The Home Depot - Wasilla, AK

Terrible service from Store manager Shannon Gleason. I made a purchase of a shower head from the store using a gift card. The shower head didn't work for our application so I returned it to the store and was issued an in store credit card. I found the shower head on home depot website that I currently had (it broke) and tried to order it. I was unable to use the instore credit card HD had issued for the return. I called HD and they said I needed to come in the store and they could order it for me using the credit. So off I go and NOPE, they can't do it either. I ask for the manager. When Shannon arrives she smugly says "nothing I can do". This is just wrong!! HD should be able to take care of a small problem like this. The customer service gal (Suzzette) was much nicer and compassionate about the situation, however this manager left such a bad taste inm my mouth that my business will exclusively go to Lowes now.

Came in late in the afternoon with my wife to get some materials for my project. Joyce stayed late and helped us out, went above and beyond. She was the best!!! I've had very good service at this Home Depot so far. Thanks !!!

Had to pick up some lumber and Dom, Casey and Juan were a HUGE help! I was in a hurry so Casey got right to it and enlisted Dom and Juan to get it done.....great service, one of the reasons we use Home Depot in Wasilla! Thanks guys!

Tried to buy a small trailer today but went home empty handed because they are all locked up and nobody I asked for help was interested in helping. Everyone said I needed to wait in the long customer service line to ask for help to get it unlocked before waiting in another line to pay for it.
I’m going to Lowe’s from now on.

The guys in plumbing Dan and Bob are awesome they know my son by name they helped out with a lot of plumbing issues that we've had.

Easier to buy from Amazon.
The Ryobi tools I wanted are all locked up and nobody is around to unlock or help in any way.
Please do better, it is too frustrating to be so close to what you need and leave empty handed.
It's like they really don't want to sell anything.
I just moved into a new house and needed thousands of dollars worth of tools and lawn care but spent zero dollars and went elsewhere.
I may be back but only for little things I know I can grab myself and check out unaided.

The fridge I needed by TODAY to open my business on time was not in stock in the store even though it said it was in stock online. Very frustrated as I drove almost 2 hours to pick up up. Will be going to Lowe’s from now on, as their online stock seems to be updated more regularly.

My husband's favorite store! There's always plenty of parking, we usually find what we're looking for right away. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive. Top quality products.
My only complaint is that historically, you absolutely cannot rely on their website to predict what's in stock. If that were to change, they'd be a real asset

Well it's a Home Depot but they stock most things and the people are pleasant the Garden area is well stocked and overall above average experience.

Staff is super helpful, and it is a good selection. They have a downloadable application that has a store map for all the items they sell and its pretty darn accurate.

I love Home Depot! I am a dedicated Home Depot shopper however my experience is based on the products they sell rather than on customer service.

I used to be Home Depot, but I have switched to Lowes. While Home Depot tries to penny pitch and upcharge, Lowes has offered better pricing and product availability. Home Depot won't ship almost anything up here, while I have shipped several needed things up here with Lowes. The pricing at Home Depot is ridiculous and they try to block cell service at the stores so you can't see how bad it truly is. Wrong business tactic and many things need to change at the Depot for us to come back.

New layout is geared towards trying to shove as much garbage items we don't need into our field of vision in the hope of an impulse buy of what? Toolboxes and other nonsense? Home Depot has the worst selection of hand tools out of all the the big stores.

I could go on and on about the new layout and how bad it is. I won't. All is ask is for those in charge to load some lumber up when it's busy. Yea two carts can't even make it past each other at once. Need plywood? Sure if you're comfortable blocking the entire row to get to the registers go on ahead. If you need doors or countertops good luck in pushing your cart to the front of the store.

Seriously this is becoming a safety concern. How will people exit the building if there's a fire?

Not for me to worry about. Lowe's it is.

I will miss people that have been there for years that greeted me and said hello with a smile. They are amazing.
