care and told us to take it or leave it.

Shopping for flowers. Ok selection even though i saw many dry and wilted ones
Checker was not friendly. Did not say anything to us. No hello or even a thank you have a nice day. Usually we have very friendly interactions at checkout. Male supervisor was not friendly either.
Customer service is lacking in this store lately. Disappointed

This store was so rude about mask wearing. I have 6 small children and I had 2 employees jump on me about my kids having to wear a mask in their store. One employee said the don't have to wear a mask if they are in a basket, so I put 3 children in 2 baskets and walked around and couldn't find what we came for, so we left. When will people and retailers realize the pandemic is over and we are in the endemic now. I was so disappointed with Menard. I'm glad Pierre has a Runnings.

I have done my best to be as patient as I can with this store and their inconsistencies. I buy the same product quarterly...every time I have to ask for help finding it. It has to be modified...today they sent me out the receiving doors to use the chop saw. Can anyone give me decent directions/instructions no. Can any staff stop, no. So after spanning inside the store twice, outside yard twice I find the chop saw, and have to get back to my job.

I get up front and can barely breath due to moving so fast, and the mask. I took it down to try to catch my breath and the cashier, says "put your mask up" treated me like I had the plague. never said hello, nothing.

I am fed up, and will do everything in my power to not return to this store. 3k steps in 15 mintues, no help. and yes I called the store first. The response wasn't great. its corporate and they have no control. They have 100% control of customer service and being decent people They have control of proper signage and attempting to help people.

This morning when I went to Menards, I was so happy to see the signs on the main entrance doors that said : Masks are required in our store. Thanks Menards for showing that you care about your employees and your customers.

Friendly staff, everyone greeted me with a smile and good morning. Everthing on my list was in stock and the shelf. They have a big display of Halloween and Christmas decor on top of everything else -- I know where I'll be shopping to decorate the house!
