I wanted to have a dimmer switch installed in a 3 way light switch. It was easy to make an appointment, Jonah gave me a heads up about arrival time, was here right on time, was efficient and did a great job.

As older people, we tend to talk a lot. It's nice that Devon was patient and continued to do excellent work while we were talked his ear off.

Dar at Vannoy is very friendly and helpfull. Quick response and good work. Very good follow up to service. Very fair cost. Will use them again.

The lights on my driveway gate quit working suddenly. I tested the bulbs, which were good so called Jennie at Vannoy Electric. Dare made an appointment but added me to the cancellation list. A couple days later, Dare dispatched Devon who arrived promptly. In a few minutes, Devon diagnosed and fixes the problem. He was very polite, friendly, and professional. Finally, a company we will absolutely use again! We needed a new circuit/breaker added on with wire ran to the opposite side of our home for a specific appliance, and it was such a relief to find a company who gets it done without price gouging or cutting corners.

Our quote was by far the best we received, even only by a little, but it all counts. They came out and had the job done in a reasonable amount of time and we’ve had zero issues since! This appliances pulls a lot of power several days a week for hours on end, and you can tell they did it right.

Coincidentally after the work was done, a light on the opposite wall started having issues. They sent someone out quickly, at no charge, and found out that I may have not installed it as well as I had thought (oops) and there was an issue with the internal wiring in that light. But Jonah from Vannoy was super kind and took care of it for us at no charge.

As someone who has been scammed by contractors or price gouged, we are thrilled to have a solid electric company to lean on!

We had an urgent electrical issue come up on a Sunday night at my father's house. He is 85 years old, had just been released from the hospital with a broken rib after a fall and has dementia, so any disruption in his routine sets him off. A friend recommended Vannoy Electric, and I called them first thing Monday morning and explained the situation. They said they would be out that day and kept us updated with their expected arrival time. They showed up on time and the job was completed and my father had power by 5 pm. I cannot begin to thank them as I was somewhat panicked that morning thinking that we were probably going to have to wait for days to even get anyone out. But, Vannoy made the entire process seamless - from initial contact to job completion. Each of the staff/crew (Dare at the office and the on-site crew) were very professional, courteous and helpful as they found the problem, repaired it and made recommendations for other issues that were found. I feel that they went above and beyond and cannot begin to thank them for working us into their busy Monday schedule. I absolutely recommend Vannoy Electric. They will be the only electrical company we now call for any electrical issues.

I’ve used Vannoy a couple times now on multiple projects and in my opinion you will not find a more professional company to work with. Every staff member is top-notch and they know their craft well. The attention to detail and the concern for my satisfaction will keep me coming back.

Out standing service. The electrician has always been very professional. This is the forth time I have used this company in the last 5 years. I would not call anyone else for electrical work.

We had a small job several companies had refused so when I called Vannoy I was expecting more of the same treatment (i.e. don't waste our time). What I experienced, however, was completely the opposite. Everyone that I dealt with from the customer service rep to the electrician who came out (Xavier) was professional and courteous. Further, Xavier was on time (not always possible given the nature of the work, I know, but much appreciated nevertheless) and took the time to fully and competently answer my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and family.

Keith was here to give me an estimate. Owen and crew showed up on time and duteously accomplished the electrical wiring, even working until past 7 pm, sometimes. Very satisfied with their work!!

I recently purchased a new build with a “partially” framed out/finished basement, possessing the bare minimal of “electric”. There was a LOT of “heavy lifting” to be done.

Josh promptly came out, listened, assessed and advised. He was equally prompt to provide a quote, response to my many painful back/forth contacts in regards .. and in the end, fulfilled ALL required/needed to successfully complete this job within the time constraints discussed. This was done in the form of his Associate “Rich”.

Rich was a delite and IS a Master of his Craft. He’s incredibly hard working, knowledgeable, detail oriented and an all around great guy! Both Josh and Rich are truly INVALUABLE assets to Vannoy Electric.

Vannoy Electric helped to install an automatic generator. They worked for two days in the rain and cold. They kept their appointments and provided a way to follow up with maintenance. They are very appreciated.

