Lowe's Home Improvement - Wheeling, WV

I love this Lowe's. The store is always clean and the associates are friendly. They always seem to have what I need and more.

They had what I wanted in stock. That's about where the upsides of this visit end. The store was filled with employees but nobody was willing to help. My wife ended up having to help me get everything onto our cart - only for an employee to offer assistance after the fact. Super helpful and sure was great to see him stand down at the end of the aisle and watch us struggle for 5 minutes!! Will never return to this location.

Absolutely horrible customer service! Do not buy appliances here! Jaime sold me 3 appliances as a package deal. Come to pick it up and they tell me I didn’t buy one of the appliances! So now I have to buy the appliances because they didn’t quote me properly then they want to get smart with me as I tell them the issue! Steer clear of Lowe’s for appliances!!

Would highly recommend not purchasing major appliances here. I recently purchased new kitchen appliances and have one that is defective. I've talked with Lowes multiple times and they are completely unwilling to assist me. You're better off purchasing from a local store that stands behind their products and customer service.

Bought a dishwasher and set up installation. They came said my driveway had snow and couldn’t get in. Of course it had been snowing all day. Got a text they would be out a few days later, no call no show. Talked to manager and he said we have nothing to do with that. Nice response, set up another install then got a voicemail to set up install. It’s already set up I thought, no clue why it took over a month but never again

I've always liked Lowes, I don't believe that I've never located what I've needed, it's always had what I've looked for. The only thing that has always set anything back is when the employees have no idea what I'm talking about or they have to look up what I'm talking about or what I'm looking for on a cellular device or their tablets. If you're going to work at a place of home improvements I think that you need to have some kind of knowledge of the department that you're working in or at least the basics. Other than that the staff is always polite and they're for the most part courteous. Some sem like their lost or stretched too thin. Lowes is and probably always be my go to store!

We are usually here quite a bit. My husband is like a kid in a toy store. But we're always needing something that needs fixed at our house. So other than maybe possibly opening up more check out lanes when busy, we find what we normally come for... unless we forget what we even went in for in the first place.

Went to Lowe’s in Wheeling to. Get a part for my Delta Faucet and Bill Dunn was the rep working that area, very knowledgeable probably the best I ever seen

Went to Lowe's to get an in-home estimate on the installation of some new flooring. Had to wait forever for assistance in the flooring department as nobody was back there. Had to listen to the annoying "Customer needs assistance in the flooring department" message til it timed out and I had to press it again. Finally got some assistance and scheduled an appointment for Ultimate Home Services to give me the estimate. The appointment was scheduled for Saturday between 8am and noon. Saturday comes and I get up early in preparation for the appointment. Wait around for 4 hours for them to never show up without a call or nothing. Guess I'm not getting flooring or installation from Lowe's if they can't even give me an estimate.

Needed customer service to lift drywall putty (5 galloons) for me and help me to my car. Waited over a half an hour and ended up lifting it myself X's 4 buckets. Not happy. This is not the first time I had asked for help and no one showed up by workers walk right past people. On this day there were more than two people waiting for assistance over a half hour and no one showed up.

Entering the store I ask an employee if he could help, he directed me to a man on a ladder. The store was not busy so why couldn’t he help me. I have never been in a hardware store when other employees direct you to someone else. The young man who helped me had a bit of an attitude. I tell people all the time if you don’t like your job find another one. I didn’t piss in your coffee. Employees are not friendly at all. This was my second visit. My first visit I was looking for items and not one employee ask if I needed help but was asking other customers. I will not return I will go to Menards.

Lowe's of Wheeling still has good prices and availability on their products on certain brands whereas Menards at the Highlands and Wheeling West Virginia have their own brands which are a lot cheaper than Lowe's but Lowe's of willing West Virginia will always be there for me when Menards isn't.

I'm pretty self sufficient, but it's hard to find a lot of things. Seems to be a lot of employees, but finding help is hit/miss. However, the Pro Desk associates are amazing! Amber and Stephanie can work magic!

I have a lowes card I go into lowes find out it nor working my lowes card went from 1400 to 2440 really u close my card cause ill fell behind on amazon and care care went from a 50 payment to a 90 payment what ever do not get this card they'll find any way to make u f all behind so they can get more money. I'll never got to lowes again Menard is alot better and friendly and cheaper on some thing

I walked in here not knowing a damn thing about where to go, or really what to get. I had a list.&this gentleman Dan, who works in electric, helped me. It wasn't his job to, but he could tell i was flustered and was very patient with me and helped me as much as he could! I was getting bath tub, shower, sink stuff for a rental. This is my first bathroom im doing

I hate going here...it's impossible to get someone to help and worthless to ask questions

Update: 3/21/23 - no change, I'd rather go to Menards

Update: 7/23/23 - had to load my own drywall in the store and thankfully a gentleman helped me load it in my truck. No help from Lowe's employees.

Update: only good thing was I scored 2 StormTroopers for my Christmas decorations, other than that, it's still Lowe's
