I can’t say enough good things about Billy Martindale. From the moment we met him, he was just so easy to work with and had a really deep understanding of the roofing process. He came out, checked out our roof, and explained everything in a way that made sense, no jargon, just good advice.
He gave us solid options that fit our budget and never tried to push us into something we didn’t need.
Billy was super responsive, always quick to answer my calls or texts, even when I had plenty of questions. He worked with the roofing crew like a pro, keeping everything on track and making sure the job was done right. Billy took excellent care of me through the entire replacement process; from initially pointing out roof damage I had not noticed to providing the free roof inspection, including detailed pictures and video of damage, to helping me through the insurance process, and even following up on some minor concerns I had during installation. Billy provided B2E (Beginning to End) service to me. He has a tremendous work ethic, is very knowledgeable of the roofing process and is a man of his word. Highly recommend!! Billy with Best Choice Roofing did an amazing job helping with my claim to get a new roof. He made sure I was getting the best deal and products. Not only did Billy go over everything with great detail he helped me with talking to my insurance company on using the roofing company I wanted to use. He also went over and above to help find a company that would install and reinstall the solar panels. What really impressed me with Billy was his constant communication. He answered all my questions and concerns I had during the whole process! I can tell he is passionate about what he does and really cares for his customers.
Now to the production team. Vicky was awesome! She went over everything that was happening and kept me updated on their timeline and when they expected to be done. Vickys whole team was amazing from set up to clean up! They even covered my whole pool, which was a concern of mine. I can not recommend Best Choice Roofing enough. Great experience!

Best Choice Roofing is not a company I recommend for anyone, they solicit in gated communities which is unprofessional and illegal as of now in Florida, They offer free quotes and scam people out of deductibles and pay their sales employees commission based on how much they want too charge, they’re only in it for the money they don’t care about the services they will find minimum damage and exaggerate as if you need a new roof, find a real contractor with accurate reviews and pictures, you will get scammed do not conduct business with best choice roofing

Jasmine was a great help and very patient in explaining the process and what to expect when replacing my roof. She made the experience much smoother than I anticipated it would be.

I could not be more pleased with the entire process dealing with this company! I had roof damage from Hurricane and they helped me through the entire process which was invaluable. Chris Shoeman was extremely knowledgeable with the insurance process. As someone who had never put a claim through my homeowners insurance, he was able to walk me through a lot of the confusing parts. As far as the roof itself, they did a great job as well as the subcontractors they used for the interior damage. If these folks knock on your door, it's definitely worth a conversation with them.

My husband and I were experiencing some leaks from our roof. Julian Mayo from Best Choice Roofing came to our home and inspected our roof. He was able to quickly locate and diagnose the issues that were causing the roof leak. During our conversation, we mentioned that we were also experiencing leaking along the bottom of our sunroom. Even though he wasn't here for the sunroom, Julian was kind enough to take the time to inspect it, diagnose the cause of the problems, and advise us on the best resolution.

It's good to know that Best Choice Roofing employs experts who possess integrity and are great at what they do.

Unfortunately, our insurance company is being uncooperative at the moment stating that our roof does not require full replacement. However, the evidence that Mr. David Cornelius has provided appears to be completely sufficient! It has been an extreme pleasure working him. Although the insurance company continues to disregard evidence, Mr. Cornelius has confidently & adamantly submitted several pieces information/ evidence (i.e. photos and videos) per their request. Best choice ROOFING is very fortunate to have Mr. Cornelius representing their company. He is a very professional and knowledgeable individual that obviously takes pride in his work. Although we still have not received approval for roof replacement, he is confident that the information submitted is more than adequate to provide approval. The only reason I am providing five stars is because of the confidence we have in Mr. David Cornelius & making sure that our needs are met. Best Choice roofing David Conneiles came to our house after hurricane Milton. He was very professional and knowledgeable and patient. He was here several times to meet with us and the fema inspector. This review is written giving Matt Lawson five starts and kudos for his professionalism, expertise, and wittiness. After experiencing so much disappointment dealing other contractors and after hearing about my experiences Matt proceeded to survey the roof to verify damages. Matt communicated the process, help me file the claim, then he showed up at residence to meet with the roof inspector. My inspection was on Tuesday, February 4th. i receive my approval on Wednesday, February 5th. I was amazed, thankful, and blessed to have Matt on my side. unlike the others i’ve dealt with. Matt knows his product and is well prepared to serve. Thank you!!