Vannoy installed a transfer switch to our home in Talkeetna just in time for winter when the power goes out often. It was such a challenge trying to find an electrican. We are very happy with the work they did.

Vannoy Electric replaced an old bad Motion Sensor Driveway Flood Light Fixture on our garage for us. They did a good job replacing the old broken one with a New LED Motion Sensor Driveway Light. It was done quickly, painlessly, and professionally. We 'd highly recommend them and will call them again if we need any other electrical work done.

Vannoy was our electrical contractor for a new construction Hall home. Before and after move in we found a number of issues that needed addressing. It took about four months to get on Vannoys radar (no return calls/messages) to get scheduled which was extremely frustrating, and impacted our ability to get things settled. It prompted an original low review but less than an hour after posting the original review, I received a call from Keith, who got us scheduled for work 7 days out. They arrived first thing and knocked the work out. They found original installation deficiencies we couldn’t see, and promptly corrected them. They also verified other work concerns we had to ensure no problems were in the near future.

They lost a star due to the four-month communication blackout, but their work is top notch quality and they’re attentive to detail. Will use Vannoy again for future electrical concerns at our house.

This was my first time using Vannoy for some electrical work at my home. I had them re-wire a switch in my kitchen, install some more outlets outside my house, install a motion sensor flood light, and some junction boxes for some outdoor lights. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and courteous. The technician showed up on time, very nice guy, and he got the job done quickly. I was very impressed with Vannoy and will definitely use them for future projects at my home.

I called thinking it's a tough time of year to get an electrician to work a small project for my home. They said they could probably "squeeze me in" and that's exactly what they did. I had a pro in my home a few hours later and shortly after that they job was done. I could not have asked for more.

I am so grateful to Vannoy Electric and Dare, for making our Thanksgiving bright! They were able to get us on the schedule quickly, rewire and add switch for a a new light which was installed over our dining room table just in time for dinner. The young man who did the work, Dare, was so kind and worked diligently to get the job done in a timely manner. Not only did he complete the wiring with minimal sheetrock intrusion, he hung the new light and cleaned up his area, leaving very little trace of all his hard work. again, fabulous, professional, courteous, on time and reasonably priced work. I have had Vannoy do two projects. The first was a relatively complicated installation of a new circuit board in a 1940"s building, which was necessitated when the MOA put our power line underground and have a requirement that the meter be moved outside. Vannoy met every time event we scheduled, and worked rapidly and efficiently so that the time our office was without power was held to a minimum. The second, more recent one at a different location was a circuit breaker that kept popping off. The electrician was able to spot the cause in minutes- water getting into an outside socket box- and had the materials on hand to fix it very quickly. He recommended that we also replace the outside lights on that circuit, guided us through the purchase of the lights and installed them. I highly recommend Vannoy Electric.

Vannoy Electric did a great job replacing a 5-year-old ceiling fan at my residence in Anchorage on 28 July. The fan required a 14-ft ladder to service (I advised Vannoy accordingly), and the crew came prepared. I thought the problem would be due to a faulty remote receiver and had a replacement ready, but it turned out that the fan motor had failed. The Vannoy crew asked what I wanted to do next, and I told them I would like them to replace the fan with a similar style. The lead electrician went to a nearby box store and texted me photos of several possibilities, and bought the one that I preferred. They returned and made quick work of the replacement. I am happy with the new fan, and I am happy with Vannoy Electric's performance. I am particular happy with how the crew pivoted from a simple job and completed a more complex job, rather than asking me to get back in the queue and wait another 4-6 weeks for them to return (we all know how backed-up household sales and services are these days). Thanks, Vannoy Electric!

Installed backup generator and automatic transfer switch. Crew were knowledgeable and professional. They took the time and listened to our requests for conduit placement and routing. I saw they took the time and care to ensure lines were parallel and the end product looked good. Finally, the last impressive bit of work was that they cleaned up the worksite when finished.

Had Vannoy Electric come out to fix existing electrical problems on a house I was selling. They quickly fixed all the existing problems and reviewed existing system to make sure everything was good. Great service.

Joel & Ben did a great job with upgrading our service panel, doing the electrical work for a large solar install project and installed an additional outdoor outlet for us. They were very efficient and professional and easy to work with. Tony did a great job setting up and modifying the project as things evolved.

