Recommended Reviews
I did not use ErieHome services as their roofing estimate was more than double any of the other estimates I had done, and this is without having my porch roof replaced. Salespersons never stepped foot on my roof, simply took pictures from the ground and used a computer for GPS top down view of roof. The salespersons do a good job of keeping you distracted while speaking about their products and how great they are.
It would be nice to have had a roofer look at my roof and not a salesperson that went through a training class to tell them about the products they use.
Run fast and run far. It says something that every contractor that I've dealt with in the last 6 months has literally nothing positive to say about the way that Erie runs their business.
As a new customer a few years back, we were treated like gold. Fast forward to April 2025 when a large tree fell on our house after a storm and it was nothing but an ongoing fight to get this company to help. First, my point of contact quit shortly after the incident and it took me almost two weeks to figure out who to talk to. The people in the office are useless, as I was told at one point that "it's not so and so's job". Since there was water coming into my bedroom through the ceiling fan, I was able to get a human to tarp my roof. After that, it took me 3 MONTHS of nagging, calling, begging, pleading, etc. for them to follow through. Mind you, there was a hole in my roof and BLACK MOLD growing in my ceiling. The communication was horrible and inconsistent and excuses never ending (I had to do inventory, oh we can't do that, I have to see, etc.). The consumer is screwed with this company, as your warranty will be void if you let anyone else touch it. Their priority is new projects and making that money. Don't count on them to treat an actual emergent situation as a priority because there's no money in that. RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!!!
Take my review with a grain of salt as I have no intention of using this service, so I'm only reviewing the sales pitch. Had a very well meaning salesperson come by and give me the run down. A majority of the sales pitch revolved around how much better their product was, but really it was more so how bad competitors products were. They seek to educate their customers, which i think is good, but they were the last of 4 separate companies I had spoken to, so I had heard everything at that point. They did not go on the roof, just took pictures from the ground. One comment that that stood out to me was that they would beat their competitors price and that estimates are "just a guess" that can get inflated "by up to 50%" When I got an estimate from our salesperson it was more than double the highest theoretical inflated price of the other estimate I received, so it was a hard sell. Finally, as the salesperson was leaving, they broke the chair they were sitting in while they were getting up and failed to acknowledge it, despite the obvious cracking sound. I'm sure this company does a good job, but this was an overall unfortunate experience.