The gentlemen were responsive and delivered on their promise to get me a new roof. Billy delivered in a big way. Have not seen the roof yet but am excited to see the results.

Alex operating partner and Julian M reached out to me apologizing for the lack of communication and no show. I spoke with both of them and both indicated that the ball was dropped on their part and this is not the company practice and they would like another chance to correct the issue so
I decided to allow them another chance and on 2-25-2025 Julian M. came out and on time. He did the inspection of my roof and did a video showing me what was gong on with my roof and explain how the insurance works. At this time I am increasing them from a 1 star to a 3 star

Monday 1-27-2025 I called Best Choice Roofing to have someone to come out and do an inspection on my roof. I was informed that Julian M. would come out on Tuesday 1-28-2025 at 5pm - (5:15pm, 5:30 pm, 6pm) no Julian M and no courtesy phone call from him nor the office. NO NOTHING. Wednesday 1-29-2025 still no communication. Communication to me is the most important thing when doing business. If communication is not good it is going to be chaos.

Joey was awesome in helping us get our roof approved by our insurance. He present for the independent inspection and pointed out every area that needed to be addressed.

I own a little house in Ormond by the sea.Julian was very helpful and knowledgeable on all of my options to replace my roof through my insurance company with Little out-of-pocket for me. If you are shopping for a new roof, I recommend contacting best choice roofing, and getting a quote from Julian Ramos.

I had a terrible experience with Best Choice Roofing and would not recommend them to anyone. They engaged in unethical business practices that left me feeling deceived and frustrated. After receiving an inspection that grossly underestimated the repairs needed, 4 sheets of plywood were estimated; after stripping the roof and exposed to the elements, I was informed 82 sheets were needed @ $90.00 each. I had to pay out of pocket and was left to file a supplemental claim alone. When the claim was paid, the insurance company overpaid them, and after 2 months, they have yet to reimburse me for the claim. I overpaid for their services. I repeatedly requested a refund, but they failed to address the issue or return the excess payment.

Their lack of transparency and accountability is deeply disappointing. It’s clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction and fairness. If you're looking for a roofing company, I strongly advise you to avoid Best Choice Roofing and seek out a more trustworthy and professional alternative.

Dave and Forrest are absolutely the best. Any questions we had they were there every step of the way. If you need a roof or have any questions call Best choice roofing! You won’t be sorry.

Don’t do it folks, do not do it. Do not trust them! Do your due diligence trust me I did and it paid off! Forest Avenue One of best choice roofing estimators on replacing roofs in the Jacksonville area came out to my home and gave me an estimate on replacing my roof on a mobile home, a single wide mobile home that was only 70 foot long. I got five different estimates and he gave me the highest estimate which blew all the others out of the water. Now he did suggest that I file a claim through my insurance company which they did help out with a little. But here is the issue or should I say the issues with this company so pay attention. Hi signed the paper. Agree to let them do the roof replacement because he told me and made me feel confident that they would do the roof based on whatever the insurance company agreed to pay. After always said and done and I received the information from the insurance company they agreed to pay $3100 for the roof including or meaning that I also pay $1000 deductible so it was my understanding that the agreement was I would pay $1000 deductible in cash or credit card and they got the check for $3100 and I’d have a new roof because that is what he explained to me in my living room. Now, when it came to me getting the breakdown of what they were paying and why they were paying what they were and what they weren’t. Forest decided to explain to me that I would have to pay the difference of what they were not going to pay he did not care to share that with me in the living room he led me astray, and led me to believe that whatever they were gonna pay is what they would agree to do the roof for.