Vannoy’s electricians did a top-rated job of updating the old wiring in our house. We had a laundry list of random wiring issues that were addressed in addition to rewiring during our bathroom remodel. They insured that all their wiring was up to code, were professional, courteous, and fast. Experts in their field. They addressed electrical concerns that we didn’t realize were present, and always asked for consent prior to tackling any out of scope discrepancies they found. They were very accommodating to our timeline. Big shout out to Ben!

Keith Reddig, one of Vannoy’s project managers, came out to my Meadow Lakes (Mat-Su) home to troubleshoot what I anticipated to be a major electrical problem. I initially called him and explained the problem and responded promptly and promptly came out after the discussion. He resolved the garage and property electric issues in less than an hour. His diagnostic oversight and technical skills were exceptional. He was kind and thoughtful to work with, too. I had never met Keith nor used Vannoy prior, but I will from now on. A+ and absolutely recommend Vannoy with experts like Keith on its team.

We have used Vannoy on both commercial and residential electrical projects and have never been disappointed in the least. Vannoy did a job disconnecting and reconnecting our electrical lines from and to our home when we had the outside lines buried. They were on-time, waited for the other contractors and returned to finish the job when needed.

I have been using Vannoy Electric for 4 years now. They promptly get my projects done on my schedule without any hiccups. If there is a issue they quickly correct it . I recommend them to other general contractors & home owners. Keith and Doug very knowledgeable and work very hard for my projects to be a success.

*Update* Brad called personally to check-in with me about my review which I thought was exceptionally refreshing and professional. I've never had any business reach out that way. He said they are working to change their billing practices to be more transparent. Customer service goes a long way and Vannoy goes above and beyond.

*Original review* Brad, Jared, and Devon are all wonderfully friendly and genuinely pleasant to work with. I did feel that the job took a LOT longer than expected, for what we had originally asked for and what we were quoted, however to we did a few things on to the job. The first time we hired Vannoy in 2015, there were a few things left unfinished that we had them just recently fix. In addition, Gretchen, the Service Department Controller was quite abrupt and generally not very nice when I asked a simple question. However, the front desk gal I spoke with was really, really great.

Thanks for the great service! Jared was thorough and found the break in the wire to my well pump. Great to have water again. He answered all my questions too, no matter how silly they were. Very good experience.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel and called them to do some electrical work. They sent an "estimator" out two days after I called. He rattled off a ton of work and then left saying he would send the estimate through email. I called the next day and was told it takes a WEEK just to get an estimate from them but the "estimator" would call me back. I called again the next day, and the next told the "estimator" would call me back.

After their week passed, I called again and I was told it took two weeks to get an estimate from them. Needless to say, I didn't have time to deal with them anymore so I called someone else, they came out the next day, fixed the problem in an hour and we're both happy. I would stay away from these guys if it takes two weeks just to get an ESTIMATE.

I don't know how this company has such great reviews. Called them the second week of September for a quote. We set an appointment for 1230. My wife was out running errands and showed back up at the house at 1215. There was a message on the phone when she got home saying that we had missed our appointment at 1200. My wife called him back and told him our appointment was at 1230. The electrician came over after he ate lunch . Pretty simple job for the most part. Running electric from our shop to our new shed about 5 feet away. A week goes by and no quote. I call Vannoy and speak with their secretary. She told me that they were a couple weeks behind schedule and she would leave a message with her electrician. Another week goes by and no quote. I give them a couple more days and call again. The secretary says she will leave a message with the electrician. Another week goes by and no quote. I call once more and ask her what the deal is. She says he is very busy and will leave him another message to get us the quote. Here it is the end of October and still no quote. Ended up going with another electrician as we cannot wait for this lousy electric company to get back to us. Never were we told during the quote process that they were busy or it would take more than a month to get a quote for them. If you need an electrician to get the job done, I wouldn't suggest going with these guys unless you don't need to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Can't rate on their quality of work because their customer service failed before it ever made it that far.

Our technician Brad was awesome. He was able to accomplish any task that he was given, he let me know if things didn't work and he always had an alternative option.
