I'm 63 and have a harder time getting around. Every time I've gone to Home Depot, they've always taken the time out to help me load up bags of soil (Kansas soil is actually clay), mulch or whatever heavy items I might need.

I swear the laziest people work here not all of them but everytime I ask for help not one single person knows anything like how did they qualify for these jobs ? Clearly being stupid is a qualification . Or they use the “ This isn’t my area “ we’ll get familiar and I swear some have such attitude like if they’re a cop or something . They look sus af . Pay attention to the workers how they walk and talk I’ve been coming for about 3 weeks straight ( projects ) and I’m starting to get sus about this place .

Anyways don’t even bother asking the workers anything they’re not familiar with anything weird old guys that look like they’ve never worked construction ever work here

Okay. It's harder to find an employee to help you than it use to be. I walked the whole store including Lanscaping and only found one employee walking the floor to help me. The others were at the cash registers.

The employees were very helpful. Couldn't find a few different product. The employees gave me the exact location happily except one woman that was kind of grouchy. The building was clean and the restrooms are always super clean!

Went to Home Depot after seeing a product online that I wanted to look at more closely (4 in stock in store). Found spot on shelf jam packed with the wrong item. Looking around the shelves in the area I spotted the item I was wanting to look at up on a upper shelf. At this point I went looking for a employee to assist me. Finding a employee to assist me seemed like a daunting task as it seemed like they all vanished. After about 10min of searching I found someone to help me. I should of just grabbed the stairs/ladder that I walked by and helped myself and saved the frustration I experienced at this store today.

Typically I’m a nice guy but I’m quite frustrated. I work in a hospital and was snowed in. They delivered about $500 worth of building materials in an ice storm prior to a blizzard to my address. No attempt was made to keep anything dry let alone freeze. I have a covered porch mind you. Delivery folks left powdered mortar drywall,durock, and plus 3 compound in the middle of my driveway. That evening a massive snowstorm blanketed it. I called to ask for them to resend the materials and their solution was for me to drive 50 miles south (closest location) with the materials that were ruined to get a refund and new materials.
Why is it so hard to get a new delivery scheduled with materials that won’t be destroyed.
Someone please tell me why it’s a good idea to deliver items that are not supposed to get wet or freeze in the middle of a snowstorm?

Extremely busy which I understand Tis the season but when I tried to ask for help to find item it was useless so I called customer service and asked them where the item was. She was very apologetic

The guy in waahing machine area named Anthony was amazing he was helpful, knowledgeable, and very kind. Made the experience for me easy and good. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because in another department a long hair blond kid named Keith was insanely rude. He ignored me until I was literally standing in his face and he continued to ignore me. When I wouldn't leave he told me to ask someone else because he was busy. Another customer looked at me and said " that kid ignore you too " ? Absolutely insane behavior from an employee. I didn't cause a scene or seek out management because I was running late plus i was in a good mood because of how helpful the previous employee was. But still should be noted Keith is an A hole

my receipt number is 2207 62 75176 08/25/2024 7742 I checked out 1216.
I visited the store today and bought some lumber and a shower base. The gal at the self-checkout station came over to me and hoovered, but to be fair, she stated that the bar code on the smartside trim sometimes didn't scan; I was on a phone call at the same time, so I couldn't verbally interact. She was correct though, the 1x2 smartside trim wouldn't scan, so she put it into the system and then did the rest of my lumber. No big deal. As she walked around the cart, she saw the shower base and I informed her that I needed it rung up separately. I finished the lumber purchase and then checked out the shower base. I went to leave but turned and thanked her for her help and her immediate response was to question me about paying for the shower base. I was dumbfounded and still had the receipt in my hand, so I held it up and told her I paid for the shower base, THEN she grabbed the receipt out of my hand to look at it. In the time I spent waiting to check out and while I was checking out, I NEVER heard her ask anyone else if they paid for their purchase or look at anyone else receipt. The only difference between me and the other people I saw go through the self-checkout is that I'm a black guy. Now it appears she only scanned in the rest of my lumber because she thought I was going to steal something. I didn't do or say anything that warranted that kind of treatment and after she snatched the receipt from my hand, the only thing I said to her was "Really?". To which she said she "had a headache". As a black man and a veteran, I find the way she treated me to be repugnant. I don't know what she thought gave her the right to treat me like that, but "I have a headache" sure as hell can't be an acceptable reason.

Had a bad experience buying expensive power tools here. Tools are all locked in cases, employees no where to be found, ask customer service to page an employee. Wait for a while, employee shows up, helps multiple other customers with trivial things, is rude to me twice, and then has to carry my tools up to a cash register. Get to the self check registers, no employee in sight, finally get an employee to give me the box and its beat up. Lovely way to spend money. I'll take my tool purchases to another store from now on.

I am very disappointed. I have purchased all of my appliances from Home Depot for the last 14 years. Different stores in different states and always had a great experience. My wife called today and waited on hold for 15 minutes, and nobody answered. I called when I got home, and got nowhere. I talked to an employee in appliances and was told that they don't ship them to the store for pick-up and won't ship to my house. Which is 69 miles from the store. When I asked how I could buy one from them, I was told they have one open box refrigerator in the store. He did mention that sometimes the manager can get it shipped to the store, but the other "metal in the truck can bang into it, and it's not return-able." Really, that's the story you are going with. I find it hard to believe that The Home Depot hasn't figured out how to ship appliances without damaging them. I called back to speak with the store manager to see if we could get something worked out, aka pay a delivery fee or something. Justice told me that she was "one of the managers" and told me the same stuff as the appliance guy. When I asked if we could work something out, she put me on hold for 12 minutes and then hung up on me. I am guessing she thought I would hang up. But great news... I got on Lowes website and bought the same refrigerator and it will be delivered to my house in 2 days. Try harder, Topeka Home Depot.

I bought a tool that was supposed to be brand new. I was heading to a job site so I pulled it out of the box right in the parking lot. The tool was not new, it had obviously been switched out for a used tool, in the box was sealed back up. I took it back in within 2 minutes of buying it and they wouldn't give me my money back. $270 wasted
