We are extremely satisfied with all services received from Safelite on Northern Lights. Although they called the day services were due to change the appointment we explained we needed to keep the current schedule and they made it happen. No complaints, only satisfied customers!

Quick and painless. The windshield replacement was completed on time and with no issues. They even worked with my insurance directly to file the claim.

The West Northern Lights location has an excellent team that will work with you to get your glass repaired within no time. The process was easy from beginning to end. They were professional, prompt, and empathetic.

Technician came out a little early and explained what he would be doing and how long it would take. As expected, he finished in time and work was done without any issue. Best of all, it happened conveniently in my driveway so I didn't have to go to a shop and wait around. Highly recommend this business for it's professional and efficient employees.

Replaced a back door window for me. It took about 90 min but they cleaned all my other windows as well. They were quick and got me back on the road with a perfect new window :)

Quality of their work was excellent. The only issue was getting any information on when my vehicle would be done. It is next to impossible to get through their phone tree to talk to someone local.

what is purpose of the appointments when they are going to work on it whenever they’re feeling like it?

My Initial service appointment for windshield replacement scheduled on Thursday 1:30 PM. They somehow couldn’t finish the “recalibration” on same day so rescheduled me for Saturday morning at 9:30 AM then told me “it shouldn’t take more than 3 hours at the latest, should be done by 12pm or little earlier if you drop it off earliest as possible by 7:30 AM”

So I dropped off at 7:30AM.

Time passed to 12PM and I didn’t get any update so I decided to call. I couldn’t get any update so I decided to walk in to the store.

Surprisingly my vehicle wasn’t even being touched and employee at the counter told me “it might or might not get it done by today. It will be looked if there is no other work to do. Your car is not on priority list, so wait or your next available appointment is Thursday at 8 AM”

I was like wtf???
I strongly argued then they agreed to get it done by end of the day and they finally got it done at 3PM.

I immediately went there to pick up my vehicle,
there was same employee named Devonte? sitting there with AirPods texting on his phone totally ignoring me until I said I’m here to pick up my vehicle.
Then he slowly stands up and walking around like he lost something. Going to the shop, outside, talking with his coworkers then after another wasting of time, I was finally able to pay and drive off with my vehicle.

What is going on with this place? I feel bad for branch manager Travis who is always super nice and super helpful but those employees simply don’t care and seem to be hating their job.

I had my windshield replaced here, and just two days later, it cracked from what I believe was a stress fracture originating below the truck frame. I hadn’t driven anywhere—I was home sick the entire time—so there’s no way a rock or anything else could have hit it. Still, three technicians and the manager insisted it was a rock chip or even suggested it looked like a BB gun impact. They refused to honor the warranty and were dismissive throughout the conversation. One star for poor communication, no support on warranty claims, and a rude team that all stuck to the same story. Nothing hit my truck. It’s clearly a stress crack. I’m out $1,000 because of their lack of accountability. Very disappointed. I would NOT recommend this spot!

Hasu was the technician who did my windshield, did an excellent job, was quick and done right. Also communicated very well on his arrival time and when he would be done. Very experienced technician and knows his job.

This place on time and very polite and helpful and explain everything to me and clean up behind them self

Took my wife’s Chevy Equinox to Safelite on Northern Lights this afternoon. Multiple chips on her windshield. Everyone at Safelite was professional and courteous and we’re very satisfied with their work. And it didn’t take them long at all. Quick and easy! Highly recommend!

I have had full glass replacement done in the past and that was great. No issues. This time I used them to fill a tiny ding I had just got. I was really worried it would crack further so I was super happy I could get in relatively quick. They are busy so it took a few days. Regardless my tech was awesome. Every part of it was on point. The phone call, information, flexibility, knowledge, being pleasant and cost savings! I have never had a bad experience with Safelite Anchorage, Alaska. Also... the person who assisted over the phone, from the office, at the end - when paying... more super great customer service thank you.

Great made an appointment the day before. Had it done before I was off work. Thry were even willing to stay a little late for me if I didn't get there before closing (thankfully I didn't need that). Windshield looks great!!

Couldn’t get a hold of anyone in the Anchorage locations. Also, had trouble with making an appointment online…kept on freezing and refreshing. It gave me a number to call, customer service handled everything smoothly. Made my appointment for the very next morning. Should have called the customer service number first. The actual appointment went even smoother. My technician was prompt, efficient and courteous. My glass was removed and installed in less than an hour. Very satisfied with the work.

Fast and easy scheduling. The work van can’t fit in a parking garage though so don’t park in a garage at work. The tech was so nice and helpful!!!

This was an insurance claim to replace my windshield. I had originally posted a glowing review regarding the ease of the entire process. While the windshield replacement seems to be alright, they used defective parts or broke parts during the installation of my wipers. Two days ago, I was brushing snow off my vehicle. And the passenger side wiper simply flew off with the snow! I have replaced the wipers on my vehicle dozens of times and never had this problem. Upon closer inspection, the retaining tab was either busted off during installation or was defective and did not have one. The vehicle has not been driven much at all since the installation. But this is not my chief complaint. My complaint is that one can not reach the Northern Lights franchise in Anchorage other than going there! I have tried numerous phone calls and texts. Everytime, I am kicked to an automated system that is garbage at best, and intentionally deceptive at worst! While I can not speak to the company's national standing, I WOULD NOT reccomend this particular location.