Now let me tell you the estimate he gave me was $13,303 not counting any additional pieces of plywood that I would possibly have to replace at my expense on top of their estimate. Now when I explained to him what the insurance insurance company said that they were willing to pay , I told him that he was not forthright with me at the very beginning and that he had led me a stray in which he turned around and wanted to guilt trip on me trying to make me feel like I should be grateful to him because he suggested that I file a claim with my insurance and actually got a small check! He made me feel that just because he was not upfront and honest with me that that should be thrown aside because he did me a favor, which wiped out The honesty in the that he should’ve been upfront with me about from the very beginning. He should’ve said right from the beginning Greg the insurance company is going to probably or possibly say this is the number that we’re gonna say that we approve but after we deduct the age of the roof expense and deduct this and we deduct that the actual check you’re really gonna get from us is this amount and that’s the amount you’re gonna get from us And he knew that he knew that from the very beginning and decided not to share that with me so he only gave me part and was hoping for the best himself and when it didn’t work out the way he was hoping and he knew that I had no intentions of paying his $13,000 or anywhere even close to that. He knew that upfront he wanted to place self righteous, let’s turn around and make Greg feel guilty for his mistake of not being honest!

Now the issue here is this his estimate was $13,303. The next two estimates down from that were $8872 and $8245. The next lowest came to $7200 and , the next lowest although they proved to give to do everything that was required by Code and Florida law was for $4800 not counting any additional plywood cost which would be $100 a sheet additional in the event it’s needed!

Now you tell me $13,303 Chantel everyone that this company is out there to screw over the insurance company and the homeowners hands-down no matter what they are out there ripping people off left and right however they can whatever they can get away with they will get away with And they will make you feel guilty in the process for them not being 100% honest with you!

Really wish you wouldn’t encourage your employees to do random door knocks when there’s clearly a no soliciting sign above the doorbell. Also making claims that my new roof has damage and that I have shingles all over my yard from the hurricane (which I don’t, thanks), is irritating and a waste of my time.

Don’t let some random person jump on your roof and tell you that you’ve got a bad roof. This is why home owners insurances have gone through the roof. No license displayed, no insurance given.

If I didn’t call you for your service I don’t want it. Go away.

Lendall handled my roof claim from start to finish. He met the adjuster at my house the day of the inspection to make sure he didn't miss anything. Everyone I delt with was very professional and took all the worry out of the process. My roof was completed two weeks after the claim was started and the did everything in one day! The ground around the house was left exactly how they found it. My roof looks great and I am very happy with their service. Hopefully I will never need a new roof again but if I do I will definitely use Best Choice Roofing!

I am an insurance agent in NE FL and received a call from my client that this company came knocking at her door IN A GATED COMMUNITY to solicit business! There was a recently a new law signed that prohibits roofers from soliciting homeowners! This is predatory! Unscrupulous company for sure!

Earlier this month, a well dressed guy came by offering a free inspection, while saying it was time for a new roof. I'm a retired General contractor. Our roof is 9 years old and will last another 20 years no problem. A free inspection is always tempting, but can lead to torn shingles being produced. Keep away from this company. They are huge and install quality will vary. The door-to-door people usually get a nice commission if you sign. Not to mention, their pricing can be 30% above the norm. Find a reputable local contractor who will be responsive to any problems. Keep your money and jobs in the local economy. I hate to see the elderly & unknowledgable taken advantage of. My sales person appeared professional & courteous. He also blatantly lied to me about needing a new roof.

Their liar of a door knocker William looked at my roof and said I had hail damage, insisted I sign a contract with them so they could start a claim with my home owners insurance to replace the whole thing. He said "out of pocket you'd be looking at $22,000 to replace"
This was all a lie.

Had multiple others come out and look at my roof only to inform me that my roof was just fine and still has at least a few more years before needing replacement. Not to mention I now have a couple quotes of right around $15k to replace my roof.

$7k price difference plus the push to file a false damage claim through insurance makes me never want to do business with these people.
Not to mention that practice could be considered illegal.

Came around telling everyone we needed our roofs fixed/ replaced. 4 out of 5 were new or recently replaced roofs. I’m not calling them a scam, but be careful. Having worked with local media, these are stories that can end up on the news where elders/families get ripped off … maybe it’s just a training issue for local neighborhood canvassers.

I had a person by the name of Tim who came by my house. I have a no solicit sign on my window. He still insisted talking I told him I wasn't interested. He left his card. I called their office to issue complaints due to my sign being ignored. Today again the same Tim came by. I informed him of the no solicit sign and thank you. He still tried to talk to me anyway. Why??? Don't appreciate the disrespect.
