We recently had Golden Rule remodel our Collins Park home kitchen and they did AMAZING! The design team did a great job keeping the character of the old home while bringing a fresh look. The construction team had great communication and they were super easy to work with. They were super respectful of our home and made they kept other areas of the home clean for us to live. They completed everything in the original timeline they had provided and there were no surprises when it come to the budget. The final look is even better than we expected!!! 10/10 would recommend.

I would highly recommend Golden Rule for any remodeling design and work. We were in need of a remodel after a basement bedroom and bathroom were damaged due to a water leak. After several handyman failures, Golden Rule gave us a fair quote to finish what was attempted. We were very pleased with Golden Rule. All the workers were polite, clean and professional. We had our windows redone! We had 16 windows done with Golden Rule. They came out on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and got most of the windows donethen came back on Wednesday and got the rest of them done. They look great! ♡

GR did great work on our first floor kitchen/family room remodel. It completely transformed the space and we love it! Golden Rule Design & Build is a very responsible company. This is the second project I had them do for me. The first was a backyard deck and it was perfect. This project was to remove and replace two side entrance windows and paint the front door a new color. From step one all the way to installation was very well done. The crew was very professional and knew how to do my project. They asked me if I needed anything else before they left. I discovered that my big lock would not work on the door. After it was checked out they fixed it before they left. I now have two great side windows for privacy and a great new color on the front door to brighten up the entrance. I would definitely recommend Golden Rule to anyone that is looking to do home improvements.

My husband and I recently bought a new home. We hired Golden Rule to take out tile floors and install hardwood flooring. In addition, we asked them to repaint the walls in the entire house and garage. They not only did a remarkable job, they were able to get all of this done within 2-3 weeks which allowed us to close on our old home and move into the new house in a timely manner. Skilled Saws worked on the flooring and Dilberto Painters took care of the painting. They were professional, reliable, and meticulous.

This deck project was a good experience for us and our first time using Golden Rule Design & Build. Communication was great between us and Brian, the project leader. He and his team were polite, hard working and on time. At the end of each day, supplies were stacked neatly out of the way and the job site was left clean. We appreciated that they responded to our initial contact for an estimate right away, unlike some others that never got back with us. The decks look great and we will keep them in mind, if we have need of more projects.

So glad we connected with Golden Rule for deck repair. They arrived, we talked through the job and then they went beyond as they knew how to solve the problem of getting the steps off the runners. Looks good and done well and quickly. Again, glad we connected with them.

A simple google search for a remodeling company in Topeka was the best decision I made. Matt and his team were the best to work with, true professionals. The design Alison put together for our family farmhouse was exactly like the picture I had in my head only better. Mark was on top of everything and kept me in the loop every step of the way which gave me tremendous peace of mind. I don’t know all the names of the people that worked on the project but they seem to truly care about every single detail, the best people! I would call on Golden Rule again in a heartbeat!

We had Golden Rule do the first phase of our home office remodel. they repaired old/damaged drywall, painted, installed new doors, installed door and window trim, and installed new lighting and electrical outlets. They were fabulous. Matt was flexible in his bids, allowing us to break up our project into more manageable phases. Noah led the crew that worked on my home. He always gave me a heads up when someone was headed over to work, and kept me updated on the next step. The end result was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I was very concerned about choosing finishes and coordinating everything. Our designer, Alison, was so nice and helpful. She nailed our style and made picking out tiles and finishes painless. I am very happy with our choices.

We had our windows replaced, and Golden Rule did a wonderful job. They completed the work in a timely manner, were very professional, cleaned up nicely afterwards, and the were priced at a very good value.

We hired Golden Rule to remodel a guest bedroom into a home office. This included demolition of a couple of built-in storage units, major wall repair, repairing a pocket door, installing a shower door, new paint and new carpeting. They were awesome! We've already scheduled them for our next project!

Excellent work, Jerry was awesome to work with, and quality and craftsmanship was top notch. I contacted them as they were doing work at my neighbors across the street, and I was having a hard time finding a contractor to do the work I needed. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and I'd recommend them to anyone.

The townhouse we purchased in late July came with a very unique basement that needed updating. Previous wall designs had to be removed and the drywall patched, a new wall was built to wall off a bedroom/office, walls of the bathroom had to be moved to correct previous DIY work, and we chose to install an egress window for light and safety. All of the work was very well done, and the crew was always helpful and respectful, even though we complicated the process by choosing to do some of the work ourselves. We are already thinking through the next project we'd like them to do for us.

Golden Rule replaced a 72x72 front window in my living room. My house was built in 1935 and still had the original, single paned glass window; needless to say, my small house used much more electricity to heat/cool than it does now. I used to set my thermostat at 65-68 degrees in summer. I now have it set on 75 most days and my house is very cool. Golden Rule’s professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is beyond excellent. Thank you to Brian, Mike, Steve, and Mark for doing such a magnificent job in a very timely manner! I will most definitely use Golden Rule again for other home projects!

As an electrician I have worked with many remodelers throughout the years, but Golden Rule Remodeling stands head and shoulders above any other contractor and that's why we decided to hire them when we remodeled our kitchen and bathroom.

Golden Rule rebuilt our back porch/patio rail. Very nice copy of the original. Well built. Cleaned up well, we even had a wedding with the picture window looking right out on to the job site and it looked great, halfway through.

Golden Rule Remodeling replaced all of my windows and sliding patio doors. Not replacement window inserts but the whole assembly frame, trim inside and out. A beautiful job! The project was completed in a timely manner. It all started with them laying down floor protection. I hired Golden Rule remodeling to replace two old storm doors. Other remodeling companies were not comfortable with the project since the doors were stuccoed into the home. Golden Rule was able to tackle the project with ease and did a spectacular job . They took their time ensuring high quality work. We had Golden Rule repair an exterior window resulting in internal water damage in our basement. Justin did a fantastic job and took great care to protect our inside property and furnishings by placing plastic on the floors, plastic over our furniture, and enclosing the work environment to minimize dust. It was easy to get in contact - filled out a form online and they got back to us right away and scheduled a time to come take a look and get us a quote. They work with the best sub-contractors: our cabinets from Custom Woods are gorgeous, Joel from CWC Electric is phenomenal, never even saw the plumber he was so fast... The Golden Rule crews are fantastic, polite and ready to listen and checking in to make sure we're happy.