This is the third time I use this glass shop and every time it has been a true pleasure to work with these guys. They’re solid, and always in time and the job gets done Perfect I couldn’t recommend it more. Junior took of my truck today so kudos to him. Thank you Jr.

Wasn't mad about my window until I tried dealing with the automated phone service. It wouldnt connect me with a sails person. Couldn't direct me as needed and hung up on me. Awful customer service. This is how you loose business. Called badger glass and was able to speak with a person the call was shorter than dealing with the machine at safelite. Take your business to badger glass if you want your time as a customer respected.

The first replacement windshield was warped. When I took it in to have the windshield fixed, they broke my mirror cover, which now dangles from the ceiling and impacts visibility. When I asked them to fix the cover, they glued it rather than replacing it causing further damage to it. I have now been dealing with this problem for over 2 months. They claimed to order the part, but it disappeared and there has been zero communication. Clearly disinterested in fixing a problem that they created. The automated phone system never leads to the store or a real person, which means I have to go in person every time only for them to have no solution. Shop local instead.

Took over an hour past my appointment time to even move my car into the shop, then, I watched the technician run a stop sign in my car. They also turned a little spiderweb chip into a full on two-inch crack in my windshield and they call that a repair. Unacceptable

This company has the worst customer contact process in the world. I tried to get a quote on a window chip repair. You can not talk to a live body by phone for a quote or inquiry if they do chip repair. The system wanted to know my car model but did not recognize the make and model which is irrelevant to a chip repair. Trying to contact them by phone is a complete waste of time. If your time is worth something, avoid at all cost.

Fantastic service. I arrived about 20 minutes early for my appointment. Techs know what they're doing. They got me in right away took about 35 minutes start to finish. They even wiped all my other windows down upon completion.

They will NOT honor their warranty. After the very first rock strike the windshield was already bullseyed again. Either it’s the worst luck ever or they use inferior glass than OEM.

Asked them for a resin fill since we just got the glass replaced earlier this winter, and they wanted to charge $107 for it. Don’t state that you have a warranty if you aren’t going to back your own product.

Shop somewhere else.

My wife’s side glass shattered and the employee wouldn’t even tell her if they had glass in stock it was middle of winter and she had to drive over an hour to get home with a broken glass in freezing temps. I tried calling them and your call service sucks I couldn’t talk to anyone at the location she went to. I’ll never try to use satellite again!!

Absolutely terrible experience. Hands down worst Safelite I have dealt with. Had an appointment scheduled a month in advance with insurance(progressive) they stated that everything went through with insurance and even had a claim number and that I would not be charged when I dropped my vehicle off. When I went to pick it up, they decided to tell me that "progressive was unable to verify" and charged me 450$ and told me that I would have to file a claim with progressive. I live over 7 hours away and would of just kept rocking my Alaska windshield had I known

Had a brick tossed on my windshield. Safelight was by far the fastest service I’ve experienced in town. Great communication, fantastic service and good prices, especially considering all the other factors. 10/10 would recommend.

I had to get my windshield replaced. They kept rescheduling and the last time they rescheduled they made my appt for a time when the recalibration center in Texas was already closed and they had to reschedule again. Then come to find out they broke the clips holding my side window moldings down. I came the shop in Virginia Beach because we moved immediately after. I came in July, they said they would have to order the parts (no big deal) from KIA and they would let me know updates on when they should be expected. I didn’t get any calls back. I called about 2 weeks later and they said it should be there in the next couple days. Still never got a call. I called back again and they said they would have to look into it and call me back. NO CALL. Then in September I get a call from the shop in Alaska saying they just got my file dropped on their desk and she was looking into what’s going on. I let her know this should have been being done through Virginia. She then scheduled me an appt for today and got the Virginia office on the phone. They again said they would look into it and call me back. NOTHING until I got a message the night before my appt to confirm. I went in and they weren’t even sure if they had the right part. NOPE, it was for a wrong car. So again, they will have to get back to me after they re send the order to KIA and cc their supervisor. I’m so fed up with Safelite, I will never use them again. USAA referred us to go there and I will be letting them know that they shouldn’t be using Safelite.

This is the best company hands down in anchorage when it comes to getting your glass repaired in a timely matter, a compassionate company that makes me feel good I’m in safe hands.

First time was not so good, but we called and were able to make an appointment to have it fixed, under warranty very quickly.

Safelite and Anchorage was fantastic to deal with a replace the front and the rear glass of my car in record time after my vehicle has been stolen and returned

Safelites employees are very professional. Front staff and the technician that worked on my vehicle made this stressful process easy. Fast, friendly and informative. I highly recommend and will return if I ever need to use their services again.

The staff was very professional and detailed about the windshield replacement I had done. Took it through the car wash and no leaks, so I say they’re good.

Literally impossible to get someone in the phone. Infinite robot loop that ends with it telling you to visit their website. They installed my windshield about a year ago and it is leaking... Go to a real repair shop and spend $15 extra bucks. You won't regret it. These guys dodge calls and do shoddy work from the looks of it.
